Chapter 508 SA Guild
Dorian's words made Ethan and the others hesitate.
The worst-case scenario would be that after they took the crystal, the defense mechanism would collapse. This was inevitable, and they would have to leave through the entrance.
However, there was also a possibility that a new passage would appear. After all, someone like Ethan, who could easily break the defense mechanism, was rare. Once the defense mechanism was broken, there was a chance of discovering the entrance to the secret realm.
"If the defense mechanism breaks and we still can't find the entrance to the secret realm, maybe it's just not meant to be. But at least you'll have two crystals, so it won't be a wasted trip," Dorian patted Ethan on the shoulder to comfort him.
"Are you worried that this secret realm is related to your father?" Elmer clearly understood what Ethan was thinking. He knew Ethan came here in such a hurry, maybe just because of the secret realm.
At that moment, the previously calm red crystal suddenly trembled, immediately catching the attention of the four.
At that moment, Ethan noticed a red pill flying out from the crack in the core of the defense mechanism. He asked, "What is that?"
"That's it. That's the kind of pill! It looks like a fruit, and there's writing on it," Asura Bloodhand shouted excitedly upon seeing the pill.
Ethan immediately caught the pill in his hand and saw that it was labeled "Vitality Vortex Pill."
"Vitality Vortex Pill? How is it different from the one I had last time? This is a real pill," Asura Bloodhand exclaimed.
"This is the Vitality Vortex Pill that cleanses the body? Taking it can directly elevate a Half-Step Grandmaster to the master level, but it's not very useful for those above the master level." Elmer glanced at Ethan, thinking that this pill might have been specially prepared for him.
"You know this pill?" Ethan raised an eyebrow and asked.
"I read about it in ancient texts, but no one in this era can make the Vitality Vortex Pill anymore. Even the so-called alchemists of Celestia Vale can only make the most basic pills," Elmer explained calmly.
Hearing this, Ethan put the Vitality Vortex Pill away.
"You're not going to use it yourself?" Dorian asked curiously.
Ethan shook his head slowly and said, "I never planned to rely on pills to break through, and I'm not in a hurry. Maybe it will have other uses."
Dorian immediately showed interest in the pill, asking, "Why don't you sell it to me?"
"You want it for Kenny, right?" Ethan asked, having seen through Dorian's intentions. Kenny was already a Half-Step Grandmaster, and taking the Vitality Vortex Pill would elevate him to the master level, so it was no wonder Dorian was tempted.
"Name your price." Dorian smiled awkwardly.
Ethan shook his head. "I have other uses for this pill. If I can get another one, I wouldn't mind selling it to you as a favor."
Hearing this, Dorian looked disappointed, but the pill was originally Ethan's, and he was just here to help. If Ethan didn't want to sell it, he couldn't force him.
"Look, there seems to be something else inside," Elmer pointed to the red crystal and reminded Ethan.
Ethan immediately leaped to the core crack of the defense mechanism, his eyes lighting up.
"I knew it. There's another passage here," Ethan said, grabbing the red crystal.
The defense mechanism lost its energy support from the crystal, and the entire space began to shake violently, triggering another earthquake.
At that moment, a huge vortex appeared at the core of the defense mechanism. Ethan signaled to Elmer and the others and dove into the vortex.
Elmer and the others exchanged glances and followed without hesitation.
Moments later, the four emerged from the vortex, finding themselves in a forest with a towering mountain ahead of them.
Seeing this, Asura Bloodhand shouted excitedly, "A secret realm, it's really a secret realm." He hadn't expected to find the place he'd been searching for years so easily with Ethan's help.
"The aura here is even stronger than inside the defense mechanism, comparable to Tiger Mount and Celestia Vale," Elmer said in surprise.
"What is this place?" Dorian asked, curiously observing the surroundings but finding no signs of people or buildings.
"The space behind us is restricted, and the only way is up the mountain, just like Tiger Mount," Ethan said thoughtfully after touching the space barrier behind them.
"This is a secret realm, not an independent world, so it's not surprising that it has an end," Elmer reminded them with a smile.
"Let's go up and see. The mountain should give us answers." Ethan took a deep breath and led the group up the mountain.
Soon, they reached a platform halfway up, with a stone tablet ahead.
"SA Guild!" Seeing the inscription, Ethan's eyes widened in surprise.
"This is the SA Guild you mentioned. Does that mean the ancient texts Matthew found were really from this secret realm?" Elmer's tone grew excited.
"Let's go," Ethan said, leading the way to the mountaintop.
From halfway up, they saw many buildings, mostly small courtyards, seemingly residences, but all empty and looted, leaving nothing but the houses.
After a quick search, they headed to the grand gate at the mountaintop.
There stood several connected buildings, grand and majestic, exuding an aura of solemnity. Just standing before the building, Ethan felt a heavy pressure.
"Circulatory Palace," They headed to the tallest and central building, and Ethan read the inscription aloud.
"This secret realm is deserted, but I wonder if there's anything left inside the hall?" Elmer sensed the surroundings but found nothing, speaking to Ethan with a hint of helplessness.
Ethan stepped to the door, hesitated, and then pushed it open.
Inside, the hall was magnificent and splendid. However, despite the grandeur, it was empty, not even a chair in sight. Their footsteps echoed in the vast hall.
"There's nothing here." Ethan frowned, feeling somewhat disappointed.
Seeing the SA Guild halfway up the mountain, he thought he had finally found clues about Matthew, but reality seemed to play a trick on him.
"There's an Archives Tower in the back." At that moment, Elmer opened a side door and saw a four-story building in the courtyard behind.
"Archives Tower?" Ethan's heart skipped a beat. He quickly joined Elmer, glanced at the building, and hurried over.
