Chapter 644 Each One More Arrogant Than the Last
"I said your days are numbered. Right now, no one but me can save you."
Neil warned with a sinister smile.
"Are you threatening me?"
Emilio roared in anger once again.
"That's right. When I went through all that trouble to take Maeve's soul from this place, you promised me you'd help me reach that level. But now, I'm just one step away, and you still haven't fulfilled your promise. You're forcing my hand!"
Neil's tone was filled with bitter anger.
"I don't care how you do it, you must get the Sun and Moon Beads for me!"
Emilio ignored Neil's anger and coldly commanded in an unquestionable tone.
"Why should I risk my life for you now?"
Neil sneered dismissively.
"I can give you what you want, but in exchange, you must bring me the beads!"
Emilio was silent for a moment before finally giving Neil an offer he couldn't refuse.
This was the promise Neil had been waiting for all these years!
"You finally understand that only I can help you now! I'll bring you the beads, but you better not forget your promise. Otherwise, I won't hesitate to go back and retrieve Maeve's soul, and then your plan will be completely ruined!"
Neil's face finally showed satisfaction, and he coldly warned Emilio one last time before disappearing from the space.
At this moment, Ethan and his group, who had found nothing in Vast Mountain, were preparing to leave when Francis suddenly looked southward with a surprised expression.
"Such a powerful aura, it must be a top grandmaster. Could Kirk have arrived so quickly?"
Francis muttered softly with a serious expression, being the first to notice the anomaly.
Ethan and Kenneth, hearing this, also looked in the direction Francis was staring at with surprise.
Before long, an old man's figure appeared in their sight—it was Daryl from the Hills Guild!
"Francis, it's been years. I didn't expect that you're a late-stage grandmaster now!"
Daryl, clearly an old acquaintance of Francis, recognized him at a glance.
"Daryl!"
Francis immediately recognized Daryl, his face showing some surprise.
He had expected Kirk to come, but didn't anticipate that Daryl had reached the level of top grandmaster!
"It's rare that you still recognize me. Let's cut the chatter. Hand over everything you took from the ML Guild!"
Daryl didn't seem to take Ethan and Francis seriously, warning them in a hostile tone.
"You're talking about those Magic Stones, right?"
Ethan's heart stirred upon hearing this, and he coldly asked before Francis could speak.
"You're the Ethan who tamed Moonhowl?"
Daryl's eyes scanned Ethan and Orla, his pupils narrowing slightly.
"That's right. Why don't you mention that I also destroyed Kirk's puppet? That is too embarrassing for the Hills Guild, right?"
Ethan smirked at Daryl, mocking him.
Originally frustrated by not finding the foreign general, Ethan was already in a bad mood. Daryl's appearance and his dismissive attitude only made him more irritated.
"Ethan, do you think that just because Francis is here, I can't kill you?"
Daryl didn't expect an early-stage master to speak to him like this, and his anger flared up instantly!
"Come on, then. I'm waiting for you to try. I just doubt you have the ability!"
Ethan sneered dismissively.
"You're courting death!"
Daryl roared in anger. He was a top grandmaster now, and even Francis was a level below him. Being provoked by Ethan like this, he was already intent on killing!
Francis realized the danger, his face changing drastically. But before he could intervene, Daryl had already disappeared and was striking at Ethan!
It was too late for Francis to stop him!
Fortunately, the Sun and Moon Beads suddenly appeared, blocking Daryl's sudden attack and causing the surrounding space to tremble.
Although the immense power was blocked, Ethan was still pushed back a distance before he could stabilize himself, looking somewhat disheveled.
"You aren't all that impressive!"
Stubborn as ever, Ethan ignored the chaotic energy surging within him and instead sneered with disdain.
"The Sun and Moon Beads! You actually found both beads!"
Daryl's face showed shock upon seeing the beads in front of Ethan!
"Looks like your intelligence isn't that great, huh?"
Ethan mocked even more.
"Daryl, I don't want to tangle with you today. Don't think I'm really afraid of you!"
Francis, seeing that Ethan was unharmed, breathed a sigh of relief and warned Daryl with a grim expression.
Daryl's face turned extremely grim.
Among the three people and one beast in front of him, even if they all attacked together, they might not be his match. His only concern had been the Sun Bead that Francis possessed!
But now, with both the Sun and Moon Beads, even if Ethan was not a threat, the combined power of the beads in Francis's hands would be something he couldn't withstand!
"Hand over the Magic Stones, and I can pretend nothing happened. I'll leave immediately and won't trouble you!"
Daryl's face showed a mix of emotions as he seemed ready to compromise.
"What if I don't?"
Ethan sneered.
"Do you really want to make an enemy of the Hills Guild?"
Daryl asked coldly, squinting his eyes.
"You must be really stupid for your age. Aren't we already enemies? Do you think giving you the Magic Stones will make us friends? Do you even have the authority to make decisions for Kirk?"
Ethan mocked without holding back.
Daryl's nose almost flared with anger at Ethan's words, but he knew he couldn't act rashly now!
"You really are a troublemaker!"
Francis was dumbfounded. He was already struggling to figure out how to get rid of Daryl, and here Ethan was, seemingly trying to provoke him to the limit!
'If you're so capable, don't come begging for my help when you're being hunted down later!' Francis snorted at Ethan inwardly.
"I just can't stand the sight of anyone from the Hills Guild. Who told him to get in my way?"
Ethan snorted dismissively.
Daryl thought he was arrogant enough, given his strength compared to the people in front of him. But he didn't expect Ethan, an early-stage master, to be even more arrogant!
Just as Daryl was about to lose his patience and strike again, his face suddenly changed!
