Chapter 300 Taking Action Again
Ethan was not worried about Sharon but Gabriella, who would be reluctant to leave Andrew's grand villa. Even though he could now treat Sharon with indifference, he did not wish for them to meet a tragic end.
"Mom, let's go!" Before Gabriella could respond, Sharon said first and then turned away.
Gabriella looked at Ethan with a complex expression for a few seconds, then glanced at Sharon's departing figure. Finally, she gritted her teeth and followed Sharon, leaving the scene as well.
It wasn't until Gabriella and Sharon had completely disappeared from his sight that Ethan turned his gaze to the two beads hovering above Andrew's body.
"Come back, you've had your fill. Aren't you planning to return?" Ethan sighed helplessly, trying to summon the two beads back. However, after a couple of attempts, he found that the Sun and Moon Beads remained motionless.
"I can't just stay here guarding you forever, right?" Ethan felt a sudden urge to go crazy. If these two beads really had intelligence, he would have loved to educate them with a stick!
Greg, standing nearby, found Ethan's exasperation towards the beads quite amusing. However, he knew this was likely Ethan's secret and dared not ask any questions. He quickly took out his phone to contact their people to handle Andrew's situation.
At that moment, the Sun and Moon Beads suddenly became agitated.
Immediately after, the two beads seemed to escape Ethan's control completely and flew off into the distance.
"Hey, where are you going?" Ethan's eyes widened in alarm. He instructed Greg to stay and guard Andrew, then quickly chased after the beads.
When he reached the edge of an artificial lake, Ethan suddenly realized that the beads' aura had completely vanished, and he stared in astonishment.
This was an artificial lake within the villa area, surrounded by empty green belts and lawns. No one was in sight except for the lake in front of him.
But what puzzled Ethan was how the two beads could disappear so mysteriously. Could they have dived into the lake?
Unwilling to give up, Ethan once again used the ZF knack summoning technique to call the Sun and Moon Beads, which frustrated Jesse, who was hiding behind a large tree and desperately sealing the beads.
"Damn it. If this continues, the seal won't hold! I finally got the Sun and Moon Beads. Am I going to fail again?" Muttering softly, Jesse became nervous. Due to Ethan's persistent summoning not far away, the Sun and Moon Beads finally broke free from Jesse's seal and flew up again.
Re-establishing contact with the Sun and Moon Beads, Ethan immediately showed a look of joy. Seeing the two beads flying out from behind a distant tree, he quickly flew forward and retrieved them.
After confirming that the two beads were intact and back under his control, Ethan finally breathed a sigh of relief. He then calmed down and carefully recalled the recent events, his gaze inevitably turning towards the direction from which the beads had flown.
"Aren't you planning to come out?" Ethan narrowed his eyes, his face darkening as he questioned in a harsh tone.
With a look of helplessness, Jesse emerged from behind the tree, showing no sign of guilt. Instead, he walked briskly towards Ethan.
"It's you again. Why do you people from Celestia Vale always resort to such despicable means to steal from others?" Ethan knew it had to be Jesse. This was the third time he had appeared, truly persistent!
"Ethan, I'm doing this for your good. For the sake of the world, what harm is there in stealing?" Jesse shook his head and smiled.
"Isn't it ridiculous?" Ethan retorted.
"Say what you will. You can insult me all you want, as long as you hand over the Sun and Moon Beads and let me take them back to Celestia Vale. You can do whatever you want with me." Jesse, still unwilling to give up, tried to negotiate with Ethan.
"Why? Can you match my Sun and Moon Beads? I'd have to be out of my mind to hand them over to you!" Ethan rolled his eyes, suppressing the urge to act, and snorted. If it weren't for Phoenix and Francis repeatedly warning him not to engage with people from Celestia Vale, he would have acted long ago!
"So, you're determined not to hand over the Sun and Moon Beads?" Jesse asked, frowning.
"Unless I'm dead. If you have the ability, kill me, and the beads will be yours. But do you dare?" Ethan sneered coldly.
"I indeed don't dare, nor do I intend to kill you. But for the sake of the world, even if it means my death, I will find a way to make you hand over the Sun and Moon Beads!" Jesse shook his head, still unwilling to give up.
"Why are you so stubborn, man? If you dare to target my Sun and Moon Beads again, don't blame me for being rude!" Ethan glared at Jesse, gave a warning, and then turned away.
He realized that communicating with Jesse was difficult. It was best to stay as far away from him as possible!
"Ethan, I will find you again!" Jesse shouted with determination as he watched Ethan's retreating figure.
Ethan quickened his pace, feeling frustrated.
Despite his frustration, Ethan wasn't too worried. Ethan shook his head, thinking, 'Apart from failing in two sneak attacks, Jesse hasn't used any excessive means against me or those around me. In this regard, he still adheres to some principles.
'I need to be more careful in the future. But what should I do about the Sun and Moon Beads always running off uncontrollably?'
When he returned to the villa, he saw that Greg had called people to carry the unconscious Andrew onto a vehicle and take him away. Greg stayed behind, waiting for Ethan to return.
"Mr. Wilson, did you get the items back?" Greg quickly stepped forward to ask.
"Yes. Remember what happened today stays between us. Keep it a secret!" Ethan warned again, not entirely reassured, before getting into the car with Greg and leaving the scene.
