Chapter 529 Another Trouble Caused by a Woman

The dude lucky enough to snag the seat next to Angela was Marlon Baker, a young guy in a suit and glasses, totally giving off that programmer vibe. He was so jittery sitting next to Angela that he had no clue what to do with his hands and feet, his eyes darting around and sneaking peeks at her before quickly looking away.

Ethan turned his head to check out the scene and couldn't help but find it hilarious. He started making goofy faces at the slightly annoyed Angela, which made her roll her eyes in frustration.

"How about we swap seats?" Right then, Stanley Nelson, also in a suit but clearly rocking designer brands, waved his Rolex-clad wrist and asked Marlon.

"But this is my seat. Why don't you sit in your own seat?" Marlon had zero intention of giving up his spot. Even if he was too shy to look directly at Angela, sneaking glances at her was a treat.

Stanley was obviously into Angela too, his eyes constantly checking her out. Angela immediately frowned, turning her head away in annoyance.

"How about I give you six hundred bucks to switch seats with me?" Stanley whipped out his wallet, pulled out some cash, and handed it to Marlon.

"Alright then." The thick stack of cash made Marlon's eyes light up. Without a second thought, he grabbed the money, picked up his laptop bag, and moved to Stanley's original seat.

Stanley plopped down next to Angela with a grin, trying to catch her eye.

Ethan watched the whole thing, barely holding back his laughter. He was curious to see how Angela would deal with this sleazy dude.

"Miss, are you also heading to Phukettle? What a coincidence! Don't you think we have some sort of fate?" Stanley quickly started chatting up Angela.

"I don't make a habit of talking to strangers," Angela shot back coldly, not even looking at Stanley, her tone dripping with disgust.

"Well, if we chat, we won't be strangers anymore, right? It's a six-hour flight to Phukettle. It'd be so lonely without someone to talk to." Stanley, clearly used to getting turned down by pretty women, kept smiling nonchalantly, flashing his Rolex to show off.

"Then find someone else to talk to. I need to rest." Angela didn't even glance at him, closing her eyes and turning towards the window.

Stanley looked embarrassed, a flash of anger crossing his face. Angela's cold attitude was clearly something he couldn't handle.

"Can you at least tell me your name? I'm Stanley Nelson, I own an import-export company. How about we just be friends?" Angela had clearly underestimated Stanley's persistence. He kept pushing.

Angela opened her eyes, about to shut Stanley down, but then she saw Ethan looking back at her with a smug expression. She couldn't help but get pissed.

"Honey, someone's hitting on your wife. You gonna do something about it?" Angela suddenly stood up and pouted at Ethan, complaining.

In a flash, everyone in the cabin turned to look at Ethan, and even he was caught off guard. Angela was being savage. He hadn't expected her to clap back so fast.

He was about to argue that they weren't actually married, but seeing Angela's fierce look, he swallowed his words. He could already picture her painting him as a heartless jerk who ditched his wife and kid if he denied it. He was stuck.

If he played along and ignored Stanley's moves, he could only imagine what everyone around him would think!

Ethan never thought he'd be in a situation where Angela's revenge left him speechless.

"Of course, I'll handle it." Ethan gritted his teeth and stood up.

Seeing his aggressive stance, not only Stanley but even Angela looked nervous.

"What are you gonna do? I was just asking for her name, trying to be friends." Stanley felt the heat from Ethan and his voice wobbled.

"Hitting on my wife while I'm not around? What do you think I'm gonna do?" Ethan sneered, grabbing Stanley by the collar and yanking him from his seat.

"Ethan, don't do anything crazy. We're on a plane." Angela hadn't expected Ethan to act so fast and stood up to stop him.

"How am I being crazy? Didn't you just tell me to handle it? Now that I am, you're not happy?" Ethan raised an eyebrow, asking in confusion.

"Sir, what are you doing? Let him go immediately," At that moment, the air marshal rushed over, ordering Ethan to stop.

"He was hitting on my wife. I'm teaching him a lesson." Ethan turned to the air marshal with a grin.

"You can't handle it this way. Let him go, and we'll take care of it." The air marshal sighed in relief and tried to calm Ethan down.

"I didn't know she had a husband. You were sitting so far apart, how was I supposed to know?" Stanley cried out in defense.

"So, you admit you were trying to hit on my wife?" Ethan raised an eyebrow and sneered.

"Let him go first!" Angela rushed over, pushing Ethan's arm down and putting Stanley back in his seat.

"You feel sorry for him?" Ethan stared at Angela.

"Don't talk nonsense. I'm just afraid you'll get into trouble." Angela was almost furious with Ethan.

"Don't worry, I just want to teach him a lesson." Ethan chuckled, then patted Stanley's face, pointing to his original seat. "That's my seat. Now you know what to do?"

"Yes, yes." Stanley nodded quickly. He was just a blustering upstart, and facing someone like Ethan who could easily overpower him, he was lucky not to wet his pants.

"Get lost," Ethan commanded coldly.

Stanley, trembling, stumbled towards the front seat.
