Chapter 343 Half-Step Grandmaster
Ethan was at a loss for words. Running into Asura Bloodhand was the last thing he expected, and he was badly hurt, losing his Sea of Energy and all his super energy. But somehow, he reached the Half-Step Grandmaster level!
"Dividing consciousness. I get it now!" Ethan thought for a moment, then nodded like he had a lightbulb moment.
"Ethan, are you a Half-Step Grandmaster now?" Sarah and Chloe asked together.
They knew what that meant—just one step away from being a master!
Seeing their excited faces, Ethan nodded firmly.
"Yep, I'm a Half-Step Grandmaster now!" Ethan walked over to Francis and asked, "Even at the master level, there should be a Sea of Energy. The Sea of Consciousness and the Sea of Energy are different, right? So, where did my super energy come from?"
"It's because of the Sun and Moon Beads. You were lucky to merge them into your body, replacing your Sea of Energy!" Francis explained, looking at Ethan with a mix of emotions.
"Replace the Sea of Energy? So, these beads are my new Sea of Energy?" Ethan was shocked again.
"Exactly. After your shallow sleep, you connected with the Sun and Moon Beads. They're now part of you, and you can summon them anytime. You control them with your mind now, no need to worry about anyone stealing them!" Francis nodded slowly.
"No one can take them?" Ethan was surprised. He should really thank Asura Bloodhand for this!
If it weren't for him, Ethan might not have reached this point!
"Unless you die or someone with extraordinary abilities separates them from you, which I can't do," Francis confirmed.
Ethan tried controlling the Sun and Moon Beads and found they moved with his thoughts. No more mantras needed. It felt as natural as moving his limbs!
"By the way, did anything happen while I was gone for seven days?" Ethan suddenly remembered and asked.
"Nothing major, except your ex-wife came looking for you once. We sent her away," Sarah said calmly.
"Sharon?" Ethan frowned.
He thought, 'After Sharon and Gabriella were rescued, they must've gone back to Novaria. I did my best for them. Why is Sharon looking for me again?'
"What's up? Mad I didn't keep her here?" Sarah pouted, seeing Ethan's frown.
"What are you talking about? I'm just wondering why Sharon came to see me. We're done!" Ethan rolled his eyes.
"The Selection Meeting is over. Things are about to get lively. Since you're okay now, you should leave soon," Francis said calmly.
"Think I want to stay here? This place is a dump! Chloe, Sarah, let's go home!" Ethan shot a glare at Francis and left with the girls.
Now, as a Half-Step Grandmaster, Ethan felt a huge boost in strength. He even thought he could take on someone like Ignatius, who'd been at this level for ages!
With the Sun and Moon Beads, Ethan knew he was a cut above other Half-Step Grandmasters. He wasn't sure if he could handle master-level experts or Dorian, though.
Excited by his breakthrough, Ethan wanted to test his new skills. He grabbed Chloe and Sarah, one in each arm, and dashed down the mountain at top speed, making them scream.
Ethan's current strength and speed were on a whole new level.
Though Chloe and Sarah were startled, they were thrilled to see Ethan's newfound power.
Back in Novaria, Ethan headed straight to the villa where Andrew was held.
He hadn't checked on Andrew for seven days and worried he might've recovered and tried to escape.
Luckily, everything was as it should be when Ethan arrived.
Andrew had recovered but was still shackled by the special restraints the Miller family used to subdue warriors, unable to move.
Ethan left Sarah and Chloe in the car and followed Greg inside, finding Andrew still struggling angrily.
"Are these restraints solid?" Ethan asked, eyeing the shackles on Andrew's hands and feet.
"These are made of special alloy, designed specifically for martial artists. Unless they're a Half-Step Grandmaster or higher, no warrior can break them!" Greg said confidently.
"Good, seems my worries were for nothing!" Ethan nodded, relieved.
"Mr. Wilson, have you made a breakthrough?" Greg asked cautiously, sensing Ethan's powerful aura.
"Yep, I'm a Half-Step Grandmaster now!" Ethan didn't hide it. Everyone would find out soon enough anyway.
Greg gasped at Ethan's confirmation.
Ethan's transformation from an ordinary guy to a warrior, surpassing Greg, was shocking enough. Now, as a Half-Step Grandmaster, it felt like a fairy tale.
In less than six months, Ethan had not only become a warrior but also reached the Half-Step Grandmaster level!
Greg didn't dare ask more, thinking, 'Is it really because of the Sun and Moon Beads?'
He knew the beads were a sensitive topic for Ethan and didn't dare mention them, or he'd be in big trouble!
"Andrew's energy has almost recovered. This demonic art really works fast!" Ethan said, grinning at Andrew.
