Ethan's expression turned peculiar immediately. "How long have you been at the half-step master level?"
"The rule of the Magister is that only after reaching the half-step master level can one leave the order to seek breakthroughs. I have yet to find an opportunity for a breakthrough!" Gino explained with a bitter smile.
"No wonder Jerome, despite his age, is still in Emerald Valley with the Magister. I thought it was because he was particularly filial!" Ethan suddenly realized and immediately understood why five out of Magister's nine disciples had already left him!
Ethan thought, 'So, does that mean Magister has five disciples at the half-step master level?'
For a moment, Ethan's mind conjured up an image of five Ginos lined up behind him, sweeping through everyone below the master level in the Ashford family. He thought that scene would be quite impressive!
"Jerome has a gentle nature, so his progress is somewhat slower!" Gino, hearing this, could only bow his head awkwardly and defend Jerome.

It seemed the heart-protecting capsule's effects were kicking in, as Ethan now appeared almost normal. With his rapid recovery, after a brief rest, he stood up directly from the sofa.
"This is what I should do. Even if I hadn't intervened, I believe you wouldn't have easily fallen to Ignatius. Are you planning to leave now?" Gino quickly stepped forward to inquire.
"Our relationship shouldn't be exposed right now. Staying here too long might arouse suspicion. After taking your heart-protecting pill, I'm basically fine. Besides, we really need to head back immediately!" Ethan casually explained. He pondered, 'If I didn't return soon to reassure Carlos, he might actually confront the Ashford family over Isolde!'
"Alright then, here's my number. If you need anything, feel free to contact me anytime!" Gino didn't insist and handed Ethan his business card.
Ethan accepted the card with a nod and, under Gino's escort, left Midnight Oasis with Sarah.
"I never expected Gino to run such a large Midnight Oasis in Everglow City!" Sarah was still amazed by Gino's identity even after getting into the car.
"Magister wants them to experience the world and find opportunities to break through to the master level. Running Midnight Oasis isn't inappropriate. But to run such a large Midnight Oasis in Everglow City, Gino's original identity must be quite extraordinary!" Ethan reminded with a smile as he started the car.
Was it Extraordinary? Of course.
Gino was from the Salvador family, and the elder brother of Caspar. How could such an identity be simple?
In fact, Gino and the Ashford family should be considered one family, and Kenny was his nephew!
However, Ethan didn't know any of this for now, and even the Ashford family, except for Caspar, was unaware.
"Are you really okay now? You were seriously injured just now. You should rest first when we get back!" Sarah, recalling Ethan's injuries, couldn't help but express her concern.
"Did you forget I'm a doctor? These minor injuries are nothing. Let's go see Carlos first!" Ethan shook his head, indicating he was fine.
When Ethan and Sarah returned to the Harris family, everything seemed calm. Carlos and Clarence were still in the study, drinking coffee, and only Orion was in the courtyard. Seeing the two return, he quickly came forward to greet them.
"Is Ethan alright?"
Clearly, the Harris family was already aware of everything that had happened at Midnight Oasis.
"I am fine. Let's go check on Carlos first!" Ethan smiled and shook his head. He thought 'it is rare for Carlos and Clarence to remain so composed. They hadn't even called once.'
Seeing Ethan return unharmed, Carlos and Clarence exchanged a glance, both visibly relieved. It was clear that their inner turmoil was far greater than their calm exteriors suggested.
"Ethan, I heard you were injured?" Clarence asked with a furrowed brow.
"It's nothing. Ignatius may have some skills, but I bet he's more injured than I am!" Ethan confidently shook his head.
"That's good! Now, can you tell us what exactly happened with Isolde?" Clarence directly asked the question that Carlos wanted to ask.
"Isn't it obvious? The Ashford family allowed their apprentices to commit violence, injuring Isolde in public, causing her to fall into a coma and be in a life-threatening condition. I think the Harris family should demand an explanation from the Ashford family right now!" Ethan said seriously, leaving the two elders looking at each other in surprise.
"We're asking if Isolde will be alright," Carlos couldn't hold back and asked irritably.
"Carlos, have you forgotten my medical skills? As long as we get the justice we deserve, I guarantee Isolde will be fine. At most, she'll need to stay in bed for a few days." Ethan smiled and assured them, knowing that if he didn't explain, Carlos might really lose his temper.
Hearing this, Carlos finally breathed a sigh of relief, clearly most concerned about Isolde's safety.
"Ethan is right. The Ashford family must give us an explanation for tonight's events!" Clarence nodded in agreement.
"I won't go. Tomorrow, you go on my behalf and talk to Dorian personally," Carlos said, feeling relieved after knowing his granddaughter would be fine. He certainly wouldn't miss the chance to teach the Ashford family a lesson!
This would also be a way to seek justice for Isolde. Since Ethan had already provided them with an excuse, there was no reason not to act on it.
Even though Isolde had to endure some grievances and stay in bed for a few days, she would likely be happy if it meant the Ashford family paid a price.
"If there's nothing else, we'll head back to rest," Ethan said, preparing to leave.
"Wait, what's your relationship with that Gino? Did he help you tonight?" Carlos suddenly called out to Ethan, looking curious.
"What relationship could I have with him? He's just one of my classmate's student! Remember to keep it a secret!" Ethan casually explained and then left the study with Sarah.
Ethan thought, 'There was no need to hide Gino's identity from Carlos. It was something they would find out sooner or later. Why create unnecessary mystery? Not saying anything now would only increase the distance between them and wouldn't achieve any secrecy. After tonight's events, Gino would definitely come under the Ashford family's radar. His relationship with me would eventually be exposed, so there was no need to hide it deliberately.'
That night, Ethan and Sarah didn't go back to the hotel but stayed at the Harris family.
The Harris family's apprentices didn't bother Ethan and Sarah anymore. Firstly, they didn't have the guts, and secondly, they had all heard about Ethan standing up for Isolde at Midnight Oasis, so they tacitly accepted him as one of their own.
Unlike the calm on Ethan's side, the Ashford family was thrown into chaos due to Ignatius's failure.
