Chapter 640 Deborah's Curiosity
"These are Magic Stones, don't make a fuss!"
Just as Ethan was feeling conflicted, Angel's voice suddenly appeared in his Sea of Consciousness.
"What is that?" Ethan asked, intrigued.
Even if Angel hadn't mentioned it, he was planning to ask her about it.
"To put it simply, it's a type of raw stone that can absorb the natural essence. The stone is extremely tough and can enhance the power of weapons, so it's one of the basic materials that Weapons Artificers must have!" Angel explained nonchalantly.
"You mean this is material for making weapons?" Ethan's heart skipped a beat. He had come across records of Weapons Artificers while browsing through the ancient texts of the SA Guild. They were capable of forging divine weapons, but they had long since disappeared!
Even the lowest-level Weapons Artificer could create weapons that were at least of the initial level of magical treasures.
But why would the ML Guild collect so many materials for weapon forging?
"The Magic Stone is not just for weapons; puppets or other special magical and spiritual tools also use it. Like the puppet you destroyed earlier, it also contained it! However, the creator's forging technique was too crude to bring out its basic effects, so you easily shattered it!" Angel explained dismissively.
"I see, it seems Dirk collected these stones not for himself but under Kirk's orders!" Ethan immediately understood the situation.
"I'll keep these three boxes of stones; you can do whatever you want with the rest," Ethan said, turning to Patricia and Deborah.
"Do you know what these stones are?" Deborah asked curiously.
"I'm not sure, so I'm planning to take them back for research. You should quickly have your disciples move the rest back to avoid any complications," Ethan shook his head and reminded them seriously.
"Are you worried that the Hills Guild will cause trouble?" Patricia, clearly more thoughtful, asked with a frown.
"Even if they come, they'll be looking for me, not you," Ethan said with a calm smile.
After learning that these Magic Stones were likely collected by Dirk under Kirk's orders, he had a feeling that the Hills Guild wouldn't let it go!
Moreover, with Orla by his side, he believed Kirk wouldn't give up so easily!
At this point, only Ethan and his group were left in the ML Guild. The disciples and women who had stayed behind had long fled, fearing Ethan would kill them all.
As for the last two master-level experts, Kenneth had directly crippled their abilities and thrown them out. Not taking their lives was already considered merciful!
The group took the three boxes of Magic Stones and left the ML Guild's secret realm.
Ethan opened the passage to the Tiger Mount's secret realm and had Shane take the three boxes inside.
As for Patricia and Deborah, they needed to notify their disciples to come and take over the entire ML Guild's assets.
"Well, ladies, now that this matter is settled, I'll take my leave," Ethan said to Patricia and Deborah.
"Mr. Wilson, are you leaving already? Won't you stay at the Ladies Guild for a few more days?" Deborah was surprised that Ethan was leaving so soon. Was he really comfortable leaving the Sacred Wood at the Ladies Guild?
"Your place is full of women; it's better if I don't stay. As for the Sacred Wood, I said I'd lend it to you, so I'll leave it there for now. If I need it in the future, I'll come to get it. Also, if you encounter any trouble, feel free to contact me," Ethan said with a wry smile, thinking of Bonnie at the Ladies Guild.
"In that case, thank you, Mr. Wilson, for your generosity. We won't be polite about taking the ML Guild's assets!" Patricia said to Ethan, feeling a bit embarrassed.
"No problem, we're friends. You might even be able to help me in the future. Consider it an investment," Ethan said with a carefree smile.
"If the Hills Guild comes looking for us..." Patricia began, but Ethan interrupted her before she could finish.
"If they come, just tell them I took the stuff they want. They won't trouble you," Ethan instructed straightforwardly.
"Mr. Wilson, you misunderstand. I didn't mean that. We would never betray a friend," Patricia quickly explained.
"I understand. I'm telling you to say that because, first, I did take the stuff, and I believe the Hills Guild won't care about the ML Guild's assets. Second, you can't bear the responsibility," Ethan reminded her with a smile.
Patricia was momentarily speechless.
She understood that Ethan was referring to the treasure on Vast Mountain and the three boxes he had just taken.
While the ML Guild's assets were a huge fortune for the Ladies Guild, they were nothing to a super sect like the Hills Guild!
Thinking of this, Patricia's gaze fell on Orla.
"That's settled then. I have other matters to attend to, so I'll take my leave. Until we meet again!" Ethan said, giving Kenneth a signal.
As soon as he finished speaking, they disappeared from Patricia and Deborah's sight.
"Patricia, who exactly is Ethan? Are you hiding something from me?" Deborah asked, staring intently at Patricia.
"You're just too curious. Ethan warned us to keep his secret, remember?" Patricia reminded her helplessly.
"Yes, so I didn't ask much. But I've always suspected that an ordinary person couldn't have such abilities, and he can even carry a secret realm around!" Deborah said, feeling frustrated.
When Ethan had opened the secret realm passage on Vast Mountain and called Shane out, she had been shocked. Now that Ethan was gone, she couldn't hold back her curiosity any longer!
"I can tell you, but you must promise not to tell anyone, not even Melissa and the others!" Patricia said seriously.
"What? We have to keep it from our own people? Melissa isn't an outsider!" Deborah said, even more surprised.
"If you hadn't come along this time, I wouldn't be telling you either. I promised Mr. Wilson not to reveal his identity to anyone!" Patricia's explanation only made Deborah more curious.
"How important is his identity that it needs to be so secretive? Fine, I promise not to tell anyone. Now, tell me!" Deborah urged impatiently.
"He's the current head of the ZF Guild of the Tiger Mount. Do you think such an identity can be easily exposed?" Patricia finally revealed Ethan's most shocking identity.
"Tiger Mount! Isn't that in Celestia Vale..." Deborah's eyes widened in shock.
"Just keep it to yourself and remember, don't tell anyone!" Patricia quickly stopped Deborah from saying more and reminded her seriously.
