Chapter 385 A Prince
In the grand hall of the fancy castle, Eric was lounging on a leather sofa, pipe in hand, grinning.
"Why isn't Alice back yet? I can't wait any longer!" Harry Churchill, looking every bit the nobleman, sat across from Eric.
"Your Majesty, waiting for a girl takes patience. Alice should be back soon. She'll be thrilled about the marriage I've arranged for her!" Eric chuckled.
"Let's hope so. I've seen her photo, and I think she'll be perfect for me," Harry said, his handsome face full of anticipation.
Just then, a bodyguard rushed in and whispered to Eric.
"What? Ethan came back with her? Wasn't he on some mission?" Eric jumped up.
"The driver didn't know your plans, and Mr. Wilson was with Ms. Rivera, so they came back together," the bodyguard explained.
"You idiots! Couldn't you have put him in a hotel first? What about the woman with him?" Eric snapped.
"They didn't see her; she must have split from Mr. Wilson," the bodyguard said.
"Eric, what's going on?" Harry asked, seeing Eric's panic.
"Nothing! Just hope he doesn't kick you out later!" Eric said, but the sweat on his forehead gave him away.
"Dad, I'm back! Do we have guests?" Alice walked in, holding Ethan's hand.
"Alice, you're stunning!" Harry's eyes lit up, but then he noticed Alice and Ethan holding hands.
"Who are you?" Alice asked, eyeing Harry suspiciously.
"Alice, don't be rude. This is Harry from the Kingdom of Eilan, one of King Tuckri's favorite princes," Eric introduced, watching Alice's reaction.
"Since you have guests, we'll leave. I'll show Ethan around the estate," Alice said, losing interest and preparing to leave with Ethan.
"Wait!" Harry called out before Eric could speak.
"What do you want?" Alice asked, not caring about the prince.
"What's your relationship with this gentleman?" Harry asked, staring at Ethan.
"Eric, is Harry holding a gruage against me?" Ethan raised an eyebrow.
Eric, sensing trouble, quickly explained, "His name is Ethan, from Vexa, and he's my business partner!"
"He's my man!" Alice added, wrapping her arm around Ethan's.
"Eric, don't you think you owe me an explanation?" Harry said, frowning.
"Ethan, don't you think you owe me an explanation?" Eric, feeling helpless, glared at Ethan.
"What explanation do you want? You told me to bring Alice back, and I did. What more do you need?" Ethan asked, puzzled.
"Keep your distance. You already have three women around you. Isn't that enough? Alice needs a faithful man!" Eric angrily separated Ethan from Alice.
"Dad, do you want me to pluck every hair from your beard?" Alice fumed. She had finally gotten Ethan to accept her, only for Eric to interfere again.
"So you want Alice to marry this prince?" Ethan quickly understood why Harry was so hostile.
The Kingdom of Eilan was tiny, not even as big as a large city in Vexa. Eric must be losing his mind to think so highly of a random prince from there, Ethan thought.
"What? You wanted me back because of him?" Alice realized what was going on.
"My name is Harry! Alice, this man has deceived you. He doesn't deserve you," Harry said arrogantly.
"I don't mind you liking Alice, and you can pursue her if you want. But don't compare yourself to me. In my eyes, you're nothing," Ethan said bluntly, disgusted by Harry's superiority complex.
"What did you say?" Harry was shocked, his eyes wide in disbelief.
"Eric, either let us leave, or I'll throw this prince out. Your choice," Ethan gave Eric an ultimatum.
"I'd rather you throw me out!" Eric said helplessly, as things had spiraled out of control.
He never expected Ethan to come back with Alice instead of going on his task.
"Let's go!" Ethan snorted and walked out with Alice.
As they disappeared through the door, Harry stared at Eric in disbelief. "What is going on?"
"Well, as he said, you can leave now, Your Majesty." Eric sighed, dropping his courteous demeanor and mocking Harry.
"How dare you speak to me like that? Do you know who I am?" Harry was astonished.
"It doesn't matter who you are. Alice doesn't like you; she already has someone she loves, even if I'm not happy about it," Eric said, looking at the door where Alice and Ethan had disappeared.
"You'll regret this. You'll all regret offending me. I'll make you pay!" Harry lost his temper and threatened Eric.
"I hate being threatened. Even King Tuckri wouldn't dare speak to me like that. Who do you think you are?" Eric said as a group of bodyguards rushed in, pointing their guns at Harry.
"What are you doing?" Cold sweat broke out on Harry's forehead.
"Throw him out!" Eric ordered, then chased after Alice and Ethan.
