Chapter 458 Intimidation
Ivan and Enrique's faces went pale when they saw Milton's jacked-up wrist.
"Dude, what the hell happened?" Ivan asked, looking seriously freaked out.
"A Half-Step Grandmaster, and so young? Who the heck are you?" Milton, scared out of his mind, stared at Ethan, totally ignoring Ivan's question.
"You guys were dumb enough to mess with my mom." Ethan sneered, and before anyone could react, two more silver needles zipped towards Milton.
Milton's eyes went wide, and he tried to back off, but his body felt like it was moving through molasses. He barely saw the needles before a sharp pain hit him. His vision went dark, and he screamed like a banshee, almost blacking out.
"My eyes, my eyes!" Milton clutched his face, blood pouring out like a horror movie.
Ivan and Enrique were so freaked out by Milton's screams that they backed away, eventually collapsing to the ground, shaking like leaves.
"Think you can talk tough to me?" Ethan looked down at Milton, who was writhing on the ground, and snorted.
Keeping Milton alive would only help the bad guys. Who knows how many dirty deeds he did for Ivan? Blinding him was already going easy.
"Don't do anything crazy. My son-in-law is the garrison officer in Bankgok, man. If you don't want trouble, you better bounce now." Ivan was genuinely scared now. He hadn't expected Ethan to be such a badass. His top fighter got taken down like it was nothing, and the sheer ruthlessness of it chilled him to the bone.
"Finally bringing up your big-shot son-in-law? I told your son to call his brother-in-law earlier, but he chickened out. How about you call him now?" Ethan sneered dismissively.
"What do you mean?" Ivan asked, his face as white as a sheet.
"Don't say I didn't give you a chance. You and your son have done a ton of bad stuff. Even if I off you now, it would be justified. If you don't want to die, maybe your son-in-law can help. There might be a miracle." Ethan smiled, giving Ivan a grim reminder.
"Who the hell are you?" Ivan was a scumbag but not an idiot. Seeing Ethan's confidence and total disregard for Gary, his heart sank. He had a feeling they were still breathing only because Ethan wanted them to bring Gary here.
"I'm just a nobody, unlike you. But my patience is running thin. I'll give you three minutes to decide. If you don't call Gary within three minutes, you're dead meat." Ethan finished speaking and moved to stand in front of Milton, kicking him in the gut.
Milton screamed in pain, "My Sea of Qi, you've destroyed my Sea of Qi!"
"Someone like you deserves to rot. Killing you would be too easy. I'll blind you and wreck your Sea of Qi. Spend the rest of your life as a cripple, knowing what it's like to be bullied." Ethan kicked Milton again, sending him flying, and then turned his back on him.
Seeing Ethan's brutal methods, even Gerald's family went white as a sheet, let alone Ivan and Enrique.
Jared slowly came to his senses. Seeing Ivan and Enrique's terrified faces, he felt a twisted sense of satisfaction.
"So, you gonna call or what? I'm on a tight schedule and don't have time to mess around with you," Ethan said, frowning impatiently at Ivan, who was still in shock and hesitation.
"I'll call, I'll call right now!" Ivan stammered, his previous swagger completely gone. Scared out of his wits by Ethan, he saw Gary as his last hope and had no choice but to make the call.
Ethan watched with a stone-cold expression as Ivan dialed. Despite the chaos, Ivan kept his head and quickly explained the situation to Gary.
Gary, who was chilling with a massage, went pale when he heard Ivan was in deep trouble and that the opponent specifically wanted him to come. But when he heard the opponent was a Half-Step Grandmaster, his expression shifted.
As the garrison officer of Bankgok, Gary knew what a Half-Step Grandmaster meant. He also knew these martial artists had their own code and usually wouldn't mess with regular folks or government officials. Plus, they were often kept in check by powerful organizations and couldn't go against the state.
With this in mind, Gary's initial panic faded. He promised Ivan he'd come right away, then hung up and made a call to the prison, followed by a call to the local garrison. He then headed to Bankgok Prison with a squad of armed soldiers.
Worried about Ivan and Enrique's safety, Gary called the prison warden to get the situation under control. He didn't believe even a Half-Step Grandmaster would dare to go against the state.
At the entrance of Bankgok Prison, Ethan watched Ivan put down his phone, a slow smile spreading across his face. But Ivan, seeing Ethan's smile, felt a chill run down his spine and just wanted to get out of there ASAP.
"I've called Gary like you asked. Can we leave now?" Ivan took a deep breath and asked, trying to muster some courage.
"No rush. Whether you can leave or not depends on Gary when he gets here." Ethan shook his head with a smile, then patted the still-dazed Jared. "Jared, you wanna handle this yourself?"
Jared was stunned, not quite getting what Ethan meant.
"Don't you wanna have a little chat with Mr. Coleman? He came all the way here to get you out of prison. You should at least show some appreciation, right?" Ethan pointed to the terrified Enrique and smiled.
"Can I?" Jared looked at Enrique uncertainly, his fists clenched, but his eyes still showed hesitation.
"Of course, you can handle it however you want." Ethan grinned and waved at Enrique.
"What are you gonna do?" Enrique shivered in fear, backing away, looking at Ethan like he was the devil himself.
