Chapter 352 Asura Bloodhand Returned
When Phoenix saved Jessie, Ethan, floating in mid-air, finally relaxed. Feeling inspired, he sat cross-legged in the air, closed his eyes, and fell in a light sleep.
Seeing this, Jessie copied Phoenix and sat down, ignoring Ronald and Dorian, who were still confused.
Dorian's expression shifted several times before he gave Ronald a look.
Ronald got the hint and followed Dorian down the mountain.
At the base, they stopped.
"Phoenix showed up. What now?" Ronald asked, worried, turning to Dorian.
"We can't grab those beads now," Dorian said, looking grim.
"So, we just give up? We didn't get the items, and now we're caught!" Ronald protested.
"Then let's not hide it. We're after those beads, and others will be too," Dorian said, thinking quickly.
"You mean spread the word and stir thing up?" Ronald's eyes lit up.
"Exactly, it's our best shot! It'll take the heat off us," Dorian said, squinting.
The pressure he mentioned came from Celestia Vale's rules and Phoenix's earlier threat.
If more people break the rules, their mistakes might be overlooked.
"Dorian, you're sharp. This could work! I'll get Larry to spread the word in Celestia Vale right away!" Ronald said, clearly pleased with the plan.
By dawn, a large group of warriors, including some Half-Step Grandmasters and even master-level experts, had gathered at the mountain's base.
But everyone stayed put, looking up at Ethan floating above, feeling the intense aura from the mountaintop. Their faces showed uncertainty.
More importantly, a few who had rushed up saw Phoenix and came back down, looking defeated.
With Phoenix there, no one dared to act rashly.
Still, they couldn't just leave.
Whether warriors or master-level experts, no one could resist the lure of the Sun and Moon Beads.
Even though Phoenix was a grandmaster, he wasn't the only one. The situation was still unclear, and everyone waited at the base, hoping for a chance, unwilling to leave.
Everyone hoped to take advantage of any chaos. Even a slim chance was enough to keep them there, hoping to snag the beads.
"It seems your plan isn't working. These people alone can't stir things up enough," Ronald said, frowning as he watched the crowd from the dense forest.
"Hold on. It's only been one night," Dorian said, more patient than Ronald. As the news spread, someone capable of challenging Phoenix would show up, especially the deacon elders of Celestia Vale.
"You all just keep staring at the mountain. The Sun and Moon Beads are mine!" a harsh voice suddenly rang out, followed by a gust of black mist.
"Isn't that Asura Bloodhand, who disappeared over a decade ago?"
"He's back! Has he recovered to grandmaster level?"
"This should be interesting. Can Phoenix handle him?"
"Probably not. It took over a dozen master-level experts and two grandmasters to defeat Asura Bloodhand back then. Several Celestia Vale elders died!"
Several master-level experts exclaimed, recognizing the newcomer.
"Asura Bloodhand!" Dorian and Ronald were shocked but soon looked excited.
"Great! If Asura Bloodhand can injure Phoenix, he can deal with Ethan too!" Dorian quickly thought through the consequences and sneered.
"But if he gets the items, won't it be even harder for us?" Ronald asked, uneasy.
"Do you think the other deacon elders of Celestia Vale will just stand by? They'll hunt him down. Both sides will suffer. Even if Celestia Vale wins, they'll be weakened. That might be our chance!" Dorian said confidently.
"If it goes like you say, it could work out for us," Ronald said, finally relaxing a bit.
At the mountaintop, Ethan had been floating in a light sleep all night and still showed no sign of waking up.
Phoenix was still in a light sleep while Jessie sat nearby, occasionally glancing anxiously at Ethan.
After a night of light sleep, Ethan's aura stabilized and its growth slowed down.
As his aura became more restrained, no one could gauge his strength; they only felt strong pressure around him.
If Phoenix hadn't been protecting Jessie, this pressure might have pushed her halfway down the mountain.
"Ethan, I'm back. Didn't expect me to recover to Grandmaster level, did you? Hand over the Sun and Moon Beads, and I might show mercy!" a strange shout came from the foot of the mountain, getting closer.
Jessie's face changed dramatically as she heard the voice.
Phoenix, sitting on the ground, finally opened his eyes.
"Kenneth, I didn't expect you to dare return after all these years. I advise you to stop this," Phoenix's loud voice echoed in the valley.
"Today, I will take the Sun and Moon Beads. Then, I will open the Divine Sea and enter the divine realm," Asura Bloodhand shouted, rushing towards Ethan in a cloud of black demonic energy.
"Phoenix, please save Ethan!" Jessie pleaded, her face pale with worry.
