Chapter 169 By Chance

As they approached the main gate of Fragrant Garden, they encountered two cars blocking the road, one of which was an ambulance. A group of people emerged from the building, carrying an elderly man on a stretcher.

"Fragrant Garden is known for its top-notch medical equipment and expert team. Why would they need to transfer a patient to another hospital?" Ethan asked curiously.

Bennit, who was driving, recognized the man on the stretcher as Rodolfo from the Miller family.

"He's reportedly suffering from uremia and other complications. It seems quite serious. They likely had a sudden medical emergency and need to transfer him to the general hospital. Let's wait for them to clear out before we continue," Bennit explained.

Ethan was surprised to hear that Rodolfo was Chloe's grandfather. Coincidentally, he encountered him at Fragrant Garden, but Chloe was nowhere to be seen. As Rodolfo was being loaded into the ambulance, Ethan impulsively got out of the car and ran over to him.

"What are you doing, Ethan?" Bennit's expression suddenly changed. He didn't expect to see Ethan there.

"Saving lives!" Ethan simply responded and rushed to the ambulance.

“Don't take him away just yet. I believe the old man is suffering from acute renal failure due to uremia. It may be too late to transfer him now," Ethan's words left everyone in shock.

"Who are you to interfere? If anything happens to Rodolfo, can you handle the consequences?" The head doctor snapped at Ethan, his expression cold and hostile.

"I can help him. Give me a few minutes, and I can stabilize his condition temporarily," Ethan asserted.

"You're just a kid. How dare you speak so boldly! Guards, take him away and question him!" The doctor's disbelief was evident. If Ethan, a mere child, could save Rodolfo, what did that say about their team of experts?

As several soldiers moved to apprehend Ethan, a stern-faced Bennit intervened.

He couldn't stand idly by, as he had intended to teach Ethan a lesson, but he knew Mr. Grant wouldn't approve. The doctor was taken aback by Bennit's sudden appearance.

"Bennit? Do you know this boy?" he asked, his face filled with confusion. Ignoring the doctor's question, Bennit scolded Ethan and reminded him of Mr. Grant's expectations.

However, Ethan insisted on treating Rodolfo, emphasizing the urgency of the situation.

With Ethan's reputation in Bennit town, the soldiers quickly obeyed his instructions to lay the stretcher on the ground for examination.

Bennit was taken aback by Ethan's bold defiance in front of everyone.

Though furious, he felt powerless. "Bennit, is this young man Mr. Grant's doctor?" The previous doctor cautiously inquired, looking at Bennit.

"He's sort of his doctor now. Since Mr. Grant is under his care, let him continue. If he can't help, there's no point in turning to anyone else!" Bennit explained with resignation.

The doctor, upon hearing this, broke into a cold sweat, his eyes widening in shock. Who else but a renowned expert could treat Mr. Grant's illness? And how could someone as young as Ethan possess such advanced medical skills? Adding to his surprise, Ethan had just dismissed him as a mere boy and even tried to have him apprehended by soldiers.

Luckily, Ethan was preoccupied with Rodolfo at that moment, sparing the doctor any further trouble.

The doctor couldn't help but feel curious and wanted to witness the extraordinary method Ethan had used to revive Rodolfo.

Ethan examined Rodolfo and diagnosed him with acute kidney failure. Knowing how to treat it, Ethan used silver needles to acupuncture three points on Rodolfo's waist. Within minutes, Rodolfo's condition improved significantly.

The doctors were amazed by the sudden recovery of the almost dying man and questioned how Ethan achieved such a miraculous result, defying medical knowledge.
