Chapter 394 I'm Serious
This time was different, and Angela could feel the super energy Ethan injected into her was way stronger!
Angela looked at Ethan, surprised. He had his eyes closed, sweat on his forehead, and his face was getting paler.
"You okay? You look like you're in pain," Angela asked, worried. Last time, he seemed so relaxed doing this!
Ethan didn't answer but pulled his hand back, looking a bit relieved.
"I'm serious about this. Since you're my apprentice, I have to teach and take care of you," Ethan said, sitting back down and catching his breath.
"What do you mean?" Angela asked, confused.
"The super energy I gave you before was just a taste. It couldn't stay in your body long. This time, I used a tough method to convert and transfer the energy so it can last. With this, you can cultivate your own super energy quickly," Ethan explained.
"How long will it last?" Angela asked, excited.
"It'll last indefinitely, but it can't regenerate. Once it's used up, it's gone. Use it wisely, whether for training or fighting. It could save your life," Ethan warned.
"Are you serious?" Angela hadn't expected Ethan to go to such lengths for her. She could see he wasn't in good shape.
"Of course, I'm serious. I wouldn't harm myself for a joke. Just don't give me a hard time in the future," Ethan said, standing up.
"Ethan, where are you going?" Angela asked.
Despite her earlier prejudice, his actions made her rethink.
"I need to get back to my girlfriend so she doesn't worry. I'll contact you tomorrow using Wade's number. We'll figure out how to get the hard drive back. You can stay here to practice or go back, your choice," Ethan said calmly.
"You mean Alice?" Angela asked, frowning.
"Don't you know how many girlfriends I have?" Ethan chuckled and walked away.
For some reason, Angela felt uncomfortable and realized Ethan might not be so bad.
'I didn't even ask him for martial arts techniques. Do I have to practice that one move?' Angela thought as Ethan disappeared from sight.
She had super energy but no techniques, just the starting move of a palm technique!
'Forget it. I'll ask him tomorrow,' Angela thought, not too disappointed. She quickly started feeling the super energy flowing through her body.
Ethan took a cab back to Eric's estate.
Eric and Alice were still chatting in the living room, clearly about Ethan.
Seeing him return safely, Alice jumped up and hugged him. "Are you okay?" she asked, concerned.
"If you hadn't come back, Alice would have sent people to look for you!" Eric said, standing up.
"I'm fine. As a Half-Step Grandmaster, not many can hurt me, especially here," Ethan said confidently.
"Did you see her?" Alice asked suddenly.
"Yeah, Angela was almost captured," Ethan nodded, not hiding anything.
"How's your task going?" Alice continued.
"There was a hiccup, but it'll be resolved soon. I need to rest tonight and go out again tomorrow. Can you arrange a room for me?" Ethan said, wanting a quiet place to recover his lost super energy.
Luckily, he still had the bottle with Asura Bloodhand. Despite being drained, one night with it would restore him to peak condition.
"Use my room!" Alice said, pulling him upstairs before he or Eric could object.
Alice's room was like a princess's, all pink, much like Chloe's in Everglow City, though the decor was a bit different. Girls seemed to love pink.
Alice, like a gentle wife, helped Ethan undress. He wanted to refuse but couldn't find the words. He managed to keep his underwear on, avoiding any "beastly" actions.
Alice ran a bath for him. He couldn't refuse and soaked comfortably in the hot water.
This was Ethan's first bath since becoming a Half-Step Grandmaster. His body was so clean he didn't need to bathe, just change clothes occasionally.
At the master level, one could go long periods without eating and not feel hungry. Eating was just for tasting food. Ethan wondered if reaching the master level meant no need to excrete either. The higher the level, the simpler life became!
As Ethan enjoyed his rare bath, the bathroom door opened, and Alice, wearing a thin pink veil, walked in.
"What are you doing here?" Ethan felt a surge of heat, seeing Alice almost naked.
"Helping you scrub your back! Let me join you!" Alice said, removing her last piece of clothing and stepping into the tub.
An hour later, Alice was sound asleep on the bed. Ethan couldn't remember how they moved from the tub to the bed, only that the lovemaking was unforgettable.
Taking advantage of Alice's sleep, he quickly took out the bottle and began to recover the super energy he had lost.
