Chapter 420 The Beautiful Supervisor
Ethan got up from the couch and, heading to Eric's study, said, "I booked a flight for two hours from now. We need to leave soon. Go say goodbye to Eric!"
"So soon? Are you going alone or are we both going?" Alice asked, clinging to Ethan's arm.
"What do you think? If you don't want to come, just forget I said anything. I can go alone," Ethan replied seriously.
"That's not what I meant! You're not leaving me behind. Wherever you go, I go!" Alice said, holding onto Ethan's arm.
That afternoon, Ethan and Alice left Norway and flew to Novaria. To Ethan's surprise, Lilia came to the airport to see them off.
Maybe it was Alice's words, but Ethan noticed a strange look in Lilia's eyes.
He quickly dismissed the thought. He had enough to worry about explaining Alice to Sarah, Chloe, and Hannah, not to mention Jessie!
Ethan had planned to finish his task in Norway in a few days, but it took almost a week.
As soon as he got off the plane and turned on his phone, he got a text: [What did you give me? It sucks! Why are the instructions incomplete? Can't you give me something complete?]
Ethan was taken aback, picturing Angela's frustrated face.
He remembered giving her parts of the ZF knack, thinking it would be enough. Clearly, it wasn't.
Ethan quickly replied: [Just got off the plane. I'll teach you in person when I have time.]
"Are we going to the office or home?" Alice asked as they left the terminal.
"Let's take a cab home first. My mom's definitely there. The others are probably busy. You can talk to Jessie first." Just as Ethan was about to hail a cab, a black Jeep pulled up.
"Get in!" Angela, driving the Jeep, said calmly.
"What are you doing here?" Ethan asked, surprised to see her.
"Why can't I be here?" Angela replied, puzzled.
"Is your intelligence agency that free now?" Ethan wondered.
"Not really. Thanks to you, the task went smoothly. I could've taken a few days off, but I applied for a transfer and came to Novaria," Angela explained, glancing at Alice.
"What are you doing in Novaria?" Ethan asked, feeling a bit nervous.
"I've joined the Nightfall Brigade, and my superiors approved it. My original position stays, but I'm here for training. Didn't you say you'd teach me when you have time? Now you'll have plenty of chances!" Angela's words crushed Ethan's last bit of hope.
"Of course. What's meant to come will come. Norman must think I need supervision," Ethan said with a wry smile.
"Good you understand. Norman wants to know when you can start," Angela said smugly.
"I need to go back to the Wilson Villa in a few days. I have a lot to handle. I can't say for sure right now. How about I let you know when I'm free?" Ethan replied, feeling helpless.
If he had known, he wouldn't have impulsively agreed to form the Nightfall Brigade. It was turning into a hassle!
"Alright. I'll pick you up in the morning. I need you for a day to give Norman an answer!" Angela insisted.
"Fine, I probably don't have anything tomorrow. I'll go with you," Ethan reluctantly agreed.
After Angela dropped them off at the villa, she drove away.
"Ethan, why does Angela have a comforting aura, like yours?" Alice asked.
Ethan's heart skipped a beat. Could it be the super energy he left in Angela? How could Alice sense that?
"What do you mean?" Ethan probed.
"I can't explain it. It's just a feeling. I never felt this with Chloe or Sarah. It's weird!" Alice said, puzzled.
"With Angela as a sample, I wonder what would happen if they all started training?" Ethan mused.
As his strength grew, Ethan thought about enhancing his loved ones' self-defense abilities.
If Sarah, Chloe, Hannah, Alice, and Jessie could all train to become warriors or even reach master level, would he still need to worry about their safety?
"It's time to put this on the agenda," Ethan muttered.
Alice was about to ask what he meant when the villa door opened, and Jessie walked out.
"Why are you standing at the door? Come in!" Jessie said, eyeing Ethan and then Alice.
"Aunt Jessie, hello!" Alice said nervously, meeting Jessie for the first time.
After they entered the house, Jessie pulled Ethan into the kitchen and asked quietly, "Is she the Alice?"
"Yeah, what do you think?" Ethan asked.
"You're driving me crazy. There are already three women at home, and you bring another one? How far have you two gone?" Jessie asked, exasperated.
"We've done everything. We might even give you a grandson or granddaughter!" Ethan admitted straightforwardly.
