Chapter 347 Meeting On A Narrow Path
Alexander was worried, but all he could do was pray for Ethan and hope things went smoothly.
With Ethan's skills and speed, he could reach the target area in seconds without being noticed by the warriors.
The difference between a Half-Step Grandmaster and a regular warrior was clear.
Ethan's spiritual sense let him avoid the warriors up close, even passing behind them undetected.
Taking out the warriors wasn't hard for Ethan, but doing it without alerting Ignatius was the tricky part.
After some thought, Ethan decided not to eliminate the warriors. Instead, he climbed up to the second-floor balcony while they weren't paying attention.
Through a window, Ethan saw Roy inside, busy organizing documents.
"Jessie, don't blame me. I have to tell them the truth! There's only half a month left; I can't risk my life on you!" Roy muttered. He was about to leave after organizing the documents.
Hearing the name Jessie made Ethan tense up.
He thought, 'Mom is really here!'
Ethan felt an urgent need and overwhelming anger towards Dorian.
Roy was about to leave, but when he opened the door, he saw Ethan.
Before Roy could shout, Ethan grabbed his neck.
"If you don't want to die, don't do anything stupid. For my mom, killing you wouldn't bother me at all!" Ethan's stern warning made Roy swallow his words.
"You know everything?" Roy finally recovered from his shock and looked at Ethan in disbelief.
"Don't waste time. Where is Ignatius?" Ethan's tone left no room for doubt.
"He just said he was going to contact Dorian and left my office. I don't know where he is now; maybe he went to the basement!" Roy explained, panicking.
Ethan frowned, then quickly inserted several silver needles into Roy.
"What did you do to me?" Roy asked, terrified.
"Shut up! I can kill you anytime, so behave yourself!" Ethan warned.
"Of course, I'll behave!" Roy, pale with fear, nodded quickly.
"Good. Now, distract the guards downstairs and take me to the basement! Remember, no tricks, or I'll kill you immediately!" Ethan instructed.
"But taking you to the basement is easy; avoiding Ignatius is almost impossible. If he finds out, I'm done for!" Roy swallowed hard, feeling trapped.
"Don't worry. You have no choice, and I'm sure Ignatius will understand!" Ethan sneered and pushed Roy out.
Distracting the guards was easy for Roy; all it took was a word from him. After all, he was still the highest authority here in name.
When Roy entered the elevator, Ethan followed, still unnoticed by anyone else.
However, Ethan didn't expect to be so "lucky". As the elevator descended, he sensed the situation in the basement and found Ignatius right at the elevator door.
Ethan thought, 'Did this guy already discover me? But everything seems normal, and Ignatius's face shows no expression. Is it just a coincidence? No, both Ignatius and I are Half-Step Grandmasters, and Ignatius has been one for over a decade. How could he not have noticed me?'
As they were about to face each other, with only the elevator door between them, Ignatius's face still showed no change, making Ethan even more suspicious.
Did Ignatius know Ethan was here and was luring him out?
As the elevator door was about to open, Ethan couldn't think any longer. Striking first was his best choice.
The moment Ignatius saw him, Ethan struck out with a palm, hitting Ignatius in the chest and sending him flying.
Ignatius had no defense at all. Had Ignatius really not discovered Ethan?
Spiritual sense was almost an instinct, like seeing clearly as long as there was light. How could Ignatius not sense him?
So, Ignatius might have no spiritual sense, or his spiritual sense was much weaker than Ethan's.
"It's you!" The unexpected attack left Ignatius severely injured, giving Ethan an advantage.
"Surprised? If you don't want to die, release my mom immediately, or everyone here will die!" Ethan looked down at Ignatius, who was lying on the ground with blood at the corner of his mouth, and warned coldly.
"So you know everything. Wait, you can hurt me? You're already a Half-Step Grandmaster?" Ignatius, realizing it late, was shocked.
"Surprised? I just entered Half-Step Grandmaster, but it's more than enough to deal with you!" Ethan said confidently.
"If you want to save your mom, let's see if you have the ability! So what if you're a Half-Step Grandmaster? Dorian should already know what's happening here. He'll be here in less than five minutes, and you won't be able to leave then!" Ignatius gritted his teeth.
Ethan's strength and power were incomprehensible to him, so he brought up Dorian, hoping to intimidate Ethan and make him retreat.
"Dorian dares to imprison my mom. I want to settle this with him!" Ethan sneered, not taking Dorian seriously at all.
