Chapter 105 Ethan's Attitude
Sharon didn't expect someone to stop her. She was about to turn around and vent her anger, but when she saw the person in front of her, she swallowed her words as joy appeared on her face.
The person happened to be Ethan, who was passing by. He couldn't just stand by and watch as Sharon was about to physically hurt someone in the office. After all, this was Chloe's company!
She excitedly said, “Ethan, you're finally here! Do you know how long I’ve been waiting for you?”
“Why are you here, and who said you could hit employees?” Ethan frowned and asked in anger.
“You... Don’t talk to me like that! Also, you’re hurting me!” Sharon's expression changed, her wrist feeling uncomfortable. Her face was filled with pain.
Only then did Ethan let go of her, but he shielded the intern in front of him. He obviously wouldn’t let Sharon attack again!
“Thank you, Sir!” The intern bowed to him gratefully.
“Go back to work. If you have any problems, tell Miss Miller directly when she returns. I'll take care of things here!” Ethan gestured for the intern to go back to work.
“Ethan, how come you’re helping her but not me? Are you still angry? I know I was wrong, so can’t we start over again?” Sharon suddenly grabbed his arm, her face full of persuasion.
Ethan reminded coldly, “Let go! I just did what a normal man should do. Besides, we have no relationship anymore. Mind where you are and keep your distance!”
He didn't expect her to become like this now, deeply disappointed in her.
Moreover, he already chose Chloe, so why would he give this woman another chance?
She no longer deserved it!
“No, I won't! I know you're still angry with me. Believe me, I really know my mistakes, and I know you still have feelings for me! Let's start over, okay? I promise I’ll listen to you in the future; I won't treat you like before!”
After finally getting a chance to get close to Ethan, Sharon hasn’t even started her revenge plan yet. How could she give up so easily?
She seemed to think he still had feelings for her. After all, his feelings for her in the past couldn't have been fake!
As she spoke, she hugged his arm even tighter, almost leaning her whole body against him.
Having just returned from outside, Chloe saw this clearly. She stood there, stunned on the spot!
“Don’t you understand when I tell you to let go? You and I are impossible. It was you who wanted a divorce, so don't regret it. I also won’t regret, since I already have someone else now. Just give up!” Ethan didn't expect Sharon to react like this.
This audacious woman made him push her away in disgust.
“You pushed me? You never treated me this way!” she was even more provoked by his rough action, her face filled with disbelief.
“Things have changed. Now, I only find you repulsive. I advise you to leave this place, because you aren’t welcome here!” Ethan snorted coldly, then turned his head and saw Chloe standing not far away.
“Chloe, you're back!” he immediately stepped forward, feeling surprised in his heart.
Chloe looked visibly thinner than before he went to Seattle, looking quite exhausted.
After being separated for a few days, how did this girl lose so much weight? He felt his heart ache.
Chloe forced a smile, her tone carrying a hint of reproach, “When did you come back? Why didn't you tell me? I would’ve picked you up at the airport!”
“I wanted to surprise you. Anyway, you look exhausted. What happened?” he looked at her with concern, pulling her hands into his.
All the employees were surprised to see this!
Previously, they were all amazed to see Ethan scold Sharon. At the same time, they were speculating about his identity. When they found out he was actually Sharon's ex-husband, they began to gossip among themselves.
Evidently, Sharon wasn’t popular in the company. Ethan’s attitude toward her made everyone tremble.
However, nobody expected him to be so intimate with Chloe. They seemed like a couple!
On the other hand, Sharon's eyes widened as her anger was about to burst out.
She suspected these two had something going on, but seeing it with her own eyes made her feel like someone stole her toy. How could she not be furious?
Chloe shook her head, clearly brushing it off, “It's nothing. Maybe I've been busy lately and got a bit tired!”
Seeing that she didn't want to talk about it, Ethan wondered if it was because of Sharon.
He immediately pointed to Sharon and asked Chloe, “By the way, I wanted to ask you. Why is she in your office?”
“You rejected me because of her? Are you two a thing now?” Sharon rushed over just then, glaring angrily at Ethan.
“Why should I explain anything to you? However, you’re correct; I’m with Chloe now. Therefore, I advise you to leave me alone!” he didn’t expect Sharon to still have the audacity to question him, making him laugh at her anger.
Didn’t she have any self-awareness?
Chloe helplessly persuaded Ethan, “Please calm down, let's talk properly. This isn’t the place to discuss such things, so let's go to my office.”
After all, Sharon was his ex-wife. She didn’t want their relationship to deteriorate to the point of becoming enemies.
That was also why Chloe had Sharon stay, hoping they could clarify things and remove any regrets and misunderstandings.
“Did you let her work in your company because of me?”
Ethan quickly understood Chloe's thoughts. This understanding and considerate girl not only moved him, but also made him feel guiltier.
“Do you think I care about this company? Ethan, you ungrateful man! Did you forget who fed you when you were at your lowest? Despite that, you’re treating me like this?” Sharon was furious, pointing at his nose as she angrily yelled.
Hearing this, the employees looked at each other, their eyes on Ethan turning strange. They clearly misunderstood Sharon's words!
“I’ve long paid what I owe you. Everything that led to today were entirely over your own choices,” Ethan was unmoved. He didn’t think he owed Sharon anything anymore.
