Chapter30 No Pleasantries
In the Novaria North Development Zone, at Cloud Infrastructure’s president’s office, Zachary sat on his revolving chair while holding his charming secretary in his arms. His pleased grin reflected his enjoyment as his fingers strayed beneath her formal skirt.
“Sir,” the secretary's eyes were seductive, her body twisted in his arms like a water snake, “You promised to buy a villa for me, but I haven't even seen the shadow of it!”
Zachary chuckled and took out a bunch of keys from his desk, stuffing them into her collar. “Take these!”
“What are these?”
She couldn't contain her excitement as she took the keys from her chest.
Zachary replied, with his face flushed with excitement.
“The Thomas family's villa; it's yours.”
He reached out his hand and squeezed her waist elatedly, “That girl, Chloe, probably hasn’t even realized that I already used up her final payment for the project. I used that money to buy the villa!”
The secretary giggled flirtatiously.
Swallowing the final payment was something Zachary had done countless times; he was familiar with it!
Cloud Infrastructure was Cloud Group’s subsidiary, and it had no shortage of partners. Who would dare make a fuss over him swallowing one payment after another?
In Novaria, Cloud Group was everything!
Zachary smirked and touched his belt, “I gave you the villa, so how will you thank me?”
The secretary understood, throwing a seductive glance while slowly reaching down.
Just at that moment.
There was a knock on that door, and a young man's voice came through the wooden door, “Reporting, Sir, the manager of Chloe Renovations is here and wants to see you!”
“Chloe Renovations?”
Zachary was in a good mood and waved his hand impatiently, “Doesn’t she know I'm busy? Tell her to leave, and…”
But suddenly, a wicked gleam flashed in his eyes.
Chloe wasn't ordinary pretty. She was young and beautiful, like a fresh and tender peach. She paid great attention to the final payment for their last collaboration, so she’s visited him several times!
“If I can get her into bed...” Zachary's thoughts grew hotter and hotter. He pushed his secretary aside and raised his voice, “Tell her I have some free time, bring her in!”
Outside the door, the sound of the young man's footsteps quickly faded.
About three minutes later.
With a creak, the door was pushed open from the outside, Chloe and Ethan walking in one after the other.
“Hmm?”
Zachary glanced at her pretty face; his eyes filled with desire. Then, he looked at Ethan and couldn't hide the hint of mockery at the corner of his eyes.
In the previous visits for payment, she came alone, but now she brought an assistant?
Looking at his expressionless face, Ethan irritated anyone who laid eyes on him!
“Sir.”
Chloe endured Zachary's observant gaze and politely smiled, “According to the agreement, our collaboration has already been completed, and the final payment should’ve been given to me a month ago.”
However, her words were directly interrupted.
Zachary crossed his legs and constantly admired her exquisite figure, his eyes filled with greed, “Miss Miller, you want money, right? Let's be straightforward; I have money! Come to Moon Hotel, Room 1106 at 8 tonight. You know what to do!”
Chloe's mind raced and exploded with anger. With a hum, her delicate fists clenched tightly, shaking with anger.
Scum, rogue, bastard, scum!
Not only did he not give her the money, but he also wanted her to sleep with him?
Shouldn’t he go take a piss and look in the mirror to see his ugly face, resembling a whole car accident scene? He was simply disgusting!
“As far as I know, Cloud Infrastructure is Cloud Group’s subsidiary,” Ethan calmly said beside Chloe. “I have checked Cloud Group's employee regulations, and the 6th article strictly prohibits any department or individual from doing anything damaging to the company's interests, image, reputation, or development.”
“May I ask, if your actions here are reported to Cloud Group's high-level management, could you still keep your position as president?”
Ethan's voice wasn't loud, but every word was determined and sharp!
“You've got quite a sharp tongue!”
Zachary shifted his legs and sneered at Ethan with a sideways glance. “Talking to me about employee regulations?”
As he said that, he slammed the table with arrogance. “Kid, remember that this is my territory, my company! I have the final say!”
“And you, Chloe. Is this the kind of employee you have under you? How dare he talk to me like this? Get him out of here, I don't want to see him any longer!”
“Sir, you've gone too far!”
Chloe's chest was about to burst with anger as she glared fiercely at Zachary, ready to scold him.
“Zachary,” Ethan waved his hand gently, signaling her not to say more as he whispered, “I'll give you three minutes to settle the final payment for the cooperation in full. Otherwise, you'll face the consequences. Countdown starts now!”
Three minutes? Countdown?
Zachary burst into laughter instantly.
He patted his thigh, motioning for his secretary to come over as he embraced her thin waist with a sneer. “Secretary, tell them where the final payment is?”
The secretary twisted her waist, glancing at Chloe and Ethan with pursed lips as she softly chuckled. “You don't need to think about the final payment, since the president bought me a villa with it! Do you know about the Thomas family in Novaria? That villa belongs to them!”
The Thomas family villa?!
Ethan's heart skipped a beat.
His emotions couldn't help but become complicated!
He had lived in the Thomas family's villa for three years and naturally had some feelings toward it. Now that the Thomas family had gone bankrupt, the villa was mortgaged and sold at a low price to Zachary. Even worse, it had been given to his mistress.
A hidden woman!
“Listen carefully! Chloe didn't get it because I’ve spent all that money!” Zachary obviously didn't notice Ethan's expression, and even if he did, he wouldn't care at all. He arrogantly laughed, “Listen closely and get lost now, or don't blame me for being rude later!”
Ethan understood, and Chloe understood it even more!
She originally wanted to curse angrily, but when she saw Ethan's silent face, she sighed faintly in her heart and pulled his sleeve. “I knew it. We definitely wouldn't get the money back. Forget it, let's go.”
As she spoke, she turned around to leave.
“No,” Ethan shook his head slowly.
His feet seemed to have taken root on the ground, standing firmly in place with his gaze and voice equally cold. “Zachary, I’d like to see how impolite you can be!”
“Oh?” Zachary sneered and pointed at Ethan, full of arrogance. “It's simple to deal with you, isn't it? Secretary, call someone and kick this guy out for me!”
The secretary slid off his thigh, glancing at Ethan with scorn. Afterward, she picked up the landline on the desk and shouted sweetly, “Bring all the security guards up right now. There’s trouble here, and we need these people thrown out!”
