Chapter 323 Hannah's Interrogation
Ethan was satisfied with Alexander's work efficiency.
After all, Alexander was still in Everglow City, it wasn't easy for him to find clues in Emerald Vein quickly.
"I found it. I'll send you the address now. You should find something if you head over there. But I can't guarantee Ignatius will be there!" Alexander's voice came through the phone.
"Keep me updated!" Ethan said, ready to hang up the phone.
"Wait, Mr. Wilson. There's one more thing. Hannah should not be in the hands of the Ashford family now. I just found out she's with a local gang in Emerald Vein, and the location is a bar," Alexander added before Ethan could hang up.
"Got it!" Ethan said, then ended the call with Alexander.
"Do you have Rodolfo's phone number? I need to talk to him about something!" Ethan asked. Since it involved local thugs, it was more appropriate for him to seek Rodolfo's help. At least he could find a way to understand the situation first.
"Do you have news about Miss Collins?" Beckett asked eagerly, handing Ethan Rodolfo's business card.
Ethan didn't answer but directly dialed Rodolfo's number.
After hearing Ethan's request, Rodolfo agreed without hesitation.
By the time Ethan and Beckett arrived at the address Alexander sent, Rodolfo had already arranged everything.
"Mr. Wilson, as per your instructions, I've had the bar under control, and we've found Hannah. She's inside now!" Rodolfo greeted Ethan as soon as he saw him at the door.
"Is she okay?" Ethan asked with a frown.
"She's fine. My men arrived in time; otherwise, Miss Collins might have suffered," Rodolfo replied.
Although Rodolfo didn't elaborate, Ethan could guess what he meant by "suffered."
When Ethan and the others walked into the bar, they immediately saw Hannah sitting in a booth. She had her head down, draped in a suit jacket, but her clothes underneath were disheveled and torn in places, and she looked quite distressed.
"Ethan!" The moment she saw Ethan, Hannah sprinted into his arms and started crying loudly.
Ethan hesitated for a moment but then gently patted Hannah's back, comforting her while asking about what had happened.
As he had suspected, the Ashford family released Hannah after learning about her relationship with him. However, Ignatius handed her over to local thugs.
These thugs brought Hannah back to the bar and were about to assault her when Rodolfo's men arrived just in time, took control of the situation, and rescued her.
After hearing Hannah's account, Ethan's face turned extremely grim.
Fortunately, he had the foresight to have Rodolfo's men arrive first; otherwise, by the time he got there, Hannah would have been violated.
"It's okay now! We have to thank Rodolfo for rescuing you this time!" Ethan comforted Hannah for a while, finally calming her down from her agitation and distress.
Hannah then noticed Rodolfo standing behind Ethan and quickly thanked him.
"You're welcome. I didn't expect these scumbags to be so bold as to target Miss Collins. If you are still angry, I'll deal with them for you!" Rodolfo said, patting his chest confidently.
"Where are those guys?" Ethan asked with a frown.
"They're in the private room, under my men's watch," Rodolfo replied immediately.
"You and Beckett wait for me in the car. I'll go in with Rodolfo to get the details and be right out," Ethan softly instructed Hannah.
"Okay, but hurry up!" Hannah reluctantly left Ethan's embrace.
The thugs actually knew nothing. They usually just watched over the bar. When someone suddenly came in with a woman, they were happy to accept and quickly brought Hannah back from an abandoned factory.
They didn't feel safe leaving her in a hotel, so they brought her back to the bar, their territory.
But they didn't expect Rodolfo's men to show up just as they were about to assault Hannah, taking them down and rescuing her.
It was only then that the thugs realized they had been set up and were in big trouble.
After getting the details from the thugs, Ethan left the private room.
As for how to deal with the thugs, he trusted Rodolfo had more ways than he did.
After leaving the bar, Ethan took Hannah and the others back to the hotel where they had been staying.
"Ethan, did we lose our shipment?" Hannah asked.
After returning to the room, Hannah finally calmed down completely. She was most concerned about the three billion dollars worth of raw stones.
This shipment was the company's raw material reserve for the next quarter. If they couldn't get it back, the loss would be more than just three billion dollars.
"Are you still thinking about the shipment? As long as you're okay, that's all that matters! If you got hurt today, I wouldn't know how to face Camila when we got back!" Ethan, recalling the scene at the bar, still felt a lingering fear.
"You're worried about my safety?" Hannah stared at Ethan, blushing.
Hannah had long known her feelings for Ethan. When she saw him so concerned about her, her fear and grievance disappeared, leaving only sweetness.
"You're Camila's mom, after all. How could I not worry about you?" Sensing Hannah's emotions, Ethan blushed, feeling a bit awkward.
"Are you still not willing to confess to me?" Hearing this, a look of disappointment flashed in Hannah's eyes.
Every time they talked about feelings, Ethan would either change the subject or avoid it altogether, leaving Hannah feeling helpless.
"Aren't I confessing to you now?" Ethan asked with a wry smile.
"It's different. You know I'm talking about feelings. You know I like you, but you don't want to respond to me, right?" Hannah bluntly laid it out, stubbornly staring at Ethan and questioning him.
"You know I already have Chloe and Sarah." With that, Ethan immediately felt a headache coming on. He should have left right away instead of sending Hannah back to her room if he had known.
