Chapter 353 Another Seven Days

As soon as Jessie finished talking, Phoenix sprang into action. He clasped his hands, and a golden light shot toward the black demonic aura around Asura Bloodhand.

Asura Bloodhand, mid-air, paused and sneered. "Phoenix, you haven't improved in a decade. If this is all you've got, step aside and watch me take the beads from him!" His tone dripped with contempt.

Phoenix's majestic light trembled slightly before the demonic aura snuffed it out. The crowd on the mountaintop gasped in surprise. They were eager to see who was stronger after ten years, but no one expected Phoenix's attack to be so easily neutralized.

"Phoenix, you're no match for me. Stay out of my way," Asura Bloodhand warned coldly.

"A decade ago, I didn't hunt you. I hoped the elders would spare you, but you've only gotten worse," Phoenix said, shaking his head with a bitter smile.

"If you had attacked me back then, I wouldn't show mercy now. If you stop me again, don't blame me for being ruthless!" Asura Bloodhand sneered and charged at Ethan.

"Phoenix!" Jessie shouted, grabbing Phoenix in panic.

"Don't worry," Phoenix said, raising his hand and shaking his head, looking unconcerned.

"Is Phoenix really no match for Asura Bloodhand?" the onlookers wondered.

"No way. Phoenix can't be afraid of him."

"He must be running for his life. Who'd risk it for someone unrelated?"

"Is Phoenix really unable to defeat Asura Bloodhand?"

Phoenix stopped, causing the crowd to buzz with speculation.

In mid-air, Asura Bloodhand halted about thirty feet from Ethan. His demonic aura hit an invisible barrier, blocked thirty feet away.

"It looks like Asura Bloodhand will win. I didn't expect Phoenix to be so outmatched," Ronald said, shocked. The earlier exchange made him think Phoenix was far weaker.

"Didn't you notice Phoenix didn't try to stop him?" Dorian, nearby, frowned, feeling uneasy.

"Are you kidding? Does he expect Ethan to handle Asura Bloodhand?" Ronald's face changed at the thought.

"We don't know Ethan's current situation. If Phoenix is acting this way, he must have a reason. What worries me is that Asura Bloodhand might fall to Ethan," Dorian said seriously.

"That's impossible! Ethan was just a Half-Step Grandmaster half a day ago. How could he defeat a master-level expert overnight?" Ronald was stunned.

Dorian stayed silent, eyes fixed on the scene.

Asura Bloodhand tried multiple times to break through the barrier around Ethan and grab the beads, but he failed each time. The barrier seemed unbreakable.

"What is this?!" Asura Bloodhand's furious voice echoed as his demonic aura attacked the barrier, but it was useless.

Seeing this, Jessie, who had been tense, finally relaxed and glanced at Phoenix. Could this be his doing?

Asura Bloodhand attacked the barrier for an hour with no success. Eventually, he sat down cross-legged opposite Ethan, waiting for him to wake up, ready to outlast him.

As the stalemate continued, more people arrived, including members of the four major families and some reclusive families. Elders from Celestia Vale also showed up.

Experts from the Miller and Harris families, including Munro and Clarence, arrived, most concerned about Ethan. With their arrival, Jessie had more protection, and no one dared to target her anymore.

Jessie didn't explain much. Everyone just wanted to know how long Ethan would sit like this. No one expected him to sit for seven days and nights!

Because of Asura Bloodhand's presence, even though more masters arrived, no one dared to act rashly. No one risked their life to help Ethan deal with Asura Bloodhand. More importantly, since the people from Celestia Vale hadn't acted, it wasn't anyone else's turn.

"It's been seven days. How long are these two going to stay up there?"

"Who knows? The other six elders from Celestia Vale are said to be on their way and should arrive today!"

"There's going to be a good show soon. Do you think the elders from Celestia Vale can handle Asura Bloodhand?"

"I'm afraid not. It might end in mutual destruction!"

Such discussions buzzed among the onlookers. Most were just there for the spectacle. Even if they coveted Ethan's beads, they knew they stood no chance.

"I wanted you to return to Emerald Valley, but you woke up early in Everglow City, making me deal with the mess after you!" A voice echoed in the void. Everyone looked up to see Francis slowly approaching in mid-air.
