Chapter214Gino
Gino chuckled, then walked over to Ethan and Sarah, looking down at the pale-faced Ethan.
"You're quite clever! Luckily, you won't die!" With that, Gino handed a white capsule to Sarah and instructed calmly, "Give this to him. It will do him good."
Sarah stood there stunned, looking at the white capsule, unsure of what to do, clearly having some reservations.
"Thank you!" Ethan just glanced at the capsule and then nodded at Gino in gratitude.
Hearing this, Sarah finally took the capsule and immediately smelled a strong medicinal fragrance emanating from it.
She looked at Ethan, who nodded at her, and then quickly placed the capsule into Ethan's mouth.
In just a moment, Ethan's previously pale face regained some color, and his breathing became much smoother.
Seeing this, the previously worried Sarah let out a sigh of relief.
"Sir, are you going to get involved in the Ashford family’s affairs? What exactly is your relationship with Ethan?" Gino's actions clearly indicated his stance. He was indeed on Ethan's side, which made the already furious Ignatius feel even more aggrieved.
Ignatius thought he had suffered a great loss at Ethan's hands and was planning to kill him in revenge, only to be thwarted by some guy who appeared out of nowhere! He wondered why he had never heard of this guy who made him feel threatened.
"I don't know anything about the Ashford family, nor do I intend to get involved in any family disputes. But Ethan, you can't touch him. At least not while he's with me!"
Gino shook his head slowly, his tone filled with undeniable authority as if he didn't take Ignatius seriously at all.
"So, you're determined to be an enemy of the Ashford family?" Ignatius's mouth twitched continuously, clearly intending to use the Ashford family name to pressure the other party.
"Didn't I make myself clear just now? This is my territory. You caused trouble here, and I haven't even held you accountable yet. Now you're threatening me? Do you think I'm easy to bully?" Gino retorted indifferently.
"Uncle, Gino's background is complex. It's said that he has connections with many important figures. Otherwise, how could he run Midnight Oasis?" Lucian whispered in Ignatius's ear.
"Fine! I'll let him live a few more days. Let's see how long you can protect him!" Ignatius started to laugh, clearly aware that continuing to tangle in his current state would not be advantageous. After leaving a harsh remark, he turned and left with Magnus and the others.
As soon as they exited the sauna area, Ignatius suddenly spat out a mouthful of blood and then fainted.
This scared Magnus and the others. They quickly lifted Ignatius and fled in panic, attracting a large crowd of onlookers.
"Help Ethan and follow me!" After Ignatius and his men left, Gino turned to Sarah and instructed, then led the way into a nearby work area.
Knowing that Gino was helping them, Sarah didn't hesitate any longer. Supporting the still unsteady Ethan, she followed him into a lounge.
After Sarah settled Ethan on a spacious sofa, Gino sent a staff member out and then closed the lounge door.
"Mr. Salvador, thank you so much for saving us just now!" Sarah looked at Gino with a face full of gratitude.
However, Gino's next move shocked Sarah.
After closing the door, Gino walked directly in front of Ethan and, without any warning, said, "I am the apprentices of Magister."
Sarah's eyes widened in disbelief as she stared at Gino.
"When you took out the Heart Protection Capsule earlier, I had a rough idea of your identity. This world is indeed small!"
Ethan's face didn't show much surprise. He nodded with a bitter smile.
The Heart Protection Capsule was one of the most basic herbal remedies for strengthening the body in the first level of the ZF knack medical techniques. Although Ethan had never made it himself, he could roughly identify its ingredients by the smell, thus recognizing it.
The process of making the Heart Protection Capsule wasn't as magical as some novels describe. It just had stringent requirements for one's strength, needing to incorporate super energy for assistance. With Ethan's current strength, he couldn't yet make even the most basic Heart Protection Capsule, but Magister could!
Even this basic capsule had miraculous effects on ordinary people. Gino took it out in that situation partly because Ethan needed it, partly to reveal his identity, and partly to intimidate Ignatius.
Perhaps the Heart Protection Capsule wasn't an unattainable treasure for the four major families, but it definitely was rare. Someone who could casually take out a Heart Protection Capsule naturally had an extraordinary identity, which would make Ignatius wary!
At least, after being injured, Ignatius didn't have a Heart Protection Capsule to take, and that was the difference.
"Ethan, there were too many eyes and ears just now, so I couldn't reveal your identity. If my words were offensive, please forgive me!" Gino explained somewhat uneasily, with his head lowered.
"You saved me. I should be thanking you. There is no need to worry too much!"
Ethan shook his head with a bitter smile, feeling a bit embarrassed.
"How did you know I was here?" Ethan asked.
"I received a message from Emerald Valley. I was also surprised to hear that the Magister had taken a disciple on behalf of his mentor. The Magister instructed me to ensure your safety while you're in Everglow City, so I've been keeping track of your movements. However, there were too many eyes around, so it wasn't suitable to reveal my identity. I hope you understand!" Gino quickly explained.
He took out a beige envelope from his pocket and handed it directly to Ethan. "This is a letter the Magister sent a few days ago, asking me to pass it to you if I had the chance."
Ethan felt a warmth in his heart. He hadn't expected his teacher to be still concerned about him and his safety, even from Novaria.
Although this was partly due to his identity as the head of the ZF Guild, some sentiments couldn't be measured solely by identity and duty.
Putting the letter into his pocket, Ethan curiously asked, "What's your current strength? You shouldn't be weaker than Ignatius. Are you also at the half-step master level?"
"It's a bit embarrassing to say, but despite following the Magister for thirty years, I still haven't reached the master level."
Gino looked embarrassed as if being at the half-step master level at his age was shameful.
