Chapter 428 A Foggy Area

Asura Bloodhand's words made the spinning Sun and Moon Beads stop abruptly, and Ethan's eyes widened.

"What did you say?" Ethan asked again, making sure he heard right.

"I stumbled upon a secret realm built by an ancient cultivator. I was injured by the elders from Celestia Vale and accidentally escaped into it. I thought I'd never recover, but I found an opportunity there and regained my grandmaster level after more than ten years," Asura Bloodhand said, panting.

"Are you messing with me?" Ethan frowned. Normally, he wouldn't believe such a story, but after the Tiger Mount secret realm opened, he knew these places existed.

If Arthur could create the Tiger Mount secret realm, other ancient cultivators could too. If Asura Bloodhand was telling the truth, there could be great opportunities in such a realm.

"Tell me everything you know, exactly as it happened. If you lie, you'll regret it," Ethan threatened.

Asura Bloodhand, not daring to deceive Ethan, quickly recounted his discovery and the benefits he found.

He was being chased by Celestia Vale elders and fell off a cliff, hitting a rock near a hidden waterfall. That rock seemed to be the key to the secret realm, and touching it sucked him in, helping him escape.

Inside the realm, he was unconscious for a while. When he woke up, he found himself in a foggy area, wandering aimlessly. He thought he was doomed, but the fog slowly healed his internal injuries.

This process took a long time. Although he didn't die, he had to stay put and heal. Eventually, his injuries healed, but his cultivation level dropped from grandmaster to just entering the master level.

Knowing how hard it was to advance from master to grandmaster, he felt disheartened. But in that dark, endless place, grandmaster-level strength was useless.

One day, he saw a light ahead. Like a beacon of hope, he rushed towards it.

But he soon realized the light led to a maze-like passage!

After some thought, Asura Bloodhand decided to venture in. No matter which path he chose, he always ended up back in the fog, like he was stuck in a loop.

He wasn't sure if he was entering and exiting the same entrance repeatedly.

Determined, he spent his days either cultivating or trying to navigate the maze. One day, he found the entrance led to a spot near a small waterfall, not the foggy realm!

It seemed he had returned to the real world!

He quickly found the rock and was sucked back into the secret realm. This time, he didn't pass out and retraced his steps to return to the real world.

After confirming the entrance, Asura Bloodhand left the waterfall and returned to the cliff where he had fallen, realizing he was indeed back!

To his shock, nearly twenty years had passed in the real world!

In the foggy realm, he had no concept of time—no sun or moon to track it.

"So, you found a maze. How is that a secret realm? The benefits you mentioned, are they just the healing aura?" Ethan questioned, frowning.

He didn't think Asura Bloodhand would lie since he could verify it himself. But Asura Bloodhand's experience didn't seem that special. Even in Tiger Mount, the spiritual energy made cultivation more effective.

Secret realms always had such effects, so it wasn't surprising.

"I’m not done yet. Remember that day at Silvermist Peak in Novaria when Francis saved you? I knew I couldn't beat him, so I left. After that, I returned to the secret realm and went through the maze again. This time, I found something new!" Asura Bloodhand quickly added.

"What did you find?" Ethan asked, frowning.

"There were many yellow light clusters of various sizes in the maze. They had words in them that could be put together. After collecting them, I found out this place was the cave of an ancient cultivator," Asura Bloodhand explained.

"The words in those light clusters said that?" Ethan asked.

"Yes, and there's also the inheritance of that cultivator in the cave. But to get it, you have to pass the tests set by the cultivator." Asura Bloodhand smiled bitterly, as if recalling something difficult.
