Chapter 414 The Death of Arnold

"Mr. Wilson, I've got the target's cell signal. He's heading your way!" Alexander's voice crackled through the phone.

Ethan was once again impressed by this top hacker's skills.

"That was quick! You never let me down," Ethan praised.

"At his pace, he'll be near you in about twenty minutes. If you need to prep anything, do it now," Alexander chuckled and reminded.

"No rush. I'm just gonna have a chat, talk about life, and get back what he stole," Ethan chuckled.

He thought this would drag on for another day or two, waiting for Spencer and Arnold to clash. But Herong's sudden appearance was a big surprise!

"Wait, Mr. Wilson, the target just stopped!" Alexander's voice suddenly sounded surprised.

"Any idea why?" Ethan frowned.

"He's on a road to the suburbs. Not sure why he stopped. I'll check for nearby surveillance," Alexander said, then went silent, the sound of rapid typing filling the phone.

It could be an external reason, or maybe the target sensed something and changed his mind.

Either way, it was an unexpected twist, making Ethan frown deeply.

"Got it. Something's off, Mr. Wilson. There's a fierce fight on that road. I can't tell which car is the target, but one side's surrounded!" Alexander's voice came back, shocked.

Ethan's heart skipped a beat. He suddenly remembered Spencer was secretly tracking Arnold and his men!

How could he have overlooked Spencer?

"I know what's happening. Send the location to my phone. I'm heading over now!" Ethan instructed Alexander and quickly hung up.

"What happened?" Alice asked quickly.

"I have an urgent matter and need to go out. Stay in the palace and wait for me," Ethan instructed Alice and ran out of the castle.

"I'll call the guards to let you through!" Lilia quickly cleared the way for Ethan.

But Ethan didn't drive. He headed straight to the location Alexander sent.

At close range, nothing could match Ethan's ability to teleport instantly.

Ethan left the palace so fast that no one noticed.

"Tell me, where is it?" On the roadside, now a battlefield, Arnold, covered in blood, was kicked into the grass by Spencer, who asked coldly.

"I don't know what you're talking about!" Arnold glared at Spencer, denying he had the hard drive.

"Think I can't get it without your help?" Spencer sneered and waved someone over.

A woman stepped into view, and Arnold's eyes widened in shock. It was Anna, his most loyal subordinate.

"The box is in the car, but it needs Arnold's iris and fingerprint to open," Anna said, handing Spencer a password box without even glancing at Arnold.

"If you don't wanna lose your fingers or your eyes, you'd better cooperate," Spencer warned with a sinister smile.

"Even if you get the hard drive, you won't have the password!" Arnold gritted his teeth.

"That's not your concern," Spencer said, signaling to Anna, who handed Arnold the box.

Arnold was furious but helpless. He never expected Anna to betray him.

Madryd's spies were everywhere!

To save his fingers and eyes, Arnold had to open the box.

These boxes had self-destruct mechanisms. If forced open, the contents would be destroyed.

Despite his caution, Arnold fell victim to his own people.

"The hard drive is secured. Now for the password. Ethan and Wade are already in Herong's hands. Ethan's a bit tricky," Anna said, standing up with the hard drive.

"Just a Half-Step Grandmaster. After Ethan caused that scene at my office, I hired one too! If Herong's smart, he'll know who to serve," Spencer snorted coldly.

As he finished, a figure emerged from the darkness: Blair Griffin, a young man in a black cloak.

Blair's ghostly appearance made Arnold's face change and surprised Anna.

"If Herong dares to mess with me, I'll make him regret ever being born!" Blair's words were chilling.

"Let's move out!" Spencer ordered, and everyone returned to the cars.

Arnold sighed in relief, but as they were leaving, Anna shot him without looking back.

Arnold's eyes widened as he felt the hot pain in his chest, and he fell into the roadside weeds.
