Chapter 341 Being Late
Even though the Sun and Moon Beads had soaked up a ton of demonic energy, Asura Bloodhand didn't seem to be weakening, at least from Ethan's point of view.
"You've really pissed me off. Today, I'll kill you first and then take the Sun and Moon Beads!" Asura Bloodhand roared, sending two black demonic shadows straight at Jesse and Ethan.
Maybe because of his anger, those shadows moved so fast that Ethan and Jesse got hit head-on.
Ethan felt like all his bones shattered, and a surge of energy went wild in his chest!
He coughed up blood, and his limbs felt super heavy.
In that moment, Ethan lost his connection with the Sun and Moon Beads, and it seemed like all the energy drained out of him.
Jesse was in even worse shape. He hit the ground, vomited blood, and then passed out.
"The Sun and Moon Beads are mine today!" The demonic energy faded, revealing Asura Bloodhand's true form.
He stood in front of the floating beads, trying to grab them with the demonic energy from his hands.
Ethan desperately chanted the control spell for the beads, but it was useless. He couldn't summon any energy. He realized Asura Bloodhand's attack had completely shattered his energy!
"This guy destroyed my energy!" Ethan said.
Ethan was on the edge of despair. Without his energy, he couldn't move, worse off than a regular person, almost paralyzed.
"Don't worry. Once I control the Sun and Moon Beads, I'll come and finish you off personally!" Asura Bloodhand sensed Ethan's despair and laughed sinisterly.
But the Sun and Moon Beads resisted the demonic energy. They started spinning wildly, trying to break free.
Without Ethan's control, the beads could only defend themselves instinctively. They were absorbing the demonic energy too slowly to make a difference quickly, and it was just a matter of time before they were completely consumed!
"Stop struggling. You're destined to serve me!" Asura Bloodhand laughed, pouring even more demonic energy into the beads.
'Oh no, the Sun and Moon Beads can't hold on much longer!' Ethan's eyes widened in desperation, but he was helpless!
"Kenneth, after all these years, you still haven't changed!" At that critical moment, a man's voice suddenly echoed above the dense forest.
Hearing that familiar voice, Ethan felt a surge of joy. Even before seeing him, he knew Francis had arrived!
Francis showed up just in time, a bit late but still a huge relief. Now, all hope was pinned on him!
"It's you!" Asura Bloodhand roared in frustration, abandoning his attempt to seize the Sun and Moon Beads. He retreated swiftly, vanishing in an instant.
Francis waved his hand, collecting the Sun and Moon Beads into his sleeve. Instead of chasing Asura Bloodhand, he went to check on Jesse's injuries.
"Seriously? You're helping him first and not me?" Ethan complained, eyes wide.
"His injuries are worse than yours. At least you can still talk!" Francis replied without looking back, quickly inserting golden needles into several points on Jesse's body.
Jesse's pale face regained some color, and his chest started to rise and fall slightly.
"How is he?" Ethan asked, frowning.
"He's alive, for now. I'll take you both back first!" Francis said, pointing towards Sharon and Gabriella. Two streams of energy shattered the demonic energy binding them.
"They'll wake up soon. Asura Bloodhand has fled far and won't return for now. Once they wake up, they can leave on their own. Let's go!" With that, Francis grabbed Ethan and Jesse, one under each arm, and disappeared into the dense forest.
At Francis's house in Emerald Valley, Ethan and Jesse were laid on recliners, their bodies covered in silver needles.
"He's alive, but his previous injuries haven't healed, and now he's in this state. Whether he can continue practicing is uncertain. It's up to him now," Francis sighed after stabilizing Jesse's condition.
"Is it that serious?" Ethan felt guilty, knowing Jesse got hurt trying to help him.
"Stop worrying about others and focus on yourself. Your injuries are just as bad. If it weren't for the Sun and Moon Beads protecting your vital energy, you'd be dead!" Francis finally turned to Ethan, bluntly reminding him.
"I can't sense any super energy in my body. Did Asura Bloodhand absorb it?" Ethan asked, looking grim.
"Not just your energy, but your bones are also damaged or broken. It's a miracle you're alive. If you don't want to die, shut up and let me heal you!" Francis said, helping Ethan sit up.
"You finally remembered to help me?" Ethan rolled his eyes, feeling a piercing pain spread through his body.
Francis's right hand struck several points on Ethan's body, each strike sending a powerful surge of super energy into him.
Though each strike caused excruciating pain, Ethan felt significantly better afterward!
