Chapter 486 Beverly's Blockhead

Soon, everything that happened in the grand hall was accurately reported to Brady.

When he heard that Ethan was actually using benefits to buy off these branch families, a deep frown immediately formed on Brady's brow..

"Brady, it seems we underestimated Ethan. He didn't act recklessly as we expected, nor was he overbearing. Instead, he used the most effective method," Herman said and sighed.

"Yeah, he's really smart. He's doing this to show me." Brady nodded in agreement.

"Several branch families have already expressed their support for Ethan's reform to Beverly," Herman added with a bitter smile.

"None of the opposition is tempted?" Brady raised an eyebrow and asked.

"Strangely, Dashiell and his group haven't made any statements, as if they're deliberately watching the fun," Herman said with a slightly uneasy tone.

"That's interesting. Keep an eye on him. As long as Dashiell doesn't side with Ethan, Ethan will have to come to me." Brady furrowed but clearly didn't think Dashiell would support Ethan and didn't take it too seriously.

At this moment, after leaving the Wilson family grand hall, Dashiell immediately found Zephyr.

"Did you hear about what happened in the grand hall?" Dashiell asked urgently as he walked into Zephyr's room.

"I was just outside the hall, so I heard everything. Ethan's move is indeed cunning. He didn't use force but chose to win people over with benefits," Zephyr said expressionlessly, his face revealing nothing of his thoughts.

"If you've really decided to side with Ethan, shouldn't we make a statement soon? At least we should give Ethan a heads-up," Dashiell reminded him anxiously.

"No rush. He gave us three days. Let's wait until after the head's succession ceremony." Zephyr shook his head slowly.

"Then I'll gather a few of them tonight to give them a heads-up. Tomorrow, we'll seize the opportunity to help Ethan, which might yield unexpected results." Dashiell immediately had an idea.

"Let's hope Ethan won't turn on you and will appreciate your sincerity," Zephyr reminded him ambiguously.

"My gut tells me Ethan isn't that kind of person." Dashiell surprisingly spoke up for Ethan.

A flash of malice crossed Zephyr's eyes, but he just squinted and remained silent.

"I'll go prepare. Contact me if anything comes up." Sensing something off in Zephyr's expression, Dashiell sighed inwardly and left without lingering.

"One day, I will reclaim all this glory personally," Zephyr clenched his fists and said through gritted teeth.

After dealing with the branch families, Beverly finally had some free time and noticed that Trevor had been silently standing by her side the whole time.

"Do you find it boring to be with me? You don't have to follow me all the time. No one here would dare to harm me openly," Beverly said, feeling a bit uneasy as she looked at Trevor's blank expression.

"Ethan told me to protect you. It's my task!" Trevor shook his head and responded in a muffled voice.

"Task? Are you only by my side because of a task?" Beverly was stunned and then asked hesitantly.

"I'm not sure." Trevor shook his head in confusion, genuinely unsure of the answer.

"How about I show you around the Wilson Villa?" The atmosphere suddenly became awkward, and Beverly finally came up with an idea, suggesting it to Trevor.

"You can go wherever you like, and I'll protect you." Trevor nodded seriously.

"You're such a blockhead!" Beverly couldn't help but feel amused. Her intuition told her that if she didn't take the initiative, Trevor would never know what to do.

"Blockhead?" Trevor heard Beverly's muttering and raised an eyebrow in surprise.

"Nothing." Beverly suddenly wanted to tease Trevor and asked with a smile, "You said you'd protect me, so tell me, will you protect me for a lifetime?"

"A lifetime? Maybe." Trevor was initially stunned but seemed to find an answer after a moment of hesitation.

"Maybe? That's so reluctant. Do you need Ethan to give you an order to agree?" Beverly raised an eyebrow and asked discontentedly.

"That's not what I meant. Although protecting you is Ethan's task for me, I'm not his subordinate. I don't have to listen to him," Trevor quickly explained, sensing something was off.

"So, even if Ethan doesn't order you, you'll still protect me?" Beverly felt a surge of joy.

"I'm not sure, but I won't let you be in danger. At least, I don't want you to be in danger," Trevor thought momentarily and then seriously explained to Beverly.

"Your serious look is really funny. You know how to talk. Since that's the case, I'll be your tour guide and show you around." Beverly couldn't help but laugh at Trevor's serious expression.

Before Trevor could react, he felt a fragrant scent fill his nose, and Beverly had already linked her arms with his.

As Trevor felt Beverly's body pressed against his, his body immediately stiffened, and he asked in a trembling voice, "What are you doing?"

"It's just linking arms. Why are you so nervous?" Beverly was initially puzzled but then realized, looking at Trevor's bald head.

After all, Trevor was just a young monk who had recently left the monastery. Being so intimately touched by a woman was probably a first for him, if the previous setup couldn't count.

Trevor initially wanted to break free. However, after hearing Beverly's words, he forced himself to endure it. He just felt a bit uncomfortable being so close to a woman, but he didn't reject such intimate contact with Beverly. Instead, he felt an unexpected sensation beginning to spread. That feeling was indescribable, but Trevor knew he seemed to like it.

"Let's go, Trevor!" Beverly laughed lightly at Trevor's awkward expression and led him to the most scenic and unique places in the Wilson Villa.

When Ethan and the others were about to have dinner at the Shadow Gang, Beverly and Trevor finally arrived.

As they walked into the conference hall, Beverly was still linking arms with Trevor, her face filled with joy. However, upon entering the courtyard where Ethan and the others were, she immediately blushed and quickly let go of him, keeping some distance.

The reason was simple: several people were staring at her and Trevor.

Trevor, on the other hand, was completely puzzled by Beverly's sudden reaction. He looked at Ethan and Chloe and couldn't figure out what the problem was. But Beverly's blushing face was so beautiful that he was momentarily stunned.
