Chapter 577 Ethan's Sarcasm

Patricia heard that and let out this flirty laugh, throwing a sultry look at Ethan.

Ethan felt a shiver run down his spine. Trying not to puke, he turned his head away, not daring to look at her again.

Patricia seemed to have some serious seduction skills, and her gaze was like a spell, making Ethan feel a rush of desire he couldn't control.

"Hand over the Sacred Wood, and you can do whatever you want with me. Deal?" Patricia kept pushing, her voice dripping with allure.

"Cut the crap, or I'll wipe that disgusting smirk off your face!" Ethan snapped, thinking she was totally shameless and testing his patience.

"What did you just say? You called me disgusting?" Patricia's face darkened. Her usually foolproof seduction wasn't working, and she felt humiliated.

"Do you even know how old you are? And you still dare to flaunt yourself in front of young folks," Ethan scoffed, not holding back.

"You're asking for it." Patricia, pissed and humiliated, was about to make a move when Ambrose raised his hand to stop her.

"Hold up. He might be up to something. If we need to act, we should do it together," Ambrose said calmly.

"Easy for you to say. If we all act together, who gets the credit, and who gets the Sacred Wood?" Patricia shot back coldly.

"Yeah, we can't split the Sacred Wood into eight pieces, can we?" someone chimed in.

Everyone was clearly selfish. A treasure like the Sacred Wood was best enjoyed solo.

"I can work with you, but I get to use the Sacred Wood for the first year. After that, it's your problem. I won't object," Seth said slyly.

Hearing this, Patricia and Ambrose frowned, and the others looked at him.

"Seth, who'd believe you? And why should you get it first?" Ambrose snorted.

"How about we fight it out? Winner gets it for a year, then we rotate," Patricia suggested, frowning.

Maybe this was the fairest way, and no one would object. After all, in this world, strength ruled. The strong naturally had the priority.

Even Seth couldn't argue with that, and his face showed uncertainty. He didn't care about the others, but Ambrose and Patricia were tough, and he wasn't sure he could beat them.

Ethan didn't expect these eight to ignore him and start discussing the Sacred Wood's ownership. He touched his nose, looking speechless.

Even though he was only at the early master level, he shouldn't be so disregarded by these late-stage experts. It was super insulting.

"Think you can take me down?" Ethan finally snapped.

"Besides those two defensive trinkets, what else you got? In your state, you probably can't even run," Patricia smirked, eyeing him up and down.

"Who says I don't have more tricks up my sleeve?" Ethan squinted, keeping his cool.

"Oh, I'm dying to see what you got," Patricia's eyes sparkled with curiosity. She didn't believe Ethan could turn the tables, not with eight late-stage masters around.

"Then watch this," Ethan said, summoning the Sun and Moon Beads from his body.

Patricia and the others' eyes went wide in shock.

"What are those beads?" someone shouted.

"I don't know, but I've seen one before. It belonged to Francis. How did he get it?" Patricia's face twisted in confusion.

Ethan sighed inwardly, thinking these hidden sects were really out of touch. Whether it was Brian before or these folks now, they were all shocked to see the Sun and Moon Beads with him. They clearly didn't know about the ZF Guild or his connection with Francis.

Ethan got it. If they knew he had someone like Francis, a grandmaster level expert, backing him, they wouldn't dare mess with him.

"What's your deal with Francis?" Ambrose asked, his face dark. Clearly, he and Patricia were wary of Francis.

"Why should I tell you? Scared already?" Ethan mocked them without holding back.

"Big talk. Let's see if Francis comes to save you," Seth grumbled through gritted teeth. The situation was frustrating him, and he blamed Ethan for it all.

"From the way he talks, he doesn't seem like Francis's disciple," Patricia said, frowning.

"Yeah, if he were, he wouldn't call his master by name," Ambrose agreed, looking relieved.

"Francis wanting me as a disciple? He probably doesn't have the chops," Ethan sneered. It wasn't that he disrespected Francis, but it was the truth, and Francis knew it too.

"What arrogance! Sounds like he has beef with Francis," Ambrose frowned.

"The real question is, how did Francis's bead end up with him?" Patricia focused on the Sun Bead, full of suspicion.

"Because the bead was mine to begin with. These two beads are a set. Francis just happened to have one, and I had the other," Ethan lied smoothly, trying to distance himself from Francis so these people wouldn't hold back.
