Chapter 293 The Selection Meeting

"I didn't say that. How about we fight? If you win, I'll look up to you!" Zephyr scoffed disdainfully.

"You." Logan was furious but dared not speak out. How could he be a match for Zephyr?

"This time, when you go back, as long as Brady can put in a good word for you, with your talent, it shouldn't be a problem to enter that place as a disciple. Then, you might even surpass Ethan!" Dashiell reminded him earnestly.

"You should know the rules of Celestia Vale for recruiting people. It happens only once every five years, and they select only the top young talent from each family. Even if the Brady wants to help me, it is still difficult!" Zephyr shook his head noncommittally.

"Isn't it said that they choose the strongest below the master level? Now, apart from Elmer and a few others, who among the younger generation of the Wilson Family can compare to you?" Dashiell asked in surprise.

"Don't forget. Ethan is also from the Wilson Family!" Zephyr reminded him calmly.

"Ethan has already been expelled from the Wilson Family; he's no longer one of us!" Dashiell's face changed instantly as he reminded him.

"Perhaps." Zephyr clearly had reservations but did not intend to explain further in front of Dashiell and Logan.

"What are you talking about? Once every five years, is the Celestia Vale Selection Meeting about to be held?" Logan finally realized.

"It has nothing to do with you. I'm leaving now; I'll leave this place to you!" Zephyr glanced at Logan and then turned away.

Logan's face turned extremely sullen at this moment. Dashiell looked at him with disdain, leaving Logan alone in the room. Logan was desperate, thinking, 'This spot should have been mine, but why am I so useless?'

"Will you help Logan?" Zephyr, who had just left, came to the rooftop of the hotel and asked Elmer, who was standing with his back to him.

"Do you want me to help him? If I help him, there might be nothing left for you!" Elmer asked with a smile.

"Even if you want to help him, he might not appreciate it. And helping him means you have to confront Brady!" Zephyr reminded him seriously.

"So?" Elmer asked noncommittally.

"So your best choice should be to help me! Only when I enter that place can I better cooperate with you to achieve your goal!" Zephyr took a deep breath and said.

"Perhaps. Let's go back first; don't keep Brady waiting too long. As for whether to help you or Logan, it's up to you." Elmer turned around, his long, narrow eyes flashing with an inexplicable light under the black mask.

In Nova York, after a busy day, Ethan, Chloe, and Sarah finally returned to the villa.

"Sarah, why didn't Carlos come back this time? Is there something important keeping him in Everglow City?" Sitting on the sofa, chatting with Chloe and Sarah for a while, Ethan suddenly asked curiously.

"Grandpa said there seems to be something important, and he won't be back for a few days." Sarah shook her head, equally puzzled.

"It should be the once-every-five-year selection meeting starting. I heard Grandpa mention it before. The Miller family doesn't practice judo, so this Selection Meeting doesn't have much to do with the Miller family," Chloe explained, clearly knowing more than Sarah.

"Selection Meeting? I think I've heard of it before. It's about selecting disciples." Ethan nodded in realization. Though he didn't say it out loud, he now suspected that this so-called Selection Meeting must be the work of the Celestia Vale.

"What is the Selection Meeting?" Sarah asked curiously.

"Passing the Selection Meeting's assessment allows you to become a reserve talent trained by a mysterious organization, helping them with tasks and eventually joining the organization as a full member. As for the name of this organization, I've heard Grandpa mention it; it's the Celestia Vale we've heard about before!" Chloe continued to explain.

"Every five years, they select the most promising individual from each family to become a disciple. If that's the case, then the Ashford family's best hope should be Ignatius! If he gets this opportunity, both Dorian and Ignatius will become master-level experts, and their strength will surely increase significantly!" Ethan nodded slowly.

"So, does that mean the Wilson Family will also have one?" Sarah asked again.

"That's right. Almost all master-level experts from various families will enter this mysterious organization. The master-level experts from the Wilson Family were likely trained by this organization as well. Although it's not guaranteed that one will emerge every five years, there have been some in recent decades." Ethan nodded gravely.

"If you hadn't been expelled from the Wilson Family, would you have had a chance to participate in this Selection Meeting?" Chloe was clearly feeling sorry for Ethan.

"Why would I participate? Aren't things good enough as it is now?" Ethan shook his head with a smile. He understood that his relationship with Celestia Vale was too complicated, so it might not be a good thing for him to participate in the Selection Meeting. Besides, as the current head of the ZF Guild, why would he need to join Celestia Vale's selection?

"By the way, when I was coming back, I saw a strange man outside the villa area. I don't know where he came from!" Sarah suddenly said.

"Did you see a young monk around twenty years old?" Ethan's heart skipped a beat.

"Could he be the one you and Lyra met that day?" Chloe immediately thought of Jesse.

"Wasn't he in Everglow City? Why did he come to Nova York?" Sarah asked in surprise.

Ethan thought, 'Since Jesse had followed us to Misty Ridge, it isn't surprising for him to appear in Nova York.'

However, to avoid worrying Chloe and Sarah, Ethan didn't say much about Jesse.

"Don't overthink it. It might just be a coincidence. It might not be him!" Ethan casually brushed it off.
