Chapter 14 Has it really changed?
When Sharon saw this, she sneered and said, "Ethan, do you regret it now that you no longer have a chance with me? Do you feel disappointed? I'll never like parasites like you come near me again in my life! I don't need you at all and I don't need to beg you anymore, so get out from here! I don't want to see your face!"
Gazing at Ethan, Sharon spoke with a tone of contempt.
If she knew it would've been settled this easily, why would she degrade herself and beg someone like Ethan? Sharon pondered in her mind.
When he heard Sharon's harsh remarks, Ethan gave a sour smile. Even though he had put in a lot of work for the Thomas family, she still thought he was a freeloader?
"Sharon, am I really that insufferable for you?"
Sharon crossed her arms and replied coldly while snickering, "Ethan, being such a worthless man, aren't you ashamed to ask me that?"
"Get lost already before I react, Ethan. Since I have matters to settle with Sharon, I don't want to see incompetent people like you coming and ruining the environment."
With a sly smile, Benjamin boldly put his hand on Sharon's shoulder.
Although she shivered, she didn't say no.
When Ethan realized this, he became enraged and glared at Sharon as he asked, "A useless person? Do you not realize that the Thomas family wouldn't have anything without a freeloader like me?"
"What did you say? I had no idea that you were so skilled at bragging, Ethan! Are you implying that you contributed quietly to the Thomas family's current success?" Sharon retorted, making fun of him.
"In any case, do you believe that the Thomas family and Cloud Group's collaboration came out of nowhere?" Ethan answered.
"Didn't that partnership come only after I married into your family?" he said, meeting Sharon's gaze.
Momentarily, Sharon was taken aback. His words seemed to be true. Was that really the truth?
On the other hand, Benjamin mocked and scoffed at Ethan, "Will you stop patting yourself on the back? Sharon is a business genius; everyone in Novaria knows that. Her potential must have been seen by Cloud Group, who then made the decision to work with the Thomas family. What do you have to do with any of that? You really are shameless, to spout such things!"
After hearing that, Sharon concluded that it was true. The Thomas family couldn't have been transformed by the worthless Ethan. Deep down, she didn't want to believe it either!
She looked at Ethan coldly and said, "Ethan, you're such a good liar; you nearly convinced me there. It was right for me to divorce you; Otherwise, you would've fooled the Thomas family by now!"
Ethan let out a sigh. The other party didn't believe him when he spoke the truth, and he couldn't be bothered to prove it to them.
"Come on, Sharon, let's ignore this idiot. I've already scheduled a meeting with Boss Sam to let him know. Cloud Group and the Thomas family will resume their collaboration right away."
Benjamin chuckled and gave Sharon a hug. He was eager for her to embrace him.
She nodded and said, "Then I'll be counting on you, Benjamin."
Afterward, they both ignored Ethan and left.
Ethan sighed as watched them leave. He was aware of Boss Sam's character; It would be difficult to get his assistance. Ethan hesitated for a second before calling Jayden and saying, "Sharon will see Samuel later, Jayden. Kindly tell him not to harm her in any way."
Either way, they used to be a married couple, and he didn't want her to end up in danger.
"All right, Young Master. However, Samuel wants to discuss selling the properties here with you," Jayden stated on the phone.
"Okay," Ethan answered after giving it some thought.
Nobody else was aware of it. It was just a power that Samuel believed in.
He planned to leave now and have a chat with Samuel.
Half an hour later.
Sharon and Benjamin arrived to Spring Villa. In this place, Samuel owned an own tea plantation. The smell of incense filled the entire hall.
Samuel closed his eyes and savored his tea.
He was already 65, yet he had a powerful, muscular frame. He was so naturally intimidating that without any anger, he was commanding respect just by sitting there!
He didn't seem like an old man, save for some creases on his face and a few white hair strands.
"Boss Sam!"
Benjamin entered and spoke politely.
"You've arrived?"
Samuel slightly looked up and saw Sharon standing next to Benjamin, his eyes flickering with a trace of sharpness.
"What is it? Tell me!" he spoke in a low tone.
"Boss Sam, I need your help with something."
With a charming smile, Benjamin quickly explained the situation at hand.
"Oh, I see. So, you want me to get the Thomas family and Cloud Group working together again?"
Samuel gave Sharon a glance.
"Yes, Boss Sam."
Sharon glanced at Samuel, a little scared.
When he heard this, he grinned obscenely at this and replied, "Yeah, that's no problem. However, I won't do it until you sleep with me."
"What?!"
Benjamin and Sharon's expressions shifted at this.
They had no idea Boss Sam would demand this, given his old age.
She could still accept Benjamin. After all, he was still attractive and youthful, at least. Boss Sam, though, was older than her father. She felt nauseous at the very idea of it, and it was impossible for her to agree.
"This isn't possible, Boss Sam. Sharon is my woman..." Benjamin begged swiftly.
"Impossible?"
Samuel cast a spiteful glare at Benjamin, hate shining in his eyes.
Benjamin trembled, afraid to say anything.
"Nobody dares to refuse me the woman I want!" Samuel sneered coldly. "Are you willing to disagree? Or do you oppose in any way?"
His expression deepened as he glared at them, his intimidating aura pressing down and preventing them from turning away.
Benjamin's expression quickly turned pale as he blurted, "No I don't, Boss!"
He came from a second-rate family, so he was nothing to Boss Sam! He had absolutely no courage to disagree with him.
Sharon felt hopeless as she saw Benjamin's look.
