Chapter 361 Meeting Jessie

Outside Everglow City, on a desolate mountain, a few figures suddenly appeared at the entrance to the Tiger Mount secret realm, where Ethan and his group had been a few days ago. They landed on the mountaintop.

"Where is everyone? Did they all leave?" Ethan asked, seeing the empty mountaintop.

Jessie had said lots of people would be here, but it was deserted.

"Others can't enter Tiger Mount, so why would they hang around here?" Clarence said with a wry smile.

"Good point," Ethan nodded, then frowned as if something new had entered his mind. A man's voice murmured in his ear, but he couldn't make out the words.

"I forgot to ask Francis about this. Why can't I remember anything after communicating with the ancestor's divine sense?" Ethan muttered. He figured even if he asked Francis, he might not get a clear answer and would probably be mocked. Better to figure it out himself.

"Ethan, what are you mumbling about?" Jessie asked, frowning.

"Nothing. Since we're out, let's head back." Ethan brushed it off and was about to lead the group away when he saw a familiar figure approaching.

"Gino, what are you doing here?" Ethan asked.

"Ethan, my master asked me to wait here for you and return with you," Gino said, more respectful than before.

"Phoenix?" Ethan was surprised.

"Yes," Gino replied.

"Alright, let's go together then. Phoenix must have told you what to do with me, right?" Ethan asked as they walked down the mountain.

Gino didn't answer, just frowned.

Seeing his expression, Ethan laughed, "I don't think the Salvador family matter is that complicated. Since Phoenix asked you to listen to me, I'll make the arrangements. Just stay by my side."

"No problem," Gino hesitated, then nodded slowly.

"Good, but before we go to the Salvador family, I have a lot to handle. Let's head back to Everglow City first," Ethan said. He knew everything had to be taken care of step by step. He still had to deal with the Ashford and Wilson families, and more importantly, he hadn't explained things about Sarah, Chloe, and Hannah to Jessie yet.

Thinking about Jessie pulling his ear and questioning him made Ethan feel guilty.

"Let's go back to the Miller family first. Percival said they returned to Everglow City from Novaria and are waiting for you at home," Munro said after finishing a call.

"Chloe and the others are here too?" Ethan wasn't too surprised. He had been away from Novaria for about ten days, so it was normal for them to worry and come after him. He glanced guiltily at Jessie, wondering what she would do when she saw them.

They descended the mountain, and the car waiting for them was already parked at the foot.

An hour later, they returned to the Miller family estate in Everglow City.

Not only Chloe and Sarah had come back, but Hannah and Camila had also followed out of concern.

Camila was nestled in Percival's arms, tugging at his beard, and he didn't seem to mind. Laughter echoed from the living room.

Chloe, Sarah, and Hannah stood at the door, looking out at the yard, their faces filled with worry and longing.

They knew Ethan and Jessie would be there, so they were nervous.

None of them had interacted with Jessie before, so they didn't know what she was like or if they'd get along.

If they weren't so unsure, they'd probably be waiting at the gate.

When Ethan and the others walked into the yard, Chloe, Sarah, and Hannah couldn't care about anyone else. Their worry for Ethan had long surpassed everything else, and they all ran towards him.

However, when they got close, they didn't dare to move or show too much affection. Their eyes instinctively fell on Jessie.

"Let me introduce you. This is my mom, Jessie," Ethan said, noticing their restraint. He was nervous too, constantly watching Jessie's reaction.

Fortunately, Jessie kept a gentle smile on her face when she saw them, which made Ethan breathe a sigh of relief.

"Jessie, nice to meet you!" Chloe, Sarah, and Hannah greeted in unison.

"Nice to meet you too. Ethan, aren't you going to introduce them to me?" Jessie said. She thought to herself, these three girls seem to have a special relationship with Ethan. Come on! But she pretended to be nonchalant.

Ethan then introduced them to Jessie one by one.

Jessie didn't put on airs and soon started chatting warmly with them, leaving Ethan relieved.

Just then, Camila came running out of the living room happily.

"Daddy," Camila shouted in surprise and jumped into Ethan's arms.

Jessie, who was chatting with Chloe, Sarah, and Hannah, almost stumbled when she heard Camila call out!

She thought, 'Daddy! She looks about six years old, and she's calling Ethan daddy!'

"Camila, go say hi to Grandma!" Ethan patted Camila's head and then pointed to Jessie.

"Hi, Grandma!" Camila immediately ran over and greeted Jessie.

"Camila, right? You are so pretty. I can't believe I have such a big granddaughter!" Jessie awkwardly picked up Camila.

"Jessie, don't misunderstand. She's not Ethan's child; she's his goddaughter!" Hannah quickly explained, seeing the confusion in Jessie's eyes.

Jessie nodded in realization, thinking that Ethan couldn't be that outrageous to have a child already!

She had only been away from Ethan for a few years. If the child was six years old, how young would Ethan have been when he had her?

So, she was just a goddaughter!

"Mom, let them accompany you. I'll go inside and say hi to Percival!" Ethan quickly found an excuse to escape, disappearing before Jessie could react.

"He knows I'm going to scold him, so he runs away!" Jessie rolled her eyes, her tone full of helplessness.

"Jessie, I know you must have a lot of questions. Why don't we sit down and talk?" Chloe suggested.

She realized that Ethan didn't know how to explain their relationship to Jessie. It was clear that some things would be more convincing if they explained it themselves.
