Chapter76 Testing Ethan
“Be honest, Ethan. What did you say to my grandpa?” Sarah pouted, feeling more and more upset. This was the first time she a man treated her like a servant!
What concerned her the most was Clarence’s attitude before. When he heard Ethan had decided to invest billions of dollars in tourism, he was neither surprised nor angry.
He simply said Ethan could decide everything and promptly ending the call. It made Sarah question if she was really his granddaughter, and that Ethan was his actual grandson instead.
“I've told you this before, but you didn't believe me. There's nothing I can do about it. Ah... Press a bit more a little to the left!” Ethan grumbled instructions as he squinted his eyes, fully enjoying it.
“You want me to apply pressure? Fine, I'll show you my strength… A lot of it…” Sarah was so angry that she clenched her teeth, wishing she could push his bones into his chest cavity with her hands.
“Hey... What’re you doing? Be more gentle; you’re obviously retaliating!” Ethan suddenly felt the sore yet refreshing sensation on his back, his face turning green.
“Serves you right! Now you know what happens when you offend me. How dare you turn me into your massager? I'll massage you till death! Stop struggling; I haven't finished yet!” Sarah looked pleased, increasing her strength. She even sat on Ethan's lower back, stopping him from turning over.
“If you keep misbehaving, don't blame me for taking action!” he warned her through gritted teeth.
“Are you threatening me?! I'll show you! Let me give your head a massage as well!” Without hesitation, she raised her fist and rubbed it against Ethan's head.
Unable to take it anymore, Ethan managed to reach out and grab her wrist, pulling her off him.
“Ah!” Shouting in surprise, Sarah almost fell off the bed.
Ethan's expression changed. He pulled her hand back, immediately bringing her into his arms.
Their eyes met for a moment, and time seemed to freeze.
Their bodies were pressed together; even without using his hands, Ethan could feel her curves, turning his breathing rugged.
Looking at her close beautiful face and lips, Ethan felt his mouth and throat suddenly dry up.
Sarah was dazed until she felt his breath on her neck, leaving a tingling sensation. Afterward, she screamed slightly and pushed him away!
This feeling was indeed not something an ordinary man could resist. Luckily, it was only a short moment, so Ethan sighed in relief.
“I'll go back to my room first!” Sarah felt her face burning, as if it was about to ignite. While panicked, she hastily left Ethan's room as she said that.
“She didn’t hold back and bullying me, but she can still act all shy?” Ethan felt the lingering sensation on his back, shaking his head and smiling wryly. He thought he could enjoy a free massage service, but he didn't expect to end up shooting himself in the foot!
After taking a shower, he called Chloe and they talked on the phone for over half an hour before finally going to sleep.
The next morning, he woke up around 9 o'clock.
After getting ready, Ethan went to the dining room for breakfast and saw Sarah sitting at the table, furiously eating as if she had a grudge against the bread. She bit down on it with extra force along with fiery eyes.
Ethan was a bit puzzled as he sat down in front of her. “Who did you fight with so early in the morning?”
As soon as Sarah saw him, her eyes narrowed. He could feel the hostility in her gaze!
“What's wrong with you? Was it from yesterday’s massage? We agreed to let bygones be bygones, so why are you angry?” Ethan was helpless with this girl’s temper!
“What makes you think…” Sarah gritted her teeth, but her words got stuck in her throat. She continued to eat her bread.
“What did I do? I don't understand!” Ethan sighed and decided to keep his distance, sitting on the other side.
Meanwhile, in the office of QU Group's chairman, Frank was watching economic news on television.
“It is reported that this investment company from Norway is financially strong. The delegation visiting Seattle this time will stay for more than a week to fully assess the city’s investment environment. As for the specific investments...”
“The person in charge of the related company didn’t reveal anything before arriving this morning!” Frank was quite interested in this news, pondering whether he could establish a connection with this investment company when Louis walked into his office.
He frowned and asked, “What's the matter?”
“Our person followed Ethan and Sarah yesterday. They visited a few places and interesting things happened. However, Ethan later went to the Tourism Bureau, and I still don’t know why!” Louis informed Frank of the feedback he received.
“What interesting things are you referring to?” Frank was also surprised, asking for more details.
Louis then mentioned Ethan and the two women going shopping, as well as the incident where John and a few of his bodyguards were beaten up.
“You said that Mia’s father is Brent from the Tourism Bureau? He must be in charge of tourism development, no?” Frank was even more confused after hearing this. He was sure that Ethan and Sarah was in Seattle for QU Group, since Clarence definitely wouldn’t let those two lands go!
However, Ethan's behavior yesterday seemed to show no interest in his company, which surprised Frank!
Could it be that he was overthinking? Or did Clarence knowingly give up without a fight?
Frank stared at Louis and asked, “What are you thinking?”
“Should I try to approach Ethan? See if I can figure out what he's up to?” Louis shared his idea.
Frank contemplated for a moment and nodded in agreement. “It's not a bad idea to try and test his attitude. The key is to find out how deep his relationship with the Harris family really is. Maybe things aren't what they seem on the surface!”
“Okay, I'll arrange it immediately. I want to see how capable this Ethan really is!” Louis's eyes gleamed, his tone turning excited.
“Don't think I don't know what you're thinking. I have no objection to you testing Ethan, but don't mess with Sarah!” Frank warned Louis with a serious expression.
“I know. I'm leaving now!” Louis's expression changed for a moment, feeling a bit guilty under Frank's gaze as he quickly left.
