Chapter 354 The Dispute Between Francis and Raymond
Francis showing up caught everyone off guard.
Most warriors didn't know much about Francis, but the masters did. He rarely left Emerald Valley, so his appearance was a shock.
Even among the masters, few knew about Francis and Ethan's connection, making Francis's words even more confusing.
"You finally left Emerald Valley?" Phoenix asked with a smile.
"I figured Ethan woke up early because of you," Francis replied, slightly annoyed.
"If not, how would you have left so easily?" Phoenix laughed.
"What's this about Ethan waking up? Is he in trouble?" Jessie asked, worried.
"Are you his mom?" Francis asked, softening his tone.
"Yes, I'm Jessie, Ethan's mom. Who are you?" Jessie replied, surprised.
"Ethan is the head of the ZF Guild and my friend. I'll explain later, or Ethan will. Waking up means our founder, Arthur, left a divine thought in the Sun and Moon Beads to summon the sect head to break the Tiger Mount seal," Francis explained openly.
The crowd was stunned.
Tiger Mount was legendary, and Arthur was the only one said to have reached the divine realm.
Even after thousands of years, the ZF Guild's legacy lingered, and any warrior knew some rumors about it.
Who would've thought Ethan, seemingly ordinary, was the ZF Guild head and Francis's friend, now tasked with breaking the Tiger Mount seal?
"Does breaking the Tiger Mount seal reopen the divine realm passage?"
"Maybe. Arthur supposedly ascended through Tiger Mount, but the gate closed a thousand years ago, and few have entered since."
"This trip was worth it! If Ethan's the ZF Guild head, Asura Bloodhand can't beat him!"
The chatter resumed. The crowd here was Initially driven by curiosity or greed for the Sun and Moon Beads, but now, the reopening of Tiger Mount became a major event for all warriors.
"You showed up too! Did you say Ethan's communicating with Arthur's divine thought?" Asura Bloodhand, who had been in a light sleep, finally stood up and asked Francis suspiciously.
"I didn't expect to fail stopping you half a month ago, and now you're back at the great master level! If you're smart, leave now; otherwise, when Ethan wakes up, you might not get away," Francis warned with a cold smile.
"I'm not scared. Your words won't make me leave," Asura Bloodhand said, his tone dropping.
"Fine, stay if you want," Francis replied, turning to chat with Clarence instead.
Asura Bloodhand hovered in mid-air, clearly unsure whether to leave.
But soon, he realized he couldn't. The six deacon elders of Celestia Vale had arrived and surrounded him.
"Phoenix, you got here early," the lead elder said, glancing at Phoenix on the mountaintop.
"Raymond!" Phoenix greeted him. This was Master Raymond, one of Celestia Vale's deacon elders.
Raymond's disciple, Jesse, had previously tried to get the Sun and Moon Beads from Ethan.
"Francis, we meet again," Raymond said, turning to Francis.
"Don't get friendly. Saving your disciple's life half a month ago repaid any past kindness," Francis snapped, turning away.
"Francis, don't be ungrateful. Raymond's been good to you! If you hadn't betrayed Celestia Vale, you wouldn't have been stuck in Emerald Valley for over twenty years!" another elder shouted before Raymond could respond.
"Don't bring up the past. If it weren't for you, the Sun and Moon Beads wouldn't have taken twenty years to reunite! Ethan found them, and now you want to take them!" Francis retorted, losing his calm.
"Let's not dwell on the past. With Tiger Mount about to open, we should discuss the Divine Sea," Raymond said seriously.
"The Divine Sea inheritance is for the ZF Guild head, not for you to covet," Francis snapped.
"You misunderstand. We don't want the inheritance. Arthur will choose Ethan, not anyone else. We just need the ascension passage within the Divine Sea," Raymond explained with a bitter smile.
"What do you mean? Think Ethan's easy to fool because he's young? Even as head, he listens to me!" Francis said angrily.
"Stop! Asura Bloodhand, where are you going?" an elder suddenly shouted.
Asura Bloodhand had been trying to sneak away during the argument but was immediately noticed.
