Chapter 432 A Sudden Change
Ethan scanned the area and casually walked back to Angela and Billy, who were still in shock.
It was like the two thousand soldiers who had collapsed had nothing to do with him.
"What did you just do?" Angela asked, her voice trembling with excitement as Ethan approached.
"I helped them open their Sea of Energy," Ethan replied nonchalantly.
"You already did it?" Angela exclaimed, surprised.
"Yeah, using silver needles on so many people would be too much hassle, so I just used my fists to speed things up! Plus, it helps them get used to taking hits," Ethan nodded seriously.
"Aren't you worried you might hit too hard and cause problems?" Angela asked, staring at Ethan in disbelief.
"Afraid of what? Did you forget I'm a miracle doctor? As long as they're still breathing, I can guarantee they'll be fine! Don't worry, they'll be okay after half an hour," Ethan assured confidently.
"As long as they're okay, that's good!" Billy wiped the cold sweat from his forehead and nodded repeatedly.
Even though he knew Ethan might have some unconventional methods for training these soldiers, this kind of training was unheard of. Only someone like him could pull it off!
After all, no Half-Step Grandmaster would come to a military camp.
"Do you have any other tasks for me? If not, can I consider today's mission complete?" Ethan asked, changing the subject.
"What do you plan to do next for their training?" Billy quickly asked when he heard Ethan hinting at leaving.
"From now on, it's up to them. I've already given Angela the content for the subsequent training. You can consult her for the next steps," Ethan said seriously.
"When did you give it to me?" Angela asked, puzzled.
"Didn't I give you some palm techniques before? Have them practice those first, then combine them with the mental techniques I gave you. Whoever can sense their energy first will be considered to have started. Once a group of them has developed superpowers, contact me for the next training plan," Ethan explained calmly.
"You mean I should give them what you gave me?" Angela asked in disbelief, thinking those were Ethan's special care for her.
"Angela, since you've already learned Mr. Wilson's martial arts, you can't keep it to yourself. You have to share it with everyone!" Billy's eyes lit up, and he quickly reminded Angela.
"I know. I'll write down the palm techniques and mental techniques and distribute them to everyone," Angela glared at Ethan, feeling suffocated with anxiety but couldn't refuse Billy's request..
"I probably won't need to come back for a while. Please tell Norman that I've fulfilled my promise. I'll help when I can, but don't bother me unless it's necessary," Ethan said firmly, leaving no room for refusal.
"I'll let Norman know," Billy said, feeling a bit awkward.
Angela frowned, not expecting Ethan to be so cold.
What did he mean by not bothering him unless necessary?
"That's it. Since you never cared about me as a master anyway, you're not my disciple anymore. No need to feel conflicted," Ethan said, addressing Angela.
Angela felt a strange sense of unfamiliarity with the serious Ethan in front of her, like the distance between them was growing.
"Are you trying to distance yourself from us?" Angela asked, a hint of sadness in her eyes.
"Why draw such clear lines? At least we'll still be friends when we meet again. Tell Norman I'll visit him when I return to Everglow City," Ethan said, turning and walking out of the camp.
"Angela, what does he mean?" Billy asked, confused.
"I'll go see him off," Angela said, taking a deep breath and running towards her Jeep.
As Ethan walked out of the camp, he thought about Jessie's advice from the previous day. Not getting too involved with the national military might indeed be a good thing for him.
Angela's Jeep suddenly stopped in front of Ethan, making him halt.
"Get in. I'll take you back," Angela said calmly.
"Alright," Ethan nodded and got into the back seat this time.
The ride was silent until Angela stopped the car in front of Ethan's house.
"Thanks," Ethan said politely and got out of the car.
"Wait," Angela called out as he was about to walk into the villa.
"Is there something else?" Ethan asked, turning around.
"Even though I don't like you much, you've taught me a lot. No matter what, you deserve to be my master. I hope you'll come back to teach us again," Angela said, then rolled up the window and drove away.
Ethan watched the Jeep's taillights disappear, a smile appearing on his face. Maybe Angela wasn't so unreasonable after all.
"Why are you standing at the door smiling like an idiot?" Jessie asked, looking at Ethan in surprise as she walked out of the villa.
"Nothing. I just got back. Is everyone out?" Ethan nodded and entered the villa.
"Only Alice is home. You brought her back yesterday but haven't given her any other arrangements. Since we're going to the Wilson Villa in a few days, why not let her take a break and arrange her work after we return? I've also told Chloe and the others to wrap up their work and prepare for the trip to the Wilson Villa," Jessie said just as Alice walked out of the villa.
"Ethan, you're back so soon? I thought I'd have to wait for you for a long time!" Alice said happily, hugging his arm.
"I have to go out again later. Do you want to come with me?" Ethan asked with a smile.
Jessie watched them and smiled.
