Chapter 230 Paying a Visit

At this moment, Ethan was wandering around with a few girls and the young members of the Harris family near the Ashford family. He wasn't stingy with anyone, promising each of them a gift. He would pay for the gift as long as it was sold in this building.
Lucien followed behind Ethan, along with members of the Harris family, brimming with excitement.
Although the Harris family was wealthy, Carlos had set strict rules against extravagance. There is a strict limit to their pocket money, and except for a few core apprentices like Lucien, the others' spending was even less than that of ordinary rich kids.
Ethan's promise to buy them gifts, whatever they wanted, naturally thrilled them.
"Ethan, you didn't bring us to Skyline Center just to shop, right?" After the shopping, Lucien looked at the limited edition watch on his wrist and asked, his mind racing.
"What do you think I brought you here for?" Ethan asked back, half-smiling as he stared at Lucien.
"This is the Ashford family's territory. You bringing us here must have something to do with the Ashford family, right?" Lucien didn't know Ethan's plans but felt things weren't that simple.
"Don't overthink it. Please keep all the gifts I gave you; I won't take them back. But after you leave here, remember to do something for me," Ethan said mysteriously.
"What do you want us to do?" Lucien asked curiously, not expecting Ethan to have another agenda.
"It's simple. After you leave Skyline Center..." Ethan put his arm around Lucien's neck and whispered in his ear.
"What kind of trouble are you stirring up now? Lucien and the others don't have your skills; don't push them into a pit!" Sarah frowned and pulled Ethan aside, reminding him discontentedly.
"Don't worry. I won't sell them out!" Ethan shook his head, amused, and handed Lucien a bank card, continuing to instruct, "Remember, first go back to the Harris family and relay my message to your grandfather. Then do as I just told you!"
"Understood!" Lucien initially had some concerns, but hearing that he had to inform Carlos first, he readily accepted the bank card and agreed.
After Lucien and the others left, Sarah, still suspicious, asked, "What exactly did you ask them to do? And why involve Carlos?"
"I asked them to stir things up! Just wait and watch the show!" Ethan teased with a half-smile.
"Fine, don't tell me then. I don't care to know!" Sarah rolled her eyes at his pretense and continued shopping with Chloe.
Lucien and his group, carrying Ethan's gifts, returned to the Harris family and immediately went to see Carlos.
Half an hour later, Lucien led them out again, heading to the Ashford family's largest mall in Everglow City.
The Skyline Center mall was leased out and not owned by the Ashford family.
But the mall Lucien and the others were heading to now was a genuine Ashford family property, the most famous and largest shopping plaza in the Elm Street commercial center.
Upon arriving at Elm Street, Lucien immediately called Ethan.
After receiving Lucien's call, Ethan smiled and said to the three girls still shopping, "It's boring to keep shopping down here. Let's go upstairs and take a look!"
Seeing Ethan pointing upstairs, Sarah and Chloe were immediately surprised.
"Are you planning to go to Zenith Group? How could they possibly let us up there?" Chloe hesitated, reminding him.
"If it were that easy, it wouldn't be interesting!" Ethan smiled and then led the way to the elevator.
Skyline Center had eight high-rise elevators. Four were for public use below the 12th floor, while the other four were dedicated elevators for Zenith Group employees and management, reaching floors above the 12th.
Moreover, security guards were stationed there. Without an appointment or an employee badge, strangers couldn't get into the elevator, let alone someone like Ethan, whom the Ashford family already blocked.
As soon as the security guards at the front desk saw Ethan leading three girls toward the elevator, they immediately blocked their way.
"Do you have any business here? These elevators are for Zenith Group only and are not open to the public!" The lead security guard frowned, looking at Ethan with a wary expression. It was clear that they had been instructed from above and knew that Ethan was unwelcome!
"I'm here to see your chairman," Ethan said with a slight smile, getting straight to the point.
"Don't be ridiculous. Do you think you can see our chairman whenever you want? Don't cause trouble here, or we'll have to ask you to leave!" The security guard sneered and warned unceremoniously.
"Don't get upset. I'm sincerely here to visit your chairman and discuss a business deal. If you turn us away and it delays important matters, can you bear the responsibility if your chairman blames you?" Ethan reminded him calmly.
The security guard's eyes flashed with hesitation. "Unless you have an appointment or the chairman agrees to see you, it doesn't matter what you say!"
The security guard was diligent and not easily swayed by Ethan's words, maintaining a businesslike stance.
"Ethan, what are you trying to do? Dorian might not even be at Zenith Group. How could we possibly get up there? He wouldn't agree to see us!" Sarah immediately pulled Ethan aside to remind him.
"Alright. It seems I have no choice but to call your chairman myself!" Ethan sighed helplessly, then took out his phone and dialed Dorian's number. Lucien gave him the number he got from Carlos.
Hearing that Ethan wanted to call Dorian, the security guard immediately frowned with an astonishing look.
Dorian was not at Zenith Group at the time. He rarely managed or intervened in the group, leaving it to professional managers. He wouldn't come to Skyline Center unless necessary.
Kenny was handling his discharge paperwork. After his superpower recovery, he was no longer in danger and had requested to be discharged. Caspar and Dorian were accompanying Kenny and preparing to leave the hospital when Dorian received Ethan's call.
"Ethan? You called me?" Seeing an unfamiliar number, Dorian didn't think much and answered. But hearing Ethan's voice, he was somewhat surprised.
Caspar and Kenny, upon hearing that the caller was Ethan, both had their faces darkened.
"Sorry, Dorian. I know you probably don't want to hear my voice right now, but I have something important to discuss. Can we meet?" Ethan's light laughter came through the phone.
"You want to see me?" Dorian was somewhat surprised.
"That's right. I'm at the entrance of Zenith Group, but your security guards stopped me. Ashford family, a guest is a guest; there's no reason to turn me away, right?" Ethan asked with a smile.
"I'm not at Zenith Group. If you want to see me, come to the hospital. I'll wait for you for ten minutes!" Dorian was utterly puzzled, not understanding Ethan's purpose for wanting to meet. He pondered, 'Doesn't he fear that I might take the opportunity to harm him?'
