Chapter 356 The Wilsons Also Arrived
Francis finished talking and just ignored Dorian, leaving him to deal with things on his own.
Right then, the five Celestia Vale deacons who went to capture Asura Bloodhand came back, but they didn't have him.
"How'd it go?" Raymond asked them.
"We got the demon and sealed him in this bottle," said a tall, thin elder, showing a plain purple bottle with a smile.
"Hand it over," Francis demanded, reaching out to the elder.
"What's your deal, Francis?" The elder quickly put the bottle away and glared at him.
"He's useful to Ethan. Relax, I don't want your bottle," Francis said calmly.
The elder looked like he was about to lose it, but Raymond's sudden laughter cut him off.
"Todd, just give it to him. Think of it as a favor to the head of the ZF Guild. Francis won't take your bottle," Raymond said gently.
Todd Bailey looked conflicted but eventually handed the bottle to Francis.
"Make sure I get it back soon," Todd said, still uneasy.
Francis pocketed the bottle, glanced at Ethan, who was still lightly sleeping in mid-air, and muttered, "The timing's about right. By nightfall, Tiger Mount will reopen."
Everyone around got excited!
For most, places like Tiger Mount or Divine Sea were out of reach. Even if Divine Sea led to the divine realm, one needed to be at least a grandmaster to have a shot; otherwise, it was a death sentence. So, most were just here to watch with a bit of hope!
Seeing Francis ignore him, Dorian turned away.
He wasn't trying to escape, just didn't want to stick around and look foolish.
He knew he couldn't run, and trying might drag the whole Ashford family down!
He wondered if even killing Ethan at the engagement party would've made things different today.
Even if Ethan was weak, he was still the head of the ZF Guild. Not to mention legends like Arthur, even a grandmaster like Francis wouldn't let him go!
Dorian had endured for years, only to realize he'd just bought some extra time!
The more he thought about it, the more helpless he felt. He needed to plan for the Ashford family's future!
"Dorian, why are you here? What's going on up there?" As he reached the foot of the mountain, Dorian ran into a group heading up.
Elmer, Dashiell, Zephyr, and Logan were all there.
Leading them was Brady, the only master-level expert in the Wilson family besides Elmer!
Dorian glanced at them and walked away without a word, leaving Brady and the others confused!
After all, the Ashford and Wilson families were still allies!
"What's up with Dorian? He's clearly not respecting you!" Logan shouted as he watched Dorian leave.
Normally, Logan wouldn't dare speak up in front of Dorian, but today he felt bold with Brady and Elmer around.
Normally, if Logan talked like that, Dorian would've killed him. But now, he just disappeared like he didn't hear a thing.
This made Brady's face turn serious.
"Shut up before you get us all in trouble," Zephyr warned coldly.
"I'll say what I want. You've joined Celestia Vale, so why aren't you reporting in? Why are you tagging along to Everglow City? You're the unnecessary one!" Logan shot back.
"My master's here, so I have to follow. I don't need your permission," Zephyr replied coolly.
Brady ignored their bickering and asked a nearby warrior what had happened on the mountain.
After hearing the story, everyone from the Wilson family was shocked!
"Brady, looks like you messed up," Elmer smirked.
"Not necessarily. Jessie's on the mountain. Let's find her and see what's up. Announce that Ethan will be the sole heir of the Wilson family," Brady said after thinking for a while.
Zephyr looked grim, and Logan was stunned.
Brady didn't even look at Logan and led the group up the mountain.
His only hope now was Jessie. If he could convince her, there might still be a chance!
"What are you standing there for? Everyone's gone!" Zephyr snapped at Logan, then chased after the Wilsons.
"Ethan, that useless guy, is becoming the sole heir again. What about me?" Logan finally reacted, feeling drained and collapsing to the ground.
When Brady and his group reached the top, it caused a stir.
The Miller and Harris families didn't like the Wilsons, and the tension was thick.
But with Jessie among the Miller and Harris families, Brady and his group had to interact with them to find her.
Luckily, both sides kept it cool, just exchanging cold looks without any conflict.
Soon, they saw Jessie, who looked cold and indifferent.
"Why are you looking for me? Didn't you expel Ethan from the Wilson family? We should have no ties, right?" Jessie asked slowly.
Brady looked embarrassed. As the Wilson family leader, no one talked to him like this.
"Jessie, you've been wronged all these years! We didn't know you were with the Ashford family; otherwise, we would've rescued you!" Brady said helplessly.
"Really? Should I thank you? But I heard Ethan was expelled and hunted by the Shadow Gang multiple times?" Jessie asked angrily.
Brady was speechless, and the atmosphere got awkward.
