Chapter 588 Taking a Grandmaster as a Servant
"Just 'cause I can't go doesn't mean no one can help you. Remember, we've got a grandmaster here," Francis suddenly reminded Ethan.
Ethan's heart skipped a beat. 'Oh yeah, there's a grandmaster hiding out in Tiger Mount. But the problem is, Asura Bloodhand used to be my enemy, and now his powers are sealed, so he can't really do much.'
"If I go out but can't make a move, I might scare the leader of the ML Guild, but they could just run away. If he goes, there's no need to worry; he can take him out if needed," Francis said, looking pretty grim.
Seeing Francis so full of killing intent was rare, and Ethan was momentarily stunned. He'd been wondering why Francis was so calm after hearing that Phoenix got ambushed and seriously injured. It turned out that he was waiting for this moment.
"I'd love to just take him out, but the problem is, can I control Asura Bloodhand? Are you planning to lift his seal?" Ethan asked with a bitter smile.
"I found a way to sign a servant contract in the ancient books of the SA Guild. Once you sign this magical contract with him, he won't have any rebellious thoughts. If he does, the contract will immediately backfire," Francis said, tossing an ancient book to Ethan.
Ethan's eyes lit up. He didn't expect such a good method to be in the ancient book of the SA Guild!
Francis continued, "Once the contract is signed, if the servant has rebellious thoughts, the contract will backfire, devouring his soul and turning him into a puppet, still under the master's control!"
This method was so intense, not only the soul but even the body would completely belong to the master. Such a contract was terrifying!
"Will he agree?" After the initial excitement, Ethan calmed down. Asura Bloodhand was a grandmaster; Ethan wasn't sure if he'd willingly become his servant and risk his life for him.
"Why don't you ask him yourself?" Francis didn't answer but pointed to the distant void. Soon, Asura Bloodhand flew rapidly from that direction and landed in front of Ethan and Francis in no time.
"Francis, I was studying ancient books. Why did you suddenly call me?" Asura Bloodhand asked respectfully.
"Do you want to leave here and restore your grandmaster powers?" Francis asked calmly.
"Of course I do. But if you're saying this, there must be conditions, right?" Asura Bloodhand asked, curious but understanding the situation.
"You were supposed to die, but considering you might still be useful, you've been allowed to live until now. If you want to leave Tiger Mount and restore your grandmaster powers, it's possible, but you must sign a contract with Ethan," Francis explained straightforwardly.
"A contract?" Asura Bloodhand frowned.
Ethan didn't say a word, just tossed the ancient book copy to him.
After a quick glance, Asura Bloodhand hesitated. Signing an eternal servant contract with Ethan meant he'd be Ethan's servant for life unless Ethan decided to lift the contract. No rebellious thoughts allowed.
As a grandmaster, becoming a servant to someone at the initial master level was a tough pill to swallow. But after a moment of hesitation, Asura Bloodhand agreed. Even Francis was a bit surprised at how quickly he caved.
"Do you really agree to be my servant?" Ethan was shocked by Asura Bloodhand's quick decision. He thought the guy would at least try to negotiate, maybe ask to be freed after a few years, but nope, he agreed just like that.
"Honestly, I don't want to, but do I have any other choice now?" Asura Bloodhand shook his head and smiled bitterly.
"You're sensible. I promise you, if you work for me diligently for three years, I'll lift the contract and give you your freedom." Ethan smiled, not minding giving Asura Bloodhand a glimmer of hope.
"Really?" Asura Bloodhand's eyes lit up.
"Of course. My word is my bond," Ethan assured seriously.
Asura Bloodhand immediately thanked Ethan.
"You're straightforward. Now, relax your mind." Ethan grinned, then bit his finger, letting a drop of blood, wrapped in super energy, shoot towards Asura Bloodhand's forehead.
Asura Bloodhand closed his eyes and relaxed his mind, waiting for Ethan to complete the contract steps according to the ancient book.
After about ten minutes, Ethan smiled and said, "The title Asura Bloodhand doesn't suit you anymore. Let's use your real name, Kennet. It sounds more normal."
"I understand," Kennet felt a sudden surge of consciousness in his body and responded more respectfully. He had no doubt that if he had any rebellious thoughts, this power would completely devour his soul.
"I'll now lift the seal on you and restore your grandmaster powers." Francis nodded in satisfaction, then began to lift the seal, sending one incantation after another into Kennet's body.
At the same time, Kennet's power kept rising. It stopped only when he returned to his original grandmaster level.
"I'm a grandmaster again!" Kennet felt the long-lost power in his body and got excited.
"Remember, if you have any rebellious thoughts, no matter how strong you are, Ethan can kill you with a single thought," Francis reminded seriously.
"Don't worry. I will assist Ethan wholeheartedly and dare not have any other thoughts," Kennet's heart tightened, knowing Francis was warning him, and he quickly agreed.
