Chapter 379 What Is Coming Will Come

The next morning, Ethan told everyone he'd be gone for a few days. He didn't mention the Norway task to avoid worrying Jessie, Chloe, and the others. Once in Norway, he could call Alice to bring her back.

When Ethan reached Midnight Oasis, he was surprised. Besides Dorian and Gino, Caspar and Kenny were there too. Caspar sat in the car, lost in thought, while Kenny glared at Ethan before looking away.

"I should've known they'd come," Ethan sighed.

"What's coming will come. I don't want to hide it from Caspar anymore," Gino said with a bitter smile.

"Don't worry, I'll keep an eye on them," Dorian assured.

"Alright, it's a long drive to Sunridge. Let's get going," Ethan said, getting into Gino's car. Dorian drove Caspar and Kenny.

In Sunridge, inside Rex's study, Rex was furious. "Is that true?" he shouted, slamming his fist on the desk.

"I rushed back as soon as I heard. They're on their way to Sunridge. What should we do?" Jim asked, worried.

"Gino's been saying for thirty years he wants to kill me. Is he back to avenge his mom?" Rex calmed down a bit.

"We expected this. My only concern is Dorian. I didn't think Gino would tell Caspar; otherwise, they wouldn't have come back together," Jim said through gritted teeth.

"Do you think Dorian will help him against us?" Rex's face darkened.

The Salvador family was weaker than the Ashford family, especially with a master-level member like Dorian. If Dorian sided with Gino, Rex and Jim were in trouble.

"But Caspar might not just stand by. Maybe we can work on her. As long as Dorian doesn't intervene, Gino alone isn't a threat," Jim suggested.

"But if we do that, Caspar won't let us touch Gino," Rex snorted, clenching his fists.

"So what do we do now?" Jim asked.

"Isn't Paul nearby? Send him the pills from my pharmacy," Rex ordered after a moment.

Jim understood and quickly left the study.

Half a day into the journey, Ethan noticed Gino seemed preoccupied. He understood; Gino wanted to revenge on his father.

"We're almost in Sunridge. Don't overthink it; what's coming will come," Ethan said, patting Gino's shoulder.

"I know, Ethan. You don't need to worry about me," Gino nodded, but Ethan could tell he wasn't at ease.

"Are you really planning to kill him to avenge your mom?" Ethan hesitated before asking.

Gino frowned and stayed silent for a while, then slowly shook his head. "I don't know. I don't even know how I'll react when I see him."

"No matter what you decide, just don't regret it. Sometimes, killing isn't the best solution. With your ties to Rex and Caspar, you'll have more to consider," Ethan advised.

Gino frowned, even more confused. Could he really go through with it?

In the car behind, Caspar looked at the familiar surroundings, deep in thought.

"Mom, if Grandpa really killed Grandma, what will you do?" Kenny asked, noticing her unease.

"I don't know. I hope it's a misunderstanding. I came back to find the truth. As for what to do, I have no idea," Caspar said, looking bewildered.

"You don't need to worry about this; Gino will handle it," Dorian said calmly from the driver's seat.

"I don't get why you're so respectful to Ethan. He might not even dare to do anything to you," Kenny snorted, still dissatisfied.

"He can't do anything to me, but Francis can kill me anytime, even destroy the entire Ashford family! Don't forget Ethan's current status; he's beyond our reach! Show him respect," Dorian warned.

"He's just a small man who got lucky!" Kenny snorted again, unable to accept the gap between him and Ethan.

As they spoke, the two cars arrived at the Salvador family estate gate.

After thirty years, returning to this familiar yet strange place, Gino was nervous.

"Don't overthink it; let's get out," Ethan said, patting Gino's shoulder and getting out first.

Once everyone was out, the Salvador estate gate opened wide. A group of armed guards, led by Jim, came out.

"Caspar, Dorian, Gino, it's one thing for you to come back, but why bring an outsider?" Jim's expression changed when he saw Ethan.

"I'm just here to watch; you can pretend I'm not here," Ethan laughed.

"The Salvador family's business isn't for outsiders to watch," Jim snorted, his face darkening.

"Jim, let us in," Caspar stepped forward, her expression complex.

"Caspar, I wouldn't stop you if you were alone. But the others, no way," Jim said seriously.

Caspar trembled, looking at Jim in disbelief.

"Fine, if you won't let us in, at least let Dad come out," Caspar said, taking a deep breath.
