Chapter 268 The Same Conditions
Zephyr, who left alone, didn't take a car but walked on the street outside the Everglow City hotel. He took out his phone and called Brady.
Soon, the call was connected, but Brady didn't say anything. Only heavy breathing could be heard from the phone, indicating that he was very agitated.
Zephyr knew very well that Brady must have heard about everything that happened at the banquet as soon as it occurred. At this moment, Brady must be furious!
"Dashiell and Logan got into a fight!" Zephyr said calmly.
"Then let them fight it out. Don't try to stop them. It would be best if they both take each other out, so I can have some peace!" Brady was straightforward. He really didn't know how to deal with these two guys!
Brady thought Logan was nothing, as he never expected much from this fool. The only thing that made Logan valuable to Brady was his inheritance rights!
What Brady couldn't accept was that Dashiell, whom he had high hopes for and entrusted with important tasks, had also failed so miserably!
In reality, Brady knew that this failure couldn't be blamed on Dashiell and wasn't even related to him. Not even Brady had anticipated that Beverly would have the guts to betray him at such a critical moment!
Of course, Brady would never admit that he had even the slightest bit of responsibility!
"What about Beverly?" Zephyr asked calmly.
"Don't touch her for now. I'll make sure she pays the cost of betraying me. Keep an eye on Logan for me, and also keep tabs on Dashiell. Inform me immediately if anything happens!" After a long silence, Brady finally instructed slowly.
"Dorian seems to have issues with us. If this isn't handled well, it could be a big problem!" Zephyr reminded him.
"I'll call Dorian personally. You don't need to worry about anything else. Once the Everglow City matter is settled, come back to me. I'll arrange for you!" Brady finished speaking and decisively hung up the phone.
Listening to the beeping sound on the phone, Zephyr put it down, a meaningful, cold smile appearing on his face.
At that moment, a figure suddenly appeared behind Zephyr.
Without turning his head, Zephyr asked calmly, "Elmer, what do you think I should do now?"
"Brady thinks you still have value, so he'll definitely try to keep you. You don't need to worry. Compared to Dashiell, you fit his criteria for useful people better!" A harsh, disdainful voice sounded in Zephyr's ear.
"Whether it's me or Dashiell, we're used as pawns by Brady, just like Logan. Once we lose our value, he'll discard us without hesitation, and it won't be pleasing!" Zephyr laughed self-deprecatingly.
"If you don't want to be manipulated by him, there's another way," Elmer suggested ambiguously.
"Would you do that?" Zephyr finally turned around, raising an eyebrow as he looked directly into Elmer's eyes.
"The same conditions. As long as you agree, you can become the true master of the Wilson Family!" Elmer grinned.
"You must have offered Ethan the same conditions, right?" Zephyr asked, not surprised, with an attempt at smile.
"That's right, so you should cherish this opportunity even more because you're not my only choice!" Elmer nodded, his tone carrying a hint of threat.
"That's right. I'm not your only choice. Besides Ethan, isn't there also Logan? If you offer him the same conditions, I'm sure he would agree without hesitation. Wouldn't that suit you better?" Zephyr sneered.
"Are you mocking me?" Elmer's eyes narrowed, and his voice grew colder.
"I'm just speaking the truth. If you find it unpleasant, then pretend I didn't say anything. As for your offer, I'll consider it," Zephyr said, taking a deep breath and nodding noncommittally.
"Aren't you afraid Ethan will cooperate with me first?" Elmer reminded him.
"I bet he won't!" Zephyr replied confidently with a smile.
Seeing his confident demeanor, Elmer also smiled. But as soon as the smile faded, Elmer's figure disappeared from Zephyr's sight.
In the car back to the villa, Dorian and Kenny remained silent. Dorian had a grim expression, while Kenny acted as if nothing had happened.
"Go back and stay with your mom. Pack your things; you and your mom will leave for the Salvador family tomorrow morning," Dorian instructed Kenny as they arrived at the villa.
"Where are you going?" Kenny asked.
"I have some matters to attend to. Don't wait up for me tonight; I'll be back before morning," Dorian said, then instructed the driver to leave. The car drove away as Kenny watched.
Shortly after Dorian left, another car stopped at the Ashford family's gate. Kenny didn't even enter the house and got into the car, leaving the villa.
"Kenny, you asked me to pick you up. Where are we going?" Magnus asked curiously from the passenger seat.
"Midnight Oasis," Kenny replied flatly.
Magnus's face changed instantly. "Why are you going there at this time? You're not just going to have fun, are you?"
"Just go. Why so many questions? Isn't that the place you guys frequent the most?" Kenny frowned in displeasure. Magnus had to shut up and instructed the driver to head to Midnight Oasis.
"Mr. Ashford, here to play again today?" The two security guards at the entrance immediately recognized Magnus, who was clearly a regular.
"Cut the crap. This is my brother, the eldest son of the Ashford family. I wouldn't dare call myself Mr. Ashford in front of him," Magnus introduced Kenny.
"Oh, I see. please come in!" The security guards' eyes lit up, and they quickly invited them in.
"No need. Get your boss out here. Tell him Kenny is waiting outside," Kenny ordered firmly.
"The boss isn't here today. How about you come another day?" The security guard explained with a troubled expression.
"Your boss may be mysterious, but I know he usually stays at Midnight Oasis. Where else could he be?" Magnus questioned, dissatisfied.
"The boss really isn't here. He left just half an hour ago. If you don't believe me, there's nothing I can do. We're just employees; surely you wouldn't make things difficult for us, right?" The security guard continued helplessly.
Magnus wanted to say more, but Kenny raised his hand to stop him.
"It's fine. I'll wait for him to come back," Kenny said calmly, then returned to the car.
Magnus was puzzled but followed him. The two security guards exchanged glances but continued their duties as if nothing had happened.
