Chapter 248 No Feelings
"Grandpa, thank you!" Chloe approached Percival, her face full of gratitude.
"Silly, I'm old now. My only hope is for my children and grandchildren to live a happy life. You have a good eye. I'm very pleased!" Percival glanced meaningfully at Ethan and smiled kindly at Chloe.
"Now that the Skyline Center is yours, isn't it time to start your new company?" Sarah reminded Ethan with a serious expression.
"The registration for the new group is already underway. Now, we need the property rights of the Skyline Center as the registration address. At most, it will take a day to complete all the procedures!" Alexander answered for Ethan from the side.
"We need to speed things up. I just got word that Dashiell met with Dorian today!" Clarence reminded with a frown.
"We already got the news when Dashiell entered Everglow City. The alliance between the Wilson family and the Ashford family is a done deal. What I'm more curious about now is how they will cooperate," Ethan said with an indifferent smile.
"Dashiell has always been pragmatic, experienced, and particularly tricky. Don't underestimate him! The reason Brady chose Dashiell over Zephyr and Logan is a testament to his abilities!" Carlos clearly had some understanding of Dashiell.
"Let's not talk about this for now. We need to hurry and get the things with our energy group done as soon as possible. Moving into the Skyline Center within three days and starting normal operations within a week shouldn't be a problem, right?" Ethan asked Jayden.
"It should be okay to get things working within a week. Besides the venue, all other preparations have been arranged and will soon be on track!" Jayden confidently assured.
"How about we hold a banquet to celebrate when the group officially opens?" Alexander suggested.
"That's a good idea. The new group has just been established, and we do need such a banquet to encourage everyone and help us get to know each other better. After all, this new group is a joint effort of our three families, and getting along well is very important!" Carlos nodded in agreement.
"I'm just worried that some people might come to cause trouble!" Ethan smiled noncommittally.
"So, we shouldn't hold the banquet?" Alexander asked with a frown.
"Of course, we should hold it, but how we do it should be up to us. Let's give Baytown some benefits first." Ethan smiled slyly.
"You should discuss this after you get back. Don't forget that Dorian is already waiting for you at the hospital. Go and get this matter settled quickly!" Carlos laughed and scolded.
"You're right. We can't keep him waiting. I'll go by myself. You all wait for my news!" Ethan nodded. This time, he didn't bring anyone with him and headed to the hospital alone.
When Dorian and Caspar, who were guarding outside Lysander's ward, saw Ethan coming alone, they both showed a hint of surprise.
"You're here alone. Aren't you afraid you may not be able to go back safely?" Dorian asked calmly and raised an eyebrow.
"What should I be afraid of? Unless you think my life is worth more than Kenny's!" Ethan chuckled, unconcerned.
Dorian knew this guy wasn't afraid. Although he was unwilling, there was nothing he could do to him.
"I don't want to be disturbed while I treat the patient, so you'll all wait outside," Ethan reminded the two and then directly entered Lysander's ward, closing the door behind him.
However, it was for Ethan to wake up Lysander.
A few minutes later, Lysander opened his eyes and sat up energetically from the hospital bed.
"How long did I sleep?" Lysander was well aware of the current situation and asked.
"Just a few days. Thanks a lot to you this time!" Ethan smiled and thanked him.
"It was Remington's order to follow your lead; otherwise, I wouldn't dare to mess around with you like this!" Lysander shook his head with a wry smile.
"How do you feel now?" Ethan probed.
"I don't feel anything, just like usual. Do you mean you haven't cured me yet?" Lysander was stunned and then asked with a strange expression.
"I mean, do you feel anything in your body's energy center?" Ethan reminded him.
"Are you saying you've already activated my body's energy center?" Lysander's eyes widened in surprise as he tried to sense the energy flow in his lower abdomen.
However, after a long time, he still felt nothing different, just like before.
"I really don't feel anything!" After several attempts to sense the energy center, Lysander said dejectedly.
"This isn't the place to talk. Let's go back to the Walker family and discuss this further!"
Ethan reminded him and then signaled Lysander to get out of bed.
Dorian and Caspar, who were waiting at the door, saw Ethan coming out with Lysander. Instantly, a glint of anger flashed in their eyes.
Even though they knew it was all Ethan's doing, they never expected it to be so easy for Ethan to do this but so hard for them. This was really embarrassing for them.
"I've done what I promised. I'm taking Lysander with me now. If there's anything else, we can discuss it later. Don't forget to clear out the Skyline Center for me within three days!" Ethan smiled at Dorian and reminded him before leaving.
"Stop!" Dorian shouted angrily.
"What? Do you plan to keep us here?" Ethan raised an eyebrow and asked.
"Since you've gotten what you wanted and Lysander is fine, shouldn't you release Kenny as well?" Dorian reminded with a grim face.
"So it's about Kenny. Don't worry. The military will give you an explanation. But the proper procedures must be followed. The person isn't in my hands, so how can I release him? I believe as long as this matter has nothing to do with Kenny, the military will release him!" Ethan chuckled indifferently.
"I'll give you three days, too. If I don't see Kenny in three days, you'll know the consequences of deceiving me!" Dorian warned, ignoring Ethan's words.
"I kindly request your patience for three days!" Ethan's smile gradually faded, implying that Kenny wouldn't be released until the last moment. With that, he left with Lysander.
"He is going too far! He's clearly trying to keep Kenny in the military for three more days!" Caspar fumed as she watched Ethan's back.
"Enough, it's good enough that he can come back in three days. When Kenny returns, take him back to the Salvador family!" Dorian snorted.
Caspar had no objections and silently agreed. She also wanted Kenny to stay away from Ethan to avoid being manipulated again!
