Chapter 245 Zephyr's Ambition

As soon as he heard Kenny's name, Dorian's face grew even darker.

"What to do? I want to know that, too! The people I sent to communicate with the military and the friends who could speak on our behalf, were all turned away by the military. You tell me, what should I do?" Dorian asked angrily.

"You're mad at me? If you have the guts, kill Ethan! He's the one who got Kenny into this mess! No matter what, we can't let anything happen to Kenny. Think of a way!" Caspar retorted, not listening to Dorian at all. After all, Dorian became the leader of the Ashford family largely due to the support of the Salvador family. Even though he was now a master-level expert, in some sense, he still had to rely on her.

"If there's no other way, we'll have to talk to Ethan! He's the one who caused this, and only he can end it properly!" Dorian gritted his teeth and suppressed his anger.

"Let Ethan have his moment. Once Kenny is safe, we'll make him pay! I refuse to believe there's no way to kill him!" Caspar sneered. Her face winced with rage.

"He wants the Skyline Center!" Dorian knew Ethan's goal very well. If they handed over the Skyline Center to Ethan, the Ashford family would become a laughingstock and the subject of gossip for everyone in Everglow City.

"So what? Is Kenny's safety less important than your pride?" Caspar was clearly willing to do anything to save Kenny.

"Let's go to the hospital!" Dorian clenched his fists and stormed out.

He wanted to check on Lysander again. If there were even a slim chance, he wouldn't let Ethan get his way.

Meanwhile, Logan and Zephyr were still in the presidential suite of a five-star hotel in Everglow City. Zephyr had been injured by Ethan and it took him several days to recover. Both of them were simmering with anger.

"I don't know what Brady is thinking. How can he let Dashiell represent the Wilson family in cooperation with the Ashford family? Is his status really more important than ours?" Logan was still upset about Dashiell being chosen as the Wilson family's negotiator.

In any big family, those with inheritance rights would never be happy to see someone without those rights rise to power, let alone have to take orders from them. It was a mess.

But Brady clearly didn't have such concerns. He came from a branch without inheritance rights. To him, those with and without inheritance rights were the same. His ultimate goal was to fully control the Wilson family and make his branch the rightful heirs.

"Talking about it here won't help. If you have the guts, call Brady now and tell him what you just said!" Zephyr, with a gloomy expression, glanced at Logan and scoffed.

"Whose side are you on? Don't forget, we are the rightful heirs. We should stick together! Are you really willing to be controlled by Brady?" Logan's face turned even darker.

"Don't say things like that again. Do you think you have the power to resist right now?" Zephyr reminded him coldly and then closed his eyes, not wanting to deal with Logan anymore.

At that moment, the doorbell rang.

Logan went to open the door and saw Dashiell standing there.

"Dashiell, you're back from the Ashford family?" Logan immediately inquired upon seeing him return.

"Dorian must have refused your request. That's why you're back so soon!" Zephyr, sitting on the sofa, didn't even bother to open his eyes as he spoke indifferently.

"He will agree because he has no other choice! Unless he has the guts to face the alliance of the Harris family and the Miller family without our help!" Dashiell replied confidently, not caring about what Zephyr had said.

Compared to Logan—a good-for-nothing, Dashiell actually appreciated the aloof Zephyr more. At least Zephyr had the arrogance to back up his attitude.

"Why wouldn't he agree? We all want to deal with Ethan. Cooperating with our Wilson family is the best choice unless Dorian has lost his mind!" Logan snorted.

However, Dashiell and Zephyr paid no heed to Logan's intentions. Logan was focused on how to kill Ethan, yet he lacked the capability and still boasted shamelessly.

Dashiell looked down on Logan even more. No matter what, Ethan had the bloodline with inheritance rights. Even if he was expelled from the Wilson family, that was an undeniable fact. Logan, who only focused on internal strife and how to eliminate his brothers, was truly unworthy of respect.

Logan was taken aback by their disgruntled expressions, feeling a surge of anger bubbling within him. Just as he was about to speak, Dashiell's phone rang.

"Dashiell, Dorian has gone to the hospital, bringing along many medical experts. It seems he's making a last-ditch effort!" The message from his subordinate made Dashiell smirk.

"It looks like Dorian is still unwilling to give up. Ethan's medical skills are extraordinary. Where did he learn them from? Could it really be from Francis?" Dashiell remained perplexed, even with their awareness of the connection between Ethan and Francis. Despite their knowledge of this relationship, in terms of medical expertise, it seemed that even Francis did not match Ethan's prowess. This was so confusing.

"Should we give him a reminder?" the subordinate asked.

"I'll handle it! Keep an eye on the hospital. If it's necessary, I'll talk with Dorian!" Dashiell instructed calmly.

As soon as the call ended, Zephyr opened his eyes and looked directly at Dashiell.

"Everybody knows that Ethan wants the Skyline Center. Dorian will likely have to face this reality," Dashiell said, understanding what Zephyr wanted to ask.

"Ethan seems cloaked in an enigmatic mist. When I met him this time, I found I couldn't see through him at all. He must have some secrets!" Zephyr asserted confidently.

"Yes, we both know he has some secrets, but what are his secrets? Even Elmer hasn't found anything unusual about him," Dashiell reminded.

"I will find a way to uncover them!" Zephyr's eyes flashed with determination. The abilities Ethan possessed made him envious and eager to claim them for himself. But he knew he had to proceed step by step.

Perceiving Zephyr's ambitions, Dashiell narrowed his eyes and gazed deeply at him, yet refrained from further comment. Only Logan stood by, perplexed and unable to decipher the exchange between the two.

Meanwhile, within the confines of the hospital, Dorian was consulting with a group of so-called experts for Lysander. However, the conclusion they eventually reached left his countenance notably pallid.
