Chapter 231 The Scholar
Ethan straightforwardly refused. "I think it's more appropriate to meet at Zenith Group. Honestly, I've grown to like this place. Going somewhere else makes me feel uncomfortable!"
"Ethan, what exactly are you trying to do? You better not get any ideas about Zenith Group or Skyline Center. I know it was your idea for the Harris family to target Skyline Center. It's pure wishful thinking!" Dorian's face turned even darker upon hearing this.
"What are you talking about? I don't understand! Don't try to scare me!" Ethan continued to play dumb.
"You're looking for trouble! I don't have time to chat with you. Since you won't come to the hospital, go wherever you want; it has nothing to do with me. Don't even think about stepping into Zenith Group!" Dorian snorted coldly and hung up the phone.
"Such a bad temper!" Ethan shook his head in exasperation as he listened to the phone disconnect.
"I told you Dorian wouldn't pay attention to you, yet you still went looking for trouble!" Sarah pouted and huffed.
"Don't worry. If Dorian won't deal with me, someone else will! There are so many people in the Ashford family; someone will be willing to meet me!" Ethan nonchalantly smiled and then said to the security guard from earlier, "Your chairman probably ate something bad, but no worries, I'll be at Skyline Center all day. If he comes, let him know I'm waiting for him!" With that, Ethan turned and left with the three girls without looking back.
"What's the point of this trip?" It was only then that Chloe spoke up.
"Some people need a little push. Dorian can keep his cool, but others might not. The hospital informed us that Kenny was discharged half an hour ago." Ethan smiled confidently.
"What scheme are you up to now?" Chloe seemed to understand Ethan's intentions, her brows furrowing even more.
"This is called using a fishing strategy. I've been fishing for two days now; I should hook a fish soon, right?" Ethan couldn't help but laugh heartily.
In the monitoring room of Zenith Group, someone happened to see Ethan and his group leaving.
"That's Ethan? I can't see what's so impressive about him, yet even Kenny suffered a loss!"
"He actually dares to come to Zenith Group; this is clearly a provocation!"
"The main person in charge has instructed us not to act rashly. So long as he doesn't force his way in, no one is to go out and cause trouble for him!"
"Are we just supposed to watch him loiter around us all day? What is the main person in charge thinking?"
For a moment, several Ashford family apprentices, who had long been displeased with Ethan, angrily discussed the situation. However, they were wary of Ethan. If it had been anyone else, the target would have been beaten to a pulp!
"Don't worry, Kenny has been discharged. This young man won't be smug for long!" At that moment, Magnus suddenly pushed the door open and reminded the Ashford family apprentices.
Meanwhile, Dorian and his family, who had already left the hospital, were heading straight for Skyline Center.
Although Dorian hadn't agreed to Ethan's request, he still decided to come and take a look out of concern.
More importantly, Caspar and Kenny had no intention of letting Ethan off easily, especially since he had come to them on his own accord today.
Caspar and Kenny didn't have as many concerns as Dorian.
"You can go, but don't be reckless until you understand the situation!" Dorian reminded them in the car, still uneasy.
"Don't worry. You won't need to lift a finger today. I've already called Jim over! Since the Ashford family can't handle him, I'll let the Salvador family take care of it for us!"
Caspar snorted dismissively.
"Uncle Jim is in Everglow City?" Kenny's spirits lifted immediately upon hearing Caspar's words.
"Jim is in Everglow City?" Dorian was also taken aback, clearly not expecting Caspar to act so quickly.
"He just arrived this morning. I only got the news recently! It's perfect timing; he can help Kenny vent his anger!" Caspar only elaborated a little. In fact, she herself hadn't expected Rex to send Jim to Everglow City. It might have something to do with the call she made earlier; Jim was likely here because of Gino!
But now, Caspar didn't have the time to think about it. Her mind was solely focused on getting revenge for Kenny!
"Alright. Since Jim is here, I won't get involved later. You act according to the situation. But remember, Ethan called me, which means he has prepared. If things get out of control, don't force it!" Dorian pondered, not minding Caspar's implied complaint, and seriously reminded them.
Caspar didn't respond, and nobody knew if she had taken it to heart. On the other hand, Kenny clenched his fists, a glint of madness flashing in his eyes.
Seeing Caspar and Kenny like this, Dorian was about to say something more when his phone suddenly rang.
"The Harris family is at Store No. 1 again? Alright, keep an eye on them. Don't worry about what they're doing. Just keep them under surveillance. No one is allowed to interact with the Harris family without my permission!" Clearly, Dorian had received news about Lucien and his group.
"What's going on?" Caspar couldn't help but ask.
"The young people from the Harris family, after parting ways with Ethan at Skyline Center, have gone to our Store No. 1." Dorian had a peculiar expression on his face.
Lucien and his group, following Ethan's instructions, went to the Ashford family's store and started shopping like crazy. To put it plainly, they were there to cause trouble. They bought things and then began to nitpick, claiming quality issues and demanding refunds. In short, they were trying to disrupt business!
Dorian pondered, 'Could Ethan be trying to disgust me with this tactic?'
"The Harris family is underestimating us. We've given them enough face, and they still want to cause trouble. Do they really think the Ashford family is easy to bully?" Upon hearing that Lucien and his group were deliberately causing trouble in the store, Kenny was furious.
Store No. 1 was a business he had been managing. He had coincidentally run into Ethan and Lyra on Elm Street after coming out of Store No. 1.
To Kenny, this was undoubtedly another provocation from Ethan.
Although the Harris family was causing trouble, it was clearly Ethan pulling the strings behind the scenes!
"Don't be impulsive. The young people from the Harris family are just messing around. Once we deal with Ethan, the Harris family will naturally calm down." Caspar saw through the situation clearly this time and coldly reminded Kenny, holding his hand.
"After we deal with Ethan, I'll take my time with them!" Kenny clearly had no intention of letting Lucien and his group off easily.
After leaving Zenith Group, Ethan took the three girls to the fourth-floor cinema to watch a movie.
The movie lasted over two hours, and by the time Dorian and his family arrived at Skyline Center, the movie was only halfway through.
"I'll go up first. After you meet up with Jim, find Ethan. I'll keep an eye on the situation from the shadows," Dorian instructed Caspar and Kenny before heading into Zenith Group.
"Where is Ethan now?" Caspar asked the security guard after Dorian left.
