Chapter 411 Ethan Was Decisive
"What? Herong's a Half-Step Grandmaster?" Ryan was shocked.
"You didn't know?" Ethan was just as surprised, thinking Herong had kept it well-hidden.
"Not just us, even the Winston family probably doesn't know. I've never heard of them having a Half-Step Grandmaster! And Herong's so young. It's unreal!" Ryan's face showed his disbelief.
"Are you saying the royal family can't even find a Half-Step Grandmaster?" Ethan looked even more confused.
"Honestly, the royal family is just for show now, way past its prime. The only master and two Half-Step Grandmasters in Norway are working for the government!" Ryan shook his head with a helpless smile.
"Ethan, how do you know Herong is a Half-Step Grandmaster?" Lilia asked, astonished.
"Because I am one too!" Ethan replied bluntly.
Before Ryan and Lilia could react, Ethan said seriously, "Lilia, the King's fine now, but I need to treat you the same way!"
"Me? You mean Herong did something to me too?" Lilia didn't get it at first, but then her face went pale.
"Yeah, but your situation's different from Ryan's. Herong left a lot of his aura in you. If he wanted, he could control you and turn you into his puppet!" Ethan explained seriously.
"How do you know?" Lilia's eyes widened in fear.
"When I met you, I sensed a special aura in you. Later, when Herong showed up, I realized it matched his! That's when I got suspicious," Ethan shared.
"Mr. Wilson, you can cure Lilia, right?" Ryan asked anxiously.
"Don't worry, just like before, but it'll take a bit longer." As soon as Ethan finished, his phone buzzed with a text.
Ethan glanced at it, looking surprised.
The message was from Alice, who was in the bathroom!
"Ethan, what's up?" Ryan asked, frowning.
"Nothing, just some unexpected news. But let's focus on treating Lilia first." Ethan put away his phone and shook his head.
It had been over half an hour since Ethan followed Ryan and Lilia into the bedroom. Alice had returned to the living room from the bathroom but hadn't spoken to Herong, keeping a cold expression.
Clearly, Alice's cold demeanor was for Herong to see.
Herong, having achieved his goal, lost interest in Alice, thinking she was just an ignorant woman to Ethan.
He was curious about how Alice would react when Ethan came out.
Just then, footsteps echoed from a side corridor, and soon Ryan and Lilia returned to the living room with Ethan.
Herong suddenly stood up from the sofa, his face turning sour.
He couldn't sense any of his aura in Ryan or Lilia anymore!
Had Ethan removed it?
"Ethan, did it work?" Alice's face lit up with joy as she ran to him, holding his arm affectionately.
This made Herong even angrier!
Even a fool could see Alice had played him!
"Don't you trust me? I've cured Ryan and saved your friend too! You should think about how to thank me!" Ethan laughed heartily, not even glancing at Herong.
"My friend?" Alice was stunned, then looked at Lilia in surprise!
"My body had the same issue as my dad's. Good thing Ethan found out in time, or who knows what would've happened!" Lilia said, glaring angrily at Herong!
"Herong, you should leave. The marriage between you and Lilia is off, and the palace will never welcome you again!" Ryan said to Herong with a blank expression.
If it were an ordinary person, Herong would have been executed by the guards a hundred times over!
But knowing from Ethan that Herong was a Half-Step Grandmaster, Ryan felt powerless!
Could the current royal family afford to offend a Half-Step Grandmaster?
A Half-Step Grandmaster could wipe out the entire royal family!
Pretending nothing happened might be the best way!
"You are indeed not an ordinary person. You did all this, right?" Herong was furious. He hadn't expected his plan to control the royal family, which he had been plotting for nearly half a year, to be so easily thwarted by Ethan!
"Isn't that obvious? Honestly, your methods aren't very clever!" Ethan chuckled indifferently.
"Impossible! My Half-Step Grandmaster aura can't be detected or broken by an ordinary Half-Step Grandmaster. Unless you're at the master level, how could you have this ability?" Herong, almost mad with rage, glared at Ethan and questioned.
"You're so powerful, so why don't we fight? Honestly, your aura is like a boost to me. Just absorbing the aura from the King and Lilia wasn't enough!" Ethan looked unsatisfied. This wasn't an act; besides the part of the aura he transferred back to Ryan, he had completely absorbed the aura from Lilia. The effect was even better than absorbing demonic energy, and the converted super energy had changed slightly, becoming more active!
"You can absorb my aura?" Herong asked in disbelief.
