Chapter 350 Escalating Momentum
Dorian and Ronald both had hidden agendas. Dorian had thought about using force but dropped the idea when Ronald showed up.
Dorian didn't know the secrets of the Sun and Moon Beads or why the Celestia Vale folks valued them so much, but he was sure they were treasures.
"Are you guys gonna take them or not? If not, I'm outta here!" Ethan said impatiently.
"Wait a minute! What about you injuring Larry? Think you can just walk away? You're underestimating me," Ronald shouted. He couldn't openly say he wanted the beads but couldn't let Ethan go either.
"You attacked people in Ashford territory and hurt Ignatius. Think I'll let you off easy?" Dorian sneered.
Ronald and Dorian were both playing tough.
Ethan laughed in frustration.
"You both know why Larry and Ignatius got hurt. You have no shame!" Ethan shot back, taking a gamble.
Surrounded by two master-level experts, Ethan knew escaping unscathed was unlikely. He hoped they'd clash with each other, giving him a chance.
"You're too bold. I'll teach you a lesson!" Dorian said coldly, sending a golden light mixed with strong wind toward Ethan.
Ronald hesitated but didn't intervene, thinking Dorian's attack was just to make Ethan suffer a bit. As long as Ethan didn't fall into Dorian's hands, he didn't care.
Dorian's power and speed were overwhelming, making it hard for Ethan to defend.
Feeling the terrifying aura, Ethan's face changed.
'Damn it! I shouldn't have been careless! If Mom gets hurt because of me, I'll never forgive myself!' he thought.
"Ethan!" Jessie cried out, fearing for him and wanting to shield him.
But neither Ethan nor Jessie could react in time.
At that critical moment, the two beads in front of Ethan suddenly shone brightly, like two small suns, blinding everyone.
Even Ronald and Dorian instinctively closed their eyes!
The sudden burst from the Sun and Moon Beads nullified Dorian's attack, deflecting it like a gentle breeze.
Ethan was stunned by the sudden turn of events.
'Are the beads protecting me again? Will they be useless after one use like with Larry?' he wondered.
His unease lasted a few seconds until the light from the Sun and Moon Beads faded, and he finally relaxed.
Luckily, the beads were undamaged, and his energy was intact.
What was going on?
Ethan kept a calm exterior but was deeply shocked inside.
His composure only made Dorian and Ronald more astonished. They didn't expect Ethan to neutralize a master-level attack so easily!
"What are these beads?" Dorian's face darkened. Could he, a master-level expert, not handle a Half-Step Grandmaster like Ethan?
Ronald, after his initial shock, looked greedy and mocking, as if laughing at Dorian's ignorance.
"You don't deserve them. Hand them over!" Dorian, furious, threw caution to the wind. He thought if he had the beads, he wouldn't fear anyone.
The energy from the beads was so overwhelming that even Dorian felt a chill. 'If I could use them, my power would skyrocket. I might even become invincible! Not even the elders of Celestia Vale could take these beads from me!' he thought.
As Dorian charged at Ethan, Ronald's expression changed. He couldn't let Dorian get the beads, so he followed.
They almost reached Ethan in an instant!
But to their surprise, they missed. Ethan and Jessie had suddenly reappeared several yards away!
Ethan's instant step had worked again, causing the master-level attacks to miss!
'How is he so fast?' Dorian didn't know about Ethan's instant step or teleportation. Shocked, he assumed it was thanks to the beads, making him even more eager. After missing, he charged at Ethan again.
Ronald, not to be outdone, followed. Both wanted the beads, so while targeting Ethan, they were also wary of each other, unable to fully focus on him!
Ethan took advantage of this, teleporting with Jessie repeatedly until they left the yard and reached an open field.
After a few seconds, they had chased each other for miles, reaching a mountain peak!
At the top, Ronald and Dorian surrounded Ethan, leaving him no escape!
"Where can you run now?" Dorian sneered, thinking Ethan was already a dead duck!
