Chapter 536 Helpless Angela

Just like Ethan said, with her skills, she couldn't stop him from doing squat. Even if he wanted to snag the Grail for himself, she was powerless. Right now, she could only tag along and see what he was up to.

Soon enough, they popped back up on the streets of Lope Town. But a huge crowd was blocking the street entrance, each one giving Ethan and Angela the stink eye.

"It's them. That dude's after the Grail too," Jeffery hollered, pointing at Ethan. He was the same guy who tried to mess with Angela at the bar last night but got his butt handed to him by Ethan.

"Ethan, was this your plan for being so flashy last night?" Angela shot Ethan a glare, her face getting all serious 'cause she could sense a few heavy hitters in the crowd, at least Half-Step Grandmaster or even master level.

"Yup. I said I like to keep things simple." Ethan nodded, then with a flash of golden light in his hand, the Grail appeared.

"The Grail you're all hunting for is right here. Go tell the folks from Cross Christianity to come find me ASAP," Ethan said, holding up the Grail and grinning at the crowd.

Everyone was stunned, but after the shock wore off, they all looked greedy. They didn't expect Ethan to find the Grail so fast and flaunt it like that. But even so, none of them dared to make a move.

They could tell Ethan was no joke. Otherwise, he wouldn't have found the Grail so easily. They also doubted if the Grail in his hand was legit. Plus, Ethan's words made them hesitate even more. They wondered if he was planning to hand the Grail over to Cross Christianity.

"Are you nuts?" Even Angela didn't expect Ethan to pull such a wild stunt. She grabbed his arm and yelled.

"I told you, I'm looking for someone. Don't sweat the rest. Trust me, no one can snatch this thing," Ethan said seriously.

"How'd you find the Grail?" At that moment, Oscar Russell, a one-eyed guy, stepped out from the crowd, pointing at the Grail in Ethan's hand.

"Interested?" Ethan asked with a smirk.

"I think the Grail in your hand is fake. Can I take a look?" Oscar said in a deep voice, though it was clear he didn't even believe his own excuse.

"You really think trash like you can take the Grail from me?" Ethan raised an eyebrow, calling out Oscar's intentions and even comparing him to trash, showing zero respect.

"You're asking for it!" Oscar snapped and charged at Ethan. But he was sent flying back even faster than he charged. Before anyone could blink, Oscar, who had just reached Ethan, was already thrown back, crashing into the crowd and knocking over several people.

"You're too weak." Ethan slowly pulled back his right leg, which he had kicked out at some point, looking bored, like this guy didn't even get his blood pumping.

"Everyone, attack together!" A few of the big shots in the crowd, all Half-Step Grandmasters, exchanged looks and then surrounded Ethan.

Six Half-Step Grandmasters ganging up made Angela nervous. After all, Ethan was just a Half-Step Grandmaster himself.

"You think this Grail's a fake? Let me show you what's up," Ethan sneered, then pumped some serious energy into the Grail.

The six dudes' faces changed instantly, and they froze, clearly spooked by the Grail.

Angela's eyes went wide in surprise as the Grail suddenly lit up with a blinding golden light. Then, the small Grail started growing until it was massive.

The huge Grail floated in mid-air under Ethan's control, spinning slowly, with golden rays of light shooting out, packing some serious energy.

"The Grail is real," The sudden change freaked everyone out, including the six Half-Step Grandmasters, who all hit the ground, pointing at the Grail in mid-air and shouting in shock.

"The Cross Christianity folks are here," someone yelled from the back of the crowd.

Everyone heard this and bolted, scattering like roaches. In no time, the street was empty. Then, a big group of people in white cloaks showed up at the other end of the street, heading straight for Ethan.

Seeing this, Ethan couldn't help but grin. He waved at the Grail, and it slowly shrank back to its original size, landing in his hand.

"You know how to use it?" Angela, now ignoring the Cross Christianity folks, asked Ethan in shock.

"I'll fill you in later. For now, step aside. The people I'm waiting for are here," Ethan said with a smile, glancing at the approaching members of Cross Christianity.

Angela turned her attention to the newcomers, her face getting serious again.

"Hand over the item, and I'll let you and your friend walk away," Raynaur glared at Ethan, warning him coldly.

"Who are you?" Ethan asked with a smirk.

"Raynaur, Captain of the Tenth Squad of the Cross Christianity Guard. I think you should've heard of me," Raynaur licked his dry lips and said in a low voice.

Ethan thought, 'Are all these Cross Christianity folks this full of themselves? Where do they get off thinking everyone should know them?'

"Sorry, I really don't know who you are. But you can let the guy behind you come out and talk to me." Ethan showed no intention of giving Raynaur any respect, pointing at a figure in a white robe behind him.

Raynaur's face twisted in anger, and he turned his cold gaze to Herman behind him. "Do you know him?"

Herman immediately pulled back his hood, looking at Ethan with a surprised expression.
