Chapter 242 Dead Determined to Save Face
The fourth step of the Nine Flying Needles indeed had the effect of opening up the body's energy centers for warriors and allowing the breath to flow freely. Still, the biggest problem was that one needed to learn how to circulate breath!

After leaving Remington's house, Ethan drove the three girls straight to the hospital.
For the Ashford family, Kenny was already in his hands, and the military had secretly agreed not to interfere too much. Now, it was just a matter of seeing how long Dorian could hold out.
Carlos and Clarence also rushed to Isolde's ward upon receiving the news. By the time Ethan and the others arrived, they were already waiting there.
"Carlos, I'll fulfill my promise to you now and return a lively granddaughter to you!" Ethan smiled.
"I don't doubt your ability, but if Isolde wakes up now, what about the Ashford family?" Carlos frowned, looking concerned.
Clearly, they didn't know that the military had already detained Kenny. "Grandpa, we no longer need Isolde to pretend to be sick. Ethan has a bigger bargaining chip now, so you can rest easy!" Before Ethan could explain, Sarah couldn't help but jump in.
"What's going on? Does it have something to do with what happened at Store No. 1 today?" Carlos was immediately intrigued.
They were well aware of how Lucien and the others had escaped in front of Kenny and that Ethan had even confronted Kenny, but they weren't clear on what had happened afterward.
Sarah then briefly explained what had happened to Lysander, leaving Carlos and Clarence speechless and looking at Ethan with a hint of astonishment.
"Don't look at me like that!" Ethan said, shaking his head with a wry smile.
"You really are something, aren't you? How dare you frame someone so blatantly on their turf and even get Kenny locked up?" Carlos didn't know whether to praise Ethan for his cleverness and resourcefulness or criticize him for being so evil.
He thought, 'Fortunately, Ethan is on our side. If he were an enemy, I would probably be played like a fiddle! It really takes the younger generation to pull off something like this.'
Carlos and Clarence, having lived most of their lives, were still taken aback by Ethan's cunning yet highly effective tactics.
"Well, Kenny foolishly gave me the opportunity. Wait. Let me wake up Isolde first!" Ethan smiled, opened the door to the hospital room, and walked in.
A few minutes later, the door opened again, and Ethan walked out.
"How is she?" Carlos quickly asked.
Although he didn't need to worry about Isolde's safety with Ethan around, as her grandfather, he couldn't help but be concerned. Naturally, he preferred to see Isolde lively and well rather than bedridden.
"Grandpa!" A familiar voice came through.
Wearing a hospital gown, Isolde appeared behind Ethan, looking rosy and full of life—nothing like someone who had been on the brink of death.
"Isolde, are you alright?" Carlos couldn't help but be overjoyed.
"Yes, I'm fine." Isolde nodded and smiled.
"I've had you lie in bed for a few days. You don't blame me, do you?" Ethan asked with a smile.
"You saved me that night, and you did all this to trouble the Ashford family and help me vent my anger. I'm not that petty. Let's call it even!" Isolde pouted and huffed.
"Isolde, if Ethan hadn't arrived in time that night, do you think you wouldn't have ended up in the hospital? Now it's just acting, and you still feel wronged?" Carlos frowned in displeasure at Isolde's attitude towards Ethan.
"Grandpa, am I really your granddaughter? I just got better, and you're already taking his side?" Isolde pouted, clearly unable to immediately change her attitude towards Ethan due to her pride.
"Carlos, don't make it hard for her. This is fine! Let's call it even." Ethan smiled, trying to defuse the situation.
Upon hearing this, Isolde gave Ethan a look and then turned to Carlos, saying, "Grandpa, I'm fine now. Arrange for my discharge. I want to go home!"
Carlos turned to look at Ethan.
"Isolde is fine now. She can go home anytime! Besides, the hospital isn't a great place to stay. It's more comfortable at home!" Ethan nodded and smiled.
"Alright, let's all head back to the Harris's home!" Carlos agreed with a smile.
They returned to the Harris's home in high spirits. Lucien and the others, who had been waiting at the door, were overjoyed to see Isolde return safely and quickly went up to greet her.
After expressing his happiness, Lucien didn't forget to thank Ethan.
"It's nothing. I promised Carlos and you all that Isolde would be fine. I kept my word!" Ethan smiled and nodded.
"I just got back, and you're already switching sides? Come with me. While I was away, I heard you did a lot. Report to me immediately!" Isolde, seeing Lucien's grateful expression towards Ethan, felt a pang of jealousy, as if Ethan had suddenly bought off her loyal follower. She immediately felt displeased.
"Mr. Wilson, I'm sorry!" Lucien said, looking embarrassed.
"Go ahead, or she'll really get mad!" Ethan said, watching Isolde storm into the house and shaking his head with a wry smile. He thought to himself, 'Isolde, though prideful and a bit spoiled, isn't bad at heart. In fact, she has her endearing qualities.'
"Ethan, as a peer, you're more mature and capable than these kids. The Harris family's younger generation will need your support in the future. I have spoiled Isolde since she was little. Please don't take it to heart!" Carlos said to Ethan with a helpless expression.
"Carlos, you're too kind. We're all family, and I'll help where I can. Besides, she's Sarah's sister!" Ethan didn't take Isolde's attitude to heart at all.
He thought, 'Though she looked down on me, it is clearly due to her damned pride, not something serious. She wouldn't actively cause trouble in the future, so why bother?'
"Let's go, let's talk in the study!" Carlos nodded appreciatively and led the way to his study.
Carlos was indeed surprised by Ethan's quiet handling of Kenny, and he had some questions to discuss with Ethan.
After all, as the Ashford family wasn't ordinary, Dorian might not accept this loss!
