Chapter 503 The Seal
The Wilson family council was abolished just because of a single sentence from Ethan. This news quickly overshadowed the mystery of Matthew and became the focal point of all discussions within the Wilson family.
The fact that Brady was escorted to Celestia Vale by Jasper and others seemed to symbolize a significant shift in power. It signaled that the Wilson family had now become Ethan's own, solidifying his unshakable position within the family.
The mere presence of the Shadow Gang made all members of the Wilson family dare not harbor any disloyalty.
That evening, Ethan arranged a banquet within the Wilson Villa and invited Munro and others.
The atmosphere at the banquet was naturally lively and harmonious, with no unpleasant incidents occurring. It seemed that the matters of the Wilson family were perfectly resolved on this day.
However, both Ethan and Elmer, as well as the outwardly calm Jessie, knew very well that the problems of the Wilson family were far from over. Ethan personally saw them off and also had Elmer arrange for experts to escort Chloe and others back to Novaria.
"Aren't you coming back with us?" Chloe asked reluctantly before parting.
"I have something very important to take care of right away. You go back to Novaria first, and I'll come find you once I'm done." Ethan shook his head, not revealing what he was going to do.
"Be careful. We'll all be waiting for you in Novaria," Chloe reminded him one last time before getting into the car.
As he watched everyone leave, the smile on Ethan's face gradually turned into a look of determination.
Jessie and Elmer stood by Ethan's side, and at that moment, Dorian, who was supposed to have left, appeared behind Ethan.
"What’s so mysterious that you had to make me sneak back halfway?" Dorian asked curiously, staring at Ethan's back.
"There is indeed something I need your help with," Ethan said as he summoned the Sun and Moon Beads, opening the passage to the Tiger Mount secret realm.
"You three go in first and find Francis. I'll follow shortly," Ethan said to the three of them.
Elmer and Jessie immediatelyentered the passage directly. Dorian glanced at Ethan and followed them in without asking further.
After sending the three away, Ethan returned to the Wilson Villa and went straight to Zephyr's room.
"Zephyr, can I stick with you from now on?" Logan's voice came from inside the room, clearly trying to curry favor with Zephyr, seemingly afraid that Zephyr might hold a grudge for the things he had told Ethan earlier and seek revenge later.
"I told you, that matter is over. There's no need to mention it again, and you don't need to try to please me. Just go about your business." Zephyr's impatient voice followed.
Logan wanted to say more, but the door opened, and Zephyr threw Logan out of the room.
"Ethan." For a moment, both Zephyr and Logan stared wide-eyed at Ethan, clearly surprised by his sudden appearance at the door.
"You can continue," Ethan said with a smile, touching his nose.
"He annoys me just by being around, always coming to bother me. If it weren't for your sake, I'd really want to beat him up," Zephyr explained helplessly.
"Ethan, you promised to take care of me," Logan reminded Ethan pitifully.
"I don't care about your issues, nor do I have the time. I'm here to inform you that I will be leaving for a while," Ethan said, getting straight to the point.
"Where are you going? Back to Novaria?" Zephyr asked, frowning in surprise.
"I'm going somewhere else. You don't need to ask more. I'm here to inform you that during my absence, you and Beverly will handle the Wilson family's affairs together. Also, mobilize Jayden and Dashiell to complete the corporate reforms before I return," Ethan instructed seriously.
"You want to entrust this to me?" Zephyr was even more surprised.
"I've said it before, I will eventually leave the Wilson family. I don't know how long I can stay as the head. After I leave, the Wilson family will rely on you. You are currently the most capable candidate to be the head, unless you don't want to," Ethan reminded him calmly.
"That's not what I meant. Since you're giving me the opportunity, I will certainly seize it," Zephyr quickly responded.
"That's settled then. It all depends on your performance. If you can manage the Wilson family well sooner, I don't mind handing over the position of head to you earlier," Ethan said with satisfaction.
"I used to not understand why Elmer chose you, but now I do. In every aspect, I'm not as good as you," Zephyr said, taking a deep breath.
"We're all family; we should be united. I also promised to help you become master level, but right now I have more important things to do. Can you wait patiently for a while?" Ethan asked, patting Zephyr on the shoulder with a smile.
"No problem." Zephyr nodded in agreement.
"What about me? Ethan, we're family too. Can you make me master level as well?" Logan asked excitedly.
Ethan and Zephyr exchanged a glance, both seeing the other's twitching mouth.
Neither of them responded to Logan. Zephyr turned and went back to his room, closing the door, while Ethan simply turned and walked away.
"Don't go." Logan tried to chase after him, but Ethan was already out of sight in an instant, far beyond Logan's reach.
Ethan opened the passage and went directly to the Tiger Mount's secret realm.
Since acquiring the Sun and Moon Beads, Ethan felt like he carried a small world with him, a versatile storage space where he could safely store anything.
When Ethan arrived at Breeze Pavilion, Francis was already sitting at the table with Dorian and others, drinking tea.
"Have all the ancient books been sorted?" Ethan asked as he sat down under their gaze.
"They've all been sent to the library. You've done a great service for the ZF Guild this time, but as the leader, it's your duty," Francis said with satisfaction.
"Have you all talked before?" Ethan asked Jessie and Elmer.
"We were waiting for you to speak," Jessie replied, shaking her head.
"Asura Bloodhand is sealed by me under Tranquil Lake at Forgetful Peak," Francis said directly, anticipating what Ethan was about to say.
"Then let's go talk to him," Ethan said, getting up first.
Francis glanced at Jessie and the others and followed Ethan out.
Soon, the five of them arrived at Tranquil Lake. It was a deep, emerald-green pool, seemingly small in surface area but unfathomably deep.
Just by approaching, Ethan and the others could feel the surface of the water rippling.
