Chapter 396 Exercise

Not long after, Angela noticed something was off. Two cars behind them were keeping a steady distance, tailing them.

"We're being followed!" Angela frowned.

"Yeah, I know. They've been on us for five minutes. That guy's quick; he found us fast!" Ethan chuckled.

"So, what's the plan? We don't have weapons. If they have guns, we're in trouble!" Angela said seriously.

"Getting a gun is easy! If they have one, we'll take it! Besides, I don't use guns; they're too much hassle!" Ethan laughed it off.

"What if someone points a gun at you? Can you outrun a bullet?" Angela asked, frowning.

"Do you know what a Half-Step Grandmaster is? No one would be dumb enough to use a gun against one. They would be dead before they got a chance to shoot!" Ethan said confidently.

Ethan was actually being modest. If he wanted, they wouldn't even see him!

"Do you know what this is?" Ethan asked, pulling out a silver needle while driving with one hand.

"Isn't that your silver needle? Did you bring it from home?" Angela's eyes widened.

"I have my ways of getting things through security. If you wanted a gun, you could've asked me! But this silver needle is more useful to me than a gun!" Ethan explained.

"Do you use it as a hidden weapon?" Angela imagined scenes from movies with poison needles and her heart skipped a beat.

"Exactly. By infusing super energy into the needle, its speed rivals a bullet, and its accuracy and power are even better!" Ethan said, shooting the needle at a small sapling by the road.

Angela turned and saw the sapling break in half, the top part falling to the ground!

She was amazed, not by Ethan's speed and accuracy, but by the power of the small needle. Cutting a sapling as thick as an arm in half with a needle was incredible!

It seemed even more impressive than when Ethan had punched through a large tree before!

One was close-range, the other long-range; the difference in difficulty and effect was clear!

"So, do you want to learn?" Ethan asked, seeing Angela's astonished look.

"Would you teach me?" Angela's eyes lit up.

"I'm serious about taking you as my apprentice. If you want to learn, I'll teach you." Ethan nodded.

"You have to teach me later! If I can do this, I won't need a gun for missions; it'll be so much more convenient!" Angela nodded enthusiastically.

"If that's the case, show me your commitment." Ethan winked at Angela.

Angela rolled her eyes, hesitated, then reluctantly pouted, "Ethan, please!"

"I'm sorry, I can't hear you!" Ethan shook his head, clearly dissatisfied.

"Ethan, please teach me, will you?" Angela raised her voice, annoyed.

"Can't you ask more nicely? How can I teach you if you don't show respect?" Ethan frowned.

Ethan's seriousness caught Angela off guard. She hadn't taken the apprenticeship seriously, but he was!

"Why are you so harsh? If you don't want to teach, forget it!" Angela huffed, turning away, unable to accept treating Ethan as a teacher.

Sure, Ethan had helped her by opening her Sea of Energy and teaching her to use it, but she saw it as mutual help between friends.

Seeing her sulk, Ethan stayed silent. He wanted to use the silver needle to spark her interest and build her character.

He sighed inwardly, 'Being a master isn't easy!'

Ethan wasn't in a rush, thinking Angela would eventually lose patience and compromise.

"They're catching up!" Angela noticed the two cars behind them speeding up.

Ethan accelerated, exiting the highway and driving onto a two-lane rural road.

The two cars behind them kept chasing, trying to overtake, but Ethan blocked them by changing lanes.

Then, two vans of the same model approached quickly from the opposite direction, alerting Angela.

"Hold on tight!" Ethan smiled and made a sharp turn onto a side road.

The cars behind couldn't react in time, overshot the intersection, and had to reverse before following.

"Four cars, twenty-five people, quite a show!" Ethan sneered, surprising Angela.

"How do you know how many people are in those cars?" Angela asked.

"I not only know how many people there are, but also that one of the leaders is a woman!" Ethan replied smugly.

Angela frowned but didn't ask more as Ethan suddenly braked and pulled up in an open field.

One side was a country road, the other a dense forest. Was Ethan planning to deal with them here?

The environment was perfect. Even if something happened, it wouldn't be discovered immediately.

Norway wasn't densely populated, and such country roads might not see much traffic in a day.

After parking, Ethan got out and leisurely sat on the hood, waiting for the four vehicles to arrive.

"I know you're strong, but remember, we're in Norway. Don't kill anyone unless necessary!" Angela got out and warned seriously.

"Do I look like a heartless killer to you?" Ethan retorted nonchalantly.

"Who knows? Just don't betray our country or tarnish Vexa's reputation!" Angela huffed, warning him firmly.
