Chapter 260 Dorian's Doing
The reason for holding the new group's celebratory banquet at the Everglow City Hotel was the hotel's reputation and influence in Everglow City and beyond it.
After the press conference ended, all the journalists received a generous fee provided by Alexander, leaving with smiles on their faces, while some representatives from mainstream TV media and newspapers were invited to the banquet at the Everglow City Hotel, which pleasantly surprised them.
It was not surprised to invite journalists to such events. Still, the invitation was usually targeted and limited to one or two, allowing the host to disclose some information they wanted to be released.
If too many journalists were invited, it could lead to uncontrollable factors. If something unpleasant or negative happened, it could easily be reported.
This time, Stellar Nexus Enterprises invited all the mainstream media journalists to the banquet, which was unexpected for everyone.
If the competitors caused trouble or bribed a few journalists, it could bring significant trouble. Generally, no one would do this unless they dominated the industry or had official support, making others dare not oppose them.
Ethan didn't pay much attention to this aspect. Since he had Alexander arrange it this way, he naturally wasn't afraid of the journalists causing trouble.
Before the banquet started, Ethan drove to the hotel entrance to personally welcome the three girls, Chloe and other girls.
When the three girls walked out of the hotel entrance, Ethan's gaze remained fixated!
Having spent considerable time in their company, Ethan believed he could resist the allure of their beauty. However, he had not anticipated the collective impact of the three women's meticulous grooming, a force so potent that it even gave him pause.
Alice, the blonde with blue eyes, was wearing a long purple dress that accentuated her exaggerated curves, which could definitely stun countless men!
Chloe wore an elegant white fitted long dress. In contrast, Sarah wore black, resembling a serene and elegant white lotus and a mysteriously alluring black tulip, giving completely different styles and impressions, yet both equally stunning.
"You've never seen a beautiful woman before? Your eyes are about to pop out!" Seeing Ethan's fixed gaze, Sarah smugly reminded him.
"You are so hot, and yet you don't allow others to look?" Chloe covered her red lips and teased with a laugh.
"Didn't you dress up just for me to see?" Ethan nodded repeatedly.
Sarah dolled herself up for Ethan, so other people's gazes and feelings had little to do with her.
"Shameless! Who said I dressed for you? The banquet isn't just for you!" Sarah glared at Ethan and then discontentedly reminded Chloe, "If anyone's sexy, it should be Alice. Look at her figure. If I were a man, I probably couldn't resist pouncing on her!"
While saying this, Sarah glanced at Ethan's reaction, clearly implying something.
"Would Ethan pounce?" Alice, hearing this, looked at Ethan with genuine anticipation and asked.
"That depends on whether he has the guts. He certainly isn't lacking the courage!" Chloe laughed.
Ethan felt embarrassed, rubbed his nose, and grumbled, "Are you three just teasing me on purpose? Hurry up and get in the car!"
The three girls giggled and got into Ethan's car, and Sarah nonchalantly reminded them, "Many people want to have fun with the three of us but don't have the chance. You should be content!"
"You're all right!" Ethan nodded with a wry smile, starting the car towards the Everglow City Hotel. He could already imagine that the three girls would undoubtedly be the focus of the entire banquet tonight. Or rather, Ethan had hoped they would become the center of attention.
The celebratory banquet for Stellar Nexus Enterprises was held in the grand ballroom of the Everglow City Hotel, the largest banquet area in the hotel, which Alexander had booked at a high cost for the night.
Regardless of their status, anyone attending the banquet, except for the group's people, had to present an invitation to pass security and enter the venue.
However, when Ethan walked into the ballroom with the three girls, he didn't see the bustling scene he had expected. Apart from the journalists who had come directly from the press conference, there were only a few dozen guests, making the large ballroom seem even emptier.
"What's going on? Didn't it start at six? It's already been over ten minutes, and there are so few people?" Sarah asked, looking at Ethan's calm face with suspicion.
"I remember the invitation list had at least over two hundred people, right? And the ones here are mostly partners from the Harris family and the Miller family, all our people!" Chloe looked around carefully, equally puzzled.
"Isn't it obvious? Some people can't stand to see us doing well and want to cause trouble!" Ethan seemed to have anticipated this, smiling indifferently.
"Are you saying it's Dorian causing trouble?" Sarah immediately caught on.
"Given Dorian's capabilities and his connections in Everglow City, it wouldn't be hard for him to accomplish this!" Chloe nodded in agreement.
"So what do we do? If the people we invited don't show up, this banquet will be a joke! With so many journalists here, if the news gets out, it will definitely affect the new group's reputation!" Sarah frowned, looking serious.
"Why worry? The banquet has just started, hasn't it?" Ethan smiled mysteriously as if he had already prepared for such a situation.
"It seems you anticipated Dorian causing trouble and already had a plan. We worried for nothing!" Chloe seemed to be infected by Ethan's confidence, a smile appearing on her pretty face.
"Exactly, if Ethan wasn't worried, why should we be?" Sarah nodded in agreement.
At that moment, the main representatives of the Harris family and the Miller family arrived. Besides the heads of both families attending in person, the senior executives of each group also accompanied them, including Chloe's parents, Munro and Cherry.
"Munro and Cherry are here, too. It seems that they've figured it out." Sarah's eyes lit up upon seeing them.
"Most likely forced by Grandpa. They wouldn't dare go against him now," Chloe said with a hint of helplessness in her eyes, especially since Cherry didn't even seem to want to greet them after she arrived. Even worse, there was a trace of disgust in Cherry's gaze towards Ethan. Chloe knew that Cherry and Munro's prejudice against Ethan would be hard to change anytime soon.
"They thought they could control you, but now they've been forced by Percival!" Sarah teased, pouting.
"Could you please keep quiet for a moment? I'm going over to say hello!" Ethan glared at Sarah and walked towards Munro and Cherry. Even if his future in-laws didn't like him, he still had to show proper etiquette, if only for Chloe's sake.
