Chapter 494 The Overall Situation Was Settled

Just when the atmosphere was tense and both sides were on the verge of clashing, Ethan burst into laughter.

Everyone looked puzzled, either glancing at each other or casting surprised looks at Ethan.

"He's right. The Wilson family matters should be resolved by the Wilson family members themselves. I mean, as the head of the Ashford family, weren't you always composed when we were at odds? Why are you so impulsive now?" Ethan patted Dorian on the shoulder, smiling as he reminded him.

Dorian rolled his eyes several times, feeling speechless.

The others found it strange to see Ethan lecturing Dorian face-to-face, not knowing since when the head of the Ashford family, a master-level expert, became so good-tempered.

"Consider it my meddling." Dorian turned back to his seat with a sullen face, seemingly in a bit of a mood.

Clarence and Munro exchanged glances and then retreated under Ethan's gaze.

"I won't interfere with your family matters either," Phoenix said, walking away, leaving only the Wilson family members on the scene.

"What do you mean by this?" Brady stared at Ethan in surprise, genuinely unable to understand his intentions.

"I just don't want to complicate simple matters." Ethan slowly shook his head, then loudly said to Micah and the others, "You should all remember what I said in the hall yesterday. The three-day deadline I mentioned is still in effect."

Hearing this, the heads of the branch families supporting Brady showed hesitation, exchanging glances.

Brady's face turned ashen. He knew what Ethan was up to; he wanted to eliminate all of Brady's support bit by bit.

It was clear to everyone that Ethan had the upper hand. At least one thing was certain: Ethan was now invincible.

Even facing Brady, Ethan remained powerful. Everyone could notice that Ethan's position as the head of the family was solidified. Now that he had taken the seat, it was almost impossible to remove him unless he voluntarily stepped down.

At this moment, someone from Micah's branch family mustered the courage to ask, "Are you serious? What if you come after us later?"

"Loren Wilson, whose side are you on? If you dare to be a traitor, I'll be the first to..." Micah was furious. He was already tied to Brady and didn't believe Ethan would let him off easily. He had no choice but to stick with Brady.

However, before he could finish his threat, his voice abruptly stopped. Three silver needles suddenly appeared on his body, one in his throat and the other two in his chest and abdomen.

Micah froze like a statue, unable to make a sound or move, his eyes wide with terror.

"I found you annoying in the hall yesterday. Do you really think you're someone important? In front of me, who do you think you can hit? How about I hit you first?" Ethan said coldly, clearly treating Brady as if he were invisible.

If Brady had wanted to stop Ethan, saving Micah would have been effortless. After all, as a late-stage master-level expert, he could have easily countered Ethan's attack. But he held back.

No one expected Ethan to act so quickly and decisively, rendering Micah useless and leaving everyone in shock.

The branch family members were even more shaken, their eyes involuntarily turning to the grim-faced Brady.

"I thought you would make a move," Ethan said to Brady with a smile.

"A bunch of useless people, not worth my effort," Brady said in a low, dismissive tone.

This caused an uproar among Micah's branch family members. No one expected Brady to belittle them so publicly. It seemed he didn't care about their choices.

Especially Micah, who, despite being unable to move or speak, was cursing Brady internally. He realized he had been abandoned by Brady, discarded like trash.

After the anger, Micah was left with boundless fear. Even Brady had given up on him. He had no support now.

"Let's go." Taking a deep breath, Brady told the elders and turned to leave for his courtyard. The elders didn't dare stay any longer and quickly disappeared into the crowd.

"Are you just going to let him go?" Elmer asked Ethan in a puzzled tone.

Ethan, who had remained calm throughout, smiled and shook his head. "It doesn't matter. Now is not the time to settle the final score with him. There's still something I need to figure out."

Elmer fell silent, understanding what Ethan was thinking.

"We support Ethan. We support Ethan!"

"I'll have the stock transfer contract prepared immediately. I support Ethan too."

"Count me in."

Brady's sudden departure left the Wilson family members in a panic, losing their last support. In their anxiety, they quickly declared their allegiance to Ethan. In no time, everyone around Micah had left, leaving him standing alone.

Micah didn't want to stand there alone, but he couldn't move.

"So, have you made your choice now?" Ethan smiled as he walked up to Micah, pulling out the silver needles from his body.

Micah collapsed to the ground, kneeling at Ethan's feet. "I support you."

Micah didn't even know how he managed to say those words, his voice trembling so much that he could barely hear himself. His instincts told him that Ethan could kill him effortlessly.

"Good, you've finally made a right choice." Ethan nodded in satisfaction, then turned to the branch family members and said loudly, "What I said in the hall still stands. Complete the stock acquisition plan within three days, and I will let bygones be bygones. Each of your families will receive 20% of the group's annual dividends."

The branch family members were overjoyed, expressing their allegiance to Ethan with great excitement.

"That was a brilliant move. Brady is truly defeated this time. He must be regretting it now, right?" Dorian sighed as he watched Ethan being supported by all the branch families.

"Brady just underestimated Ethan's power," Clarence remarked calmly.
