Chapter 392 It's Not Impossible
This palm technique was from the ZF knack. Even with Angela's talent, she couldn't fully harness its power without the Sun and Moon Beads.
Still, if Angela could learn it, she'd be able to handle most people.
Angela didn't argue. She focused on the mantra, feeling the super energy flow through her. Her face showed surprise and joy.
Ethan wasn't in a rush. He sat on a bench, letting Angela figure it out.
A few minutes later, Angela approached Ethan.
"I think I got the palm technique down. Can you check?" Angela asked confidently.
"Already?" Ethan was surprised. This mantra was different from the one he taught Lysander, and the Rolling Wave Palm wasn't easy. Yet, Angela picked it up quickly.
"I'm not sure. Can you judge?" Angela replied.
"Follow me!" Ethan was curious if Angela was a genius.
He led her to a tree as thick as a person's waist.
"Hit this tree with the palm technique. I'll show you first," Ethan said, striking the tree.
The tree shook, leaves fell, but there was no visible damage.
"That's it?" Angela frowned, disappointed.
"That's it," Ethan said, pulling his hand back.
Angela's eyes widened. She saw a palm-shaped hole in the tree, clear through to the other side!
"Not only wood, I could pierce several inches of steel with this palm," Ethan said proudly.
Angela, who had underestimated Ethan, was now shocked by his strength.
If this palm hit a person, it would be deadly.
"Don't just stand there. Try it!" Ethan reminded her.
"I'll give it a shot," Angela said, snapping out of her daze. She looked at the hole in the tree.
Ethan found it amusing. Angela had a cute side. If she weren't so cold and unreasonable, she might be perfect.
With Ethan's demonstration, Angela took a deep breath and felt confident.
Following the mantra, she controlled the super energy Ethan had left in her and struck the tree.
But something felt off. Her palm still touched the solid trunk; she didn't pierce through it.
She pulled her hand back and saw only a shallow palm print, nothing like Ethan's result.
Angela, always competitive, couldn't accept this and struck again.
But again, just another shallow print.
Determined, she hit the tree a dozen more times, leaving several palm prints, and soon felt her super energy depleting.
"Can you give me more super energy?" Angela asked Ethan, feeling anxious.
Ethan's expression changed. "What do you mean? You just don't know how to use it!"
"I followed your mantra exactly. Why isn't it working like yours?" Angela snapped.
"Let me see," Ethan said, frowning as he examined the tree trunk with the palm prints.
"How is it?" Angela asked nervously.
"Do you want to pierce through the tree like me?" Ethan asked, staring at her.
"If you can do it, why can't I?" Angela retorted, feeling indignant.
"I'm a Half-Step Grandmaster. You're not even a warrior yet. Leaving a palm print shows you have talent. Isn't that enough?"
"Do you mean it?" Angela's eyes lit up.
"You're barely qualified. You have the potential to become a warrior," Ethan nodded, though he was actually envious of her talent.
He hadn't expected Angela to learn so quickly. After teaching her, he returned to his seat, but she had surprised him.
"Can you give me more super energy?" Angela asked again.
"No way. My super energy isn't easy to come by. Do you think my training isn't hard? Even if I give you more, you'll just use it up. Everything depends on you! You already have a warrior's foundation and have felt the power. With hard work, becoming a warrior is just a matter of time," Ethan refused.
It wasn't that he was stingy, but he couldn't spoil Angela. She didn't seem to understand boundaries and would definitely take advantage.
"Don't be so stingy. I got too excited earlier, and there's not much super energy left. I want to feel it again. Just a little more, I promise it's the last time!" Angela pleaded, acting cute.
Ethan found it strange, thinking, 'Angela would do anything to achieve her goal, even acting cute!'
"Stop acting likethat. I'm not used to it," Ethan quickly said.
"So, will you give it to me or not?" Angela glared at him.
"It's not impossible," Ethan's eyes lit up, and he smiled.
"Don't ask for something unreasonable. Don't take advantage of me!" Angela said, immediately wary.
