Chapter 631 Training Shane
"Finally, you're not as dumb as you look. Shane's gonna take you out himself!"
Ethan stared at Dirk, looking totally unfazed.
"You're really gonna let him kill me? I'm just an early-stage master!"
Dirk was taken aback.
"Ethan, I don't think I can beat him!"
Shane's sudden outburst made Ethan's face darken with anger.
"Don't forget, you're my disciple now! Dirk's just a top master. I'm at the early master stage too, but I just took down a top grandmaster!"
Ethan smacked Shane on the head and glared at him.
"Got it!"
Shane shivered but thought to himself, "Do you think everyone is as freakish as you? An early-stage master fighting several levels above!"
"Ethan, did you say you just took down a top grandmaster?"
Shane's eyes widened.
"That's not important. What's important is that I want you to personally kill your greatest enemy and avenge your former sect. Do you have the confidence?"
Ethan rubbed his nose, feeling a bit guilty. He hadn't really taken down Kirk; it was just a puppet, and even that was done through trickery.
"Yes!"
Shane felt a chill under Ethan's gaze and nodded reluctantly.
Patricia and Deborah watched the scene unfold, exchanging puzzled glances.
Was Ethan really planning to let Shane kill Dirk?
Could Shane really be a match for Dirk?
Ethan was a super freak, so maybe his disciple was equally freakish.
If Shane knew what Patricia and Deborah were thinking, he would definitely cry out because after Ethan took him as a disciple, he hadn't taught him anything!
"Dirk!"
At that moment, Davide and Alessandro rushed up the mountain. Seeing Dirk unharmed, they breathed a sigh of relief and scanned the scene warily.
Seeing Davide and Alessandro, Dirk's tense nerves relaxed a bit. At least he wasn't fighting alone now!
"Ethan?"
Davide recognized Ethan and looked surprised.
"He's the one who broke into Vast Mountain that night and rescued those ordinary people!"
Alessandro also recognized Ethan.
"Long time no see!"
Ethan greeted them with a smile, as if they were friends rather than enemies.
"Dirk, what's going on? Why did the Magic Circle suddenly break? And that person over there..."
Davide approached Dirk and asked quietly, thinking Kenneth behind Dirk was his backup.
"Shut up, they're all Ethan's people!"
Dirk's face darkened even more as he warned Davide in a low voice.
Dirk was speechless.
"Dirk, the people from the other sects are rushing up too. We can't hold them off!"
Alessandro swallowed hard, sensing the situation was spiraling out of control.
"Forget those useless people. These guys are the key right now!"
Dirk couldn't care less about the other hidden sects. Just dealing with Ethan was enough to give him a headache!
"Dirk, where's Moonhowl? Didn't you get it?"
Davide eyed the small white wolf next to Ethan suspiciously and asked Dirk.
"Alright, Dirk, let's cut to the chase!"
Before Dirk could respond, Ethan impatiently interrupted.
Dirk sighed in relief. He had no idea how to explain Moonhowl to Davide.
Should he tell him that the little white wolf beside Ethan was Moonhowl and had already chosen Ethan as its master?
If he did, Davide and Alessandro would probably ditch him and run!
"What do you want?"
Dirk asked Ethan, his face grim.
"It's simple. Shane wants revenge, and as his master, I gotta help him out. Let's set up a ring right here. Each of you three gets a shot at him. If you beat him, I promise I won't bother you anymore!"
Ethan smiled at Dirk, laying out his plan.
"You mean, Shane will fight the three of us one after another?"
Dirk asked, looking puzzled.
Shane was completely floored!
Ethan was setting him up for failure!
The three in front of him, even the weakest, were mid-stage masters. Davide, though also mid-stage, was a sword cultivator and could match late-stage combat power. And Dirk was a top master!
How could he possibly fight all three of them in a row?
Shane, on the verge of tears, looked pitifully at Ethan, hoping he'd change his mind.
"If you don't even have the guts for this, then you shouldn't be my disciple!"
Ethan glared at Shane, clearly intending to toughen him up.
"That's right. You three can fight Shane one by one. If you win, you can leave, and I won't stop you. As for the other hidden sects, I don't care."
Ethan turned to Dirk and nodded calmly.
"Alright!"
Dirk was thrilled. Although he didn't know where Ethan's confidence came from, he believed that an early-stage master couldn't possibly win against the three of them. The difference in strength was too great, and even if they just wore him down, it would be enough!
"No one else is allowed to interfere!"
Dirk reminded Ethan, still uneasy.
"Don't worry, we'll just watch and won't interfere!"
Ethan promised confidently.
Dirk breathed a sigh of relief, feeling a glimmer of hope for escape.
At that moment, disciples from the ML Guild and various hidden sects swarmed up the mountain.
"Isn't he the one we met outside Stardale?"
Lawrence and the others, who once wanted Ethan to join their team, immediately recognized him.
"What happened here?"
Terry looked at the standoff between Dirk and Ethan, frowning in confusion.
"Didn't they say there was a great treasure on Vast Mountain? Where is it?"
More people were concerned about whether there was any rare treasure on the mountaintop.
"Everyone, the treasure has already been taken by Ethan. If you want it, go find him!"
Dirk, thinking quickly, pointed at Ethan and shouted to the crowd.
Everyone immediately focused their attention on Ethan.
