Chapter 586 The Final Decision

Ethan didn't jump to respond right away. Instead, he took a moment to look around at everyone else.

Vincenzo and Andrea exchanged a look and then said, "We're on board too. These hidden sects should've been dealt with ages ago."

"Yeah, it's not about whether we should act anymore; it's about when. I'm in," said the folks who were against it before, now changing their tune.

Before long, the plan to go after the hidden sects got the green light from everyone.

"Don't sweat it about Everglow. With all of us backing you, there won't be any big problems. We're counting on you this time," Norman said, looking at Ethan with high hopes. Ethan had never let him down before.

Ethan had this knack for handling tough situations like a pro.

"Alright, I'll head out then. I'm going back to Novaria tomorrow to visit the ML Guild. You guys wait for my update in Everglow," Ethan said, nodding in satisfaction before leaving.

There was no point in sticking around. Things had taken a turn he hadn't expected, and it was starting to get a bit out of hand.

After getting home and having dinner with Angela, Ethan brought up his plan to head back to Novaria the next day.

"Leaving already? Why not stay a few more days?" Cynthia asked, a bit disappointed.

"Mom, Ethan's got important stuff to handle; he can't wait," Angela explained.

"If it's important, then go for it," Lorenzo chimed in calmly.

Angela suddenly remembered something and said, "I have something to share too."

"You're not going on a mission, are you?" Cynthia asked, immediately on edge.

Every time Angela went on a mission, Cynthia would get anxious. Angela never spilled the details, but if she didn't come home for a night and couldn't be reached, it was mission time for sure.

"No missions, but I'm planning to go to Novaria with Ethan. I should be back in a few days," Angela said, glancing at Ethan with a bit of guilt.

"You're going to Novaria too? To meet his mom?" Cynthia's eyes lit up.

"Yeah, since Angela and I are official now, it's time she met my mom. Don't worry, I'll take good care of her." Ethan promised earnestly.

"Awesome! One day when I have some free time, I'll head to Novaria to meet your mom too. Make sure to take some gifts tomorrow. Oh, there's a box of nutritional supplements in my room. Angela, grab it and take it with you," Cynthia said, getting all excited as she hurried off to fetch a beautifully packaged box.

"No need for that. You should keep it. My mom's a martial artist; she's in great shape and doesn't need this." Ethan chuckled.

"It's your first visit; you can't go empty-handed. It's not about the gift's value, but the thought that counts." Cynthia insisted.

"It was my first time visiting here, and I didn't bring anything either. Let's not be so formal, okay?" Ethan said with a wry smile.

"Yeah, I think Ethan's right. Neither of our families lacks anything, so let's skip the formalities," Lorenzo agreed, backing Ethan up.

Ethan gave Angela a look, and they headed upstairs.

"You didn't expect the hidden sects behind the ML Guild to be so complicated, did you?" Angela asked softly, pushing Ethan onto her bed, sitting on his lap, and wrapping her arms around his neck.

"Do you think I wouldn't dare to take on the ML Guild? If they mess with you, they're in for it," Ethan said seriously, raising an eyebrow.

Angela felt touched hearing this. "But I don't want you taking risks for me," Angela said earnestly.

In front of others, whether it was Norman or Andrea, all the reasons Ethan gave were just convenient excuses. His real reason for wanting to take on the ML Guild was Angela. They both knew it, even if things had gotten more complicated than expected.

"Don't worry, it's not just for you anymore. For myself, I have to take on the ML Guild," Ethan said, taking a deep breath, his tone light but firm.

"Then let's get some sleep and head back to Novaria tomorrow," Angela whispered in his ear.

"This is your house. Are you sure you want me to sleep in your room tonight?" Ethan asked with a mischievous grin.

"My parents are eager for grandkids; why should you care?" Angela replied nonchalantly, surprising Ethan with her boldness.

"Wait, are you thinking about boosting your strength?" Ethan quickly caught on to Angela's intention, not letting desire cloud his judgment.

Angela blushed and buried her head in Ethan's chest, whispering, "I just don't want to be a burden to you. I don't want today's situation to happen again."
