Chapter 333 Ethan's Inspiration

But so far, Ethan had yet to come up with a concrete way to deal with the potential trouble. At this point, he could only take it one step at a time!

Just as Ethan was still fretting over how to handle Asura Bloodhand, Sarah, Chloe, and Hannah had already returned to the villa with Camila.

"Were you home all day today?" Seeing Ethan come down from upstairs, Sarah asked curiously.

"Yes." Ethan smiled and then hugged the approaching Camila.

"Daddy, do you know what an earthworm is?" Camila kissed Ethan on the cheek and suddenly asked, in her sweet, childlike voice.

"Earthworm? Of course, I know. Why do you ask?" Ethan was taken aback and asked curiously.

"Today, I found a long worm in the flower bed at kindergarten. A little bird bit it into two pieces, and it was still alive. The teacher said that the worm is called an earthworm!" Camila earnestly recounted her experience at kindergarten.

"Earthworms have many lives. Even if they are cut in half, they can still survive. The worm you saw must be an earthworm!" Ethan nodded in realization.

Camila was at the age of curiosity, so it was no wonder she asked such questions.

"Can a person survive if they are cut in half?" Camila's next question made Ethan and everyone else chuckle.

"Camila, people and earthworms are different!" Sarah pinched Camila's cheek and said with a smile.

"Bad Sarah, always pinching my face!" Camila pouted in dissatisfaction.

"Earthworms? People and earthworms are different!" Ethan, however, was completely stimulated by their conversation, muttering as if possessed.

"What are you talking about? Am I wrong?" Sarah asked in surprise, seeing Ethan's unusual behavior.

"I've got it. I have something to think about. You eat dinner, don't wait for me, and don't disturb me!" Ethan suddenly had a flash of inspiration, handed Camila to Sarah, and ran upstairs under their puzzled gazes.

"What on earth is he doing?" Sarah asked.

"Maybe Camila's talk about earthworms gave him some inspiration. He might have encountered a problem in his martial arts practice and got an idea from you guys!" Chloe said thoughtfully, looking at the stairs where Ethan had disappeared.

"If that's the case, Camila has made a great contribution today!" Sarah smiled and looked at Camila.

"Don't worry about him. Let's prepare dinner!" Chloe said, and she and Hannah went into the kitchen to start preparing dinner, leaving Camila to Sarah, who was more outgoing and playful and could entertain Camila.

Inspired, Ethan returned to his room and took out the book "ZF knack" to study it carefully.

It mentioned dividing a person's consciousness into two parts.

However, this was just a literal meaning because consciousness was too mysterious. Although it existed, Ethan still didn't understand what it meant to divide it.

Until Camila mentioned the earthworm, which immediately inspired Ethan.

"Earthworms can survive being cut in half, so why can't humans? If we can fully understand the difference between the two, is there a way to make humans like earthworms, having a second life, or more accurately, the ability to regenerate?" Ethan muttered to himself while researching the characteristics of earthworms on his phone.

However, he quickly realized that transferring the regenerative ability of earthworms to humans was impossible.

The Moon Bead could revive body functions and repair damaged cells, but this was only for diseased or injured tissues and organs. Restoring completely severed body parts was clearly impossible.

Ethan spent almost the entire night pondering the earthworm issue, and by the next morning, he still hadn't found a solution.

Although a bit disappointed, Ethan at least wasn't as clueless as before!

After having breakfast with them in the morning, Ethan took Camila to kindergarten as usual and then drove straight to Emerald Valley.

To solve the problem of dividing consciousness, he decided to consult Francis. He hoped Francis wouldn't brush him off on this matter.

Soon, Ethan found Francis in the Monastery, leading his disciples in meditation.

"Why are you guys sitting like logs early in the morning? What's the use of just thinking about some abstract principles?" Ethan asked in exasperation.

"Since they are principles, how can they be useless?" Francis opened his eyes and explained, looking at Ethan.

"I don't have time for your philosophical talk. I have an important question to ask you today. Let's find a quiet place to talk!" Ethan rolled his eyes and said bluntly.

"Follow me!" Francis got up and led Ethan to his backyard.

Ethan took out the "ZF knack," pointed to a passage, and asked, "What does it mean?"

"Dividing consciousness, such an obvious principle, isn't it clearly explained here? What more do you need me to explain?" Francis asked in exasperation.

"It says to divide consciousness into two parts. How is that possible? Isn't human consciousness supposed to be singular? Dividing it into two parts sounds like schizophrenia! Can you be serious and not fool me?" Ethan said, glaring in dissatisfaction.

"You're wrong. Even in schizophrenia, although it gives a person two mental personalities, they both exist within one consciousness. Here, dividing consciousness means completely separating it, making it independent!" Francis corrected earnestly.

"The more you talk, the more mystical it sounds. I'm starting to doubt whether consciousness even exists. It sounds like something out of a fantasy novel. Can someone really separate their consciousness from their body?" Ethan asked skeptically.

"If you don't believe it, why ask me?" Francis shook his head indifferently at Ethan's doubt.
